I went on a walk to clear my head i saw a woman in a black and white hood
She looked so familiar.
“Hello Jacob.” She growled. How the hell did she know my name? She looked determined for a fight, her black and white cloak disorienting me. I un- sheathed my blade, the metal shone in the sun.
“That’s a nice sword, bet I can take it off your hands.” I realized fast she was a thief. “Lowly worthless fucking thief…” She seemed like quick work so I got into position. She pulled out a knife. “I warn you, sir, I am a blood wielder.”
“You’re bluffing! Blood wielders are ancient and you look no younger than 15!” I yelled. She then slashed her arm, blood trickled down and formed into a sword.
Two words left my mouth before catching myself, “Oh shit.” I breathed in and out, her blade cut forward, flashing in the sunlight, I
screamed, my shirt cut open, with bared teeth she attacked again. I growled, tapping into my Mortem instincts and ripped the flesh from her arm with my sharp teeth. She howled and held her arm, uselessly trying to stop the bleeding. She flew toward me, arm outstretched, ready to tear out my throat. I dodged and punched her in the stomach and pinned her to the ground, punching her repeatedly. I wanted her dead. I took one look at her bloody terrorized face. It was Pandora, my old girlfriend from school.
“Pandora?” I said, my eyes tearing up. “now you remember, emo boy.” Pandora whispered. Those words cut through me like a sword after all this time. I never realized how torn she was when I left. The blood from her nose trickled down and formed a energy bomb in her hand. I ran and ducked, the explosion was small but enough to kill her.
I looked over and walked over to her and picked her up and walked her to the airbnb we were staying at. Violet stepped out “what are you doing here violet?” i asked “schools out for a day of reflection whatever the hell that means” violet replied she studied the girls body i was holding .
“Is that…?” Violet asked. I nodded and placed her down. “Who is that?” Melissa asked.
Violet teared up. “One of my old students, she was one of the best in our magic department.” I took one last look at her face before burying her. She looked so beautiful, despite being dead, I looked at her with pain knowing we will never fix our friendship. I like to think she knew I was sorry before dying. The smell of rain lingered after burying her. I walked inside and laid down in my bed memories of her flashed in my
mind. I kept telling myself to detach from the situation.
“She’s gone.”
“She’s gone.”
“She’s gone.”
I worry, who else will I lose now, O Lord above?
