Chapter 16: Bow and Arrow

The Northern Star blinks way too fast that I can tell it's vibrating like an alarm clock. I look at what it's warning me from and I see a small horned bunny with two fangs.

"Expand." I command and information floods my eyes.

The horn can be eaten, it would taste like the white bone part in chicken and the fangs have slight venom and can be used as a dagger. The fur can be used as a pillow and the rest can be eaten. The eyes, however, were the one that caught my attention. The components are used in different ways; medicine and poison, and one of the components is an ingredient for healing water.

It's now time to hunt.

I put an arrow into my bow, stretching the string as far as I can, my hands are slightly shaking. Damn… this body… I breathe in and out, trying to relax my shoulders. I let the arrow go and it doesn't hit anything. It doesn't even land that far, just two steps away from me.

The bunny doesn't seem to hear it but it does try to look around. I hide away just to make sure it doesn't move away.

Sighing, I stand up and do it again. It still doesn't hit anything but it gets better.

"Adrian, make sure that bunny doesn't get out of our sight!"

Alright, My Lord!

I put another arrow in the bow and shoot.

After a few hours of trying to capture the Horned Bunny, with the help of Adrian, of course, I finally had done so and practised a little of my archery skills. There is much to improve, my stamina, my strength in my arms, and all of that stuff. But those will be improved in time so I'm not really worried. Now, I need to butcher this bunny to get stuff so I can tell it in town.

My Lord, do you need help?

Well… I do have a knife.

I take out the knife from my Item Boxes and say, "Expand."

First, I need to take out the eyeballs. I use the tip of the knife and pluck it out gently. Unlike what I imagined, it doesn't have those little veins I see on TV when they show those fresh human eyes but instead, it's just like a normal pair of golf balls. I put them aside and cut the chest and stomach of the bunny and I used my scatter skill so no blood would spill. I take out the heart first, and then all of the other organs. I start to slowly take the fur so the meat and the teeth are the only things remaining.

You might be thinking, how can she possibly do this and not be grossed out? Well. When you're a bear, you really have no choice but to eat anything. Even if it's livestock.

I take the fangs first. I use my scatter skill to take the poison out of it. I can use it for something else later. The fangs, I put aside. The teeth, I pluck out one by one and it can be used like jewellery. I wonder if I can turn it into a gemstone. Then I put everything on the Item Boxes except for the eyeballs. I have something else for it.

"Expand."

I put aside the components that can be used as a poison and only let the ones that can be used for medicine stay. One of them can be used for healing water so I take out two jars of water and pour the powder in. Nothing much changes, I think, not even the smell. But when I taste it, it tastes slightly sweet and I feel my fatigue fades away.

"So, this is healing water." I nod. It's like vitamins.

I put jars inside the Item Boxes. I stand up and the usual back pain from sitting too long isn't there anymore. I feel a little incomplete. I stretch, anyway, and smell a sweep of myself and it smells like blood and dirt. I sigh. I really wish I had a bathroom of my own.

And then I hear a mechanical ding ring in my ears.

I look up at the sky.

("She's going to hate you." Jesus warns.

God shrugs. "She says she needs a bath!"

"I don't think it was literal! She's going to find out you're watching her and she's going to hate you." Jesus warns once again.

And God just shrugs.

And as if on cue, Adrian informs me what just transpired.

"You mean God… just sent me a bathroom?" I blink. "Just like that?"

Yes.

I glare at the sky. If I didn't need that damn bathroom… "Show me."

Adrian suddenly turns into a door.

"Uh…"

Just open me, My Lord.

I open the door and it reveals a bathroom so large, it makes me sick. It's like something out of a five star hotel. I slowly walk inside and there's a shower on the side, and a bathtub on the other. There's a sink with a mirror in front and the tiles… is it made out of real gold?

Wait, there's a sink and there's water…

You can use everything here, My Lord, but you can't take anything out. Even if it's just tap water.

…I had high hopes.

I take off my clothes, down to my very last underwear. I open the faucet for the tub and it's warm, like just the way I like it. On top, there's a small shelf with containers. I realise it's shampoo, conditioner, soap and all the other things related to baths. I pour a bubble soap on the tub and it creates bubbles all over. I slowly enter and lay down.

I feel my anger towards whoever is in Heaven fade away and close my eyes.

"By the way, Adrian, can someone enter here?"

Not unless you want them to.

Oh. "Can anyone else see this door?"

Not unless you want them to.

I smile despite myself and fall asleep just like that.
