Chapter 12: Chapter 11: Exploring Underwater Cave

In his previous life, John had always wanted to explore the ocean on earth, but humans never really managed to probe deep oceans due to technological restrictions.

Now that he didn't need to breathe underwater, he used his character Coolio to fulfill his desires by exploring deep underwater caves.

He did this occasionally during his rest hours when Coolio had finished his day's training.

<Coolio entered the underwater cave but found that the entrance suddenly closed on its own. The dark cave suddenly lit up and was filled with light.>

<You know something is wrong, and immediately fly to the closed entrance and strike it with all your strength. To your surprise, the cave entrance doesn't even have a crack.>

<A voice then sounds in your cave.>

<Detecting that a creature has entered the inheritance lands, scanning, scan complete. It's an intelligent creature.>

<Proceed to check the creature's power level. The power level is detected to be 75,000. Estimating the age of the alien species, the age is determined to be 12 years old. It meets the inheritance test requirements.>

<Please state your name to proceed with the test.>

<My name is Coolio, and I come from the surface. May I know whose inheritance land this is?>

<Current qualifications are insufficient, but if you pass the inheritance tests. I shall answer all your questions.>

<The cave's environment started changing as if it had a mind of its own. The voice then gave Coolio instructions regarding his test, which was to go forward and lift a dark blue colored cube.>

<After lifting it, he was supposed to carry it deeper into the cave. There he would meet the second task. The time limit for completing the first task was one year.>

John felt that this task was effortless, but he didn't know the weight of the dark blue cube. He went there and tried lifting it, but it barely budged at all.

John then asked his trusty helper, the system, for answers, but unexpectedly the system kept quiet. No matter what he said, he heard no replies.

<Day 70: Coolio finally lifted the cube in the air, to be precise, one centimeter up in the air. Coolio's power level reached an astonishing 85,000, a 10,000 increase in 10 days.>

John - "10,000 in 10 days. That never happened when I trained before, so it must be due to the cube, but what is the cube."

<Day 80: As you lifted the dark blue cube, you felt it passing on energy back to you. At the same time, you found the energy in your body was steadily increasing.>

John- ''It seems whenever the cube is lifted, it gives out the energy stored inside, but this energy is quite refined; otherwise, it would not be able to convert to my energy so easily."

<Day 152: Coolio is finally able to lift the cube entirely off the ground and carry it forward. Your combat power has skyrocketed and reached an unprecedented 175,000.>

<Coolio was told by the voice that the cube has to be placed on the right cube-like shelf. Next to the machine as it's a power source for the device.>

< Coolio's power level has reached 415,000 as, by the end of the fourth month, he broke his limit again and started absorbing 3,000 combat power a day.>

<Day 257: Today, Coolio finally completed the first task and put the dark blue cube on the shelf, and in turn, it started the giant machine.>

<He did not continue his cycle of breaking through the absorption limit every two months, so he only gained 42,000 in these fourteen days. Coolio's power level has reached 457,000 in total.>

<He was instructed by the voice to enter the machine and to connect several wires to his body.>

John - "This machine feels a bit sketchy. I wonder what this test will be about. If it weren't for the fact that the cube benefited me and I knew that these tests were for my benefit, I probably wouldn't go through with this."

<The machine did a full body scan and started calculating something on the screen. Coolio didn't understand what was written on the screen as he couldn't read this language.>

John - "God damn it, this stupid system. I don't know where he disappeared. Shouldn't you come out and offer me a language package or something."

<After 10 minutes, the voice once again spoke in the cave.>

<It is detected that the intelligent life form doesn't understand the ancient language. So I will voice out the next part of your test.>

<You can come out of the machine and sit on the floor. The second test ensures that you, as an alien species, can continue to evolve.>

<Coolio asks, by evolve do you mean to transform?>

<The voice replies with a yes and explains that any transformation is an evolution of the race.>

<Coolio then asks how many transformations his race can perform. The voice then responds that it detects that you can evolve but not the exact number of times.>

<You then ask what the point of having such a machine. The voice then replies and informs you that the device detects the exact requirements you need to fill and how to transform.>

<Coolio asks, "Have I met all the requirements?">

<The voice replies with a resounding yes. It then guides you on directing your energy to your arms, legs, and the red core on your chest.>

<Your skin color changes from white to dark maroon. You feel an incredible power flowing through your veins. Your power level grows at a rapid pace like never before.>

<You find that your power level has increased by a whopping 200 times. Your current power level is 91,400,000.>
