While slithering through the forest, I came across a river. It must be my lucky day because this river will come in handy.

I'll have to lead the river path back to the ruins somehow. Oh, I have a hoe given to me with my farming skill!

Let's get to work!

It took me a while, but I somehow built a riverbed close to the ruins. When done, I finished with a circular pond.

I'll add some live fish here for a great fishing spot later.

It looks like I'm the only one here too. I should focus on the material for the fence barrier since I can't keep risking our safety.

There's a chance we'd run into monsters if not careful.

While the others are still away, I should surprise them with the new fence barrier. I'll be sure to make it wide enough for more buildings and space for crops.

Once the barrier is completed, I'll make homes for all of us.

In the Meantime

Big and Snail are chasing three rabbits to bring back to the ruins while Yellow handmade a net to capture fish with Runt.

I finished preparing the materials I needed and used my Architecture skills to begin building.

The barrier came out great, and it took me five minutes to finish.

I proudly stared at my work. Just as I hoped, there was enough space for growth. And there should be no problem upgrading in case I need more space.

"Leader! We're back!" Yellow and Runt were slithering towards me, dragging along two nets filled with fish.

The only way in was through the pillars, so I'll be making a door that keeps unwanted visitors from coming in whenever they please.

I designed it by creating a pathway to the barrier from the pillar entrance. One can walk a path leading up to the fence with a gate entrance.

Leading from each pillar are walls that came from the ruins. If I can get a hold of some lamps to add lighting, that would be great.

While it's true that snakes can see at night, I still want to have the light in case of other inhabitants.

"So cool! Did Leader make this?" Runt asked as he slithered through the pillars up to the barrier's entrance.

I stopped before Yellow, "these nets, who made them?"

Runt looked back with a snake grin, "oh, that? Yellow crafted it." He answered.

I wouldn't be this surprised if the nets were of low quality. Or maybe I would.

She made this net with whatever materials were lying around her, and it came out perfect.

"I may have made it, but it was Runt's idea," Yellow says.

She must be too embarrassed to take all the credit. I have to say, I was impressed. If I test her, I may get the result that I expected.

But before that, I can see Big and Snail coming from the North with Rabbits in nets.

When studying the quality, I could tell that Yellow wasn't the one who created it. I also knew that Big's intelligence would never come up with the idea to do this.

I'm guessing Runt must have come up with the net idea before splitting into groups.

"Alright, let us butcher the meat and store it," I said as we entered the gate.

"Um, can you leave that task up to me?" Big asked.

"Butchering?"

He grinned, then approached the rabbits that he and Snail brought. I watched in awe as Big perfectly skinned and dismantled the Rabbits.

I'm starting to learn more about them as time goes by.

Not only was Big strong, but he also had top-notch butchering skills. On the other hand, Yellow had skills in crafting things perfectly.

Snail's hunting abilities surpass the other snakes, and Runt's ability to think ahead of others is unnatural.

If I didn't know any better, I would say they were born with skills, which is usually not likely among monsters.

Inside the fenced area, the other snakes saw their new homes built according to their personalities.

"I never thought I'd see my new home created by Leader," Yellow says with a sniffle.

"I'm glad you guys like it," I tell them proudly.

After storing the meat and checking out their new homes, we gathered together by a firepit made by Yellow.

"I want to thank all of you for helping me out. I never thought I'd get lucky enough to meet such talented snakes. So I thought it's best if I help everyone here evolve and train." I tell them.

Leo, how do we evolve to the next level?

Admin Leo: [Calculating method on evolving...]

A few minutes later

Admin Leo: [Calculation complete. Method obtained. For Master and her friends to evolve, they must eat fifty Yak Rats.]

A Yak Rat must be a kind of monster rat. Where will I find them?

Admin Leo: [Searching nearby for Yak Rats...If Master goes 30 meters South to a hidden cave, you will find a Yak Rat burrow.]

Wait, a cave? For it to be that close, I don't think I'm okay with that.

Where there's a cave, there's bound to be monsters, and I'm not talking about just Yak Rats.

After learning this, I told the other snakes my plans for evolving. They were on board more than I had expected.

If we're lucky, we'll learn a few new skills after we evolve. And if I eat them, I may get an additional skill.
