Chapter 3: WALK ME HOME!

A river of students exited the school grounds, all excited for the weekend ahead of them. Meanwhile, Tatsuya was on his way to the student council room. Miku Hirata demanded that he meet her there. As he approached the student council room, a couple of students walked out. The two girls’ names are Nau Miyamura captain of the girls basketball team and Hiyori Sakayanagi, president the schools lightnovel club.

“Tatsuya! Hey Tatsuya!”

“Huh?”

“Jeez, you sure like spacing out.”

“Oh, Hey you two. You going to practice?”

“Yeah, i'm just taking Hiyori to her club and by the way we heard that you ain’t coming to the party tonight. What a bummer.”

“Yeah, sorry. Something came up.”

Tatsuya scratched the back of his head nonchalantly

“Ain’t you going to say something, Hiyori? Didn’t you say that you really wanted to... mmm.... mmm... hmmm?”

Hiyori quickly shoved her hands onto Nau's mouth

“That’s enough Nau! You promised you wouldn’t...”

“Come on, relax. I was not going to say a thing.”

“There you are, Tatsuya. I thought I told you not to be late.”

Miku emerged from the student council room with a rather dissatisfied looking face.

“Oh, sorry queen B. Hiyori and I held him up. We will be on our way now.”

Nau dragged Hiyori by the collar, she stumbled a bit as she could not cope with her athletic friends strength and pace. Hiyori tried telling Tatsuya something, but she was already too far away for him to hear her.

“So, what did you need me for, Miku?”

Tatsuya asked as Miku closed the door behind her.

“Oh yeah, before that. Could you help me with something real quick?”

Miku poured herself a cup of tea before Tatsuya answered her question.

“Even though you asking, it still feels like a demand.”

“What was that? You want to get thrown off the roof, too?”

“No, it was nothing.”

“Alrighty then...”

Miku sat down at her desk, it is placed in front of the window.  

“...Now, pick up those boxes and put them on top of the shelfs and make it snappy.”

“Yes, ma’am” Tatsuya sounded like an old man.

“There all done.”

“Hmm, great job. I knew I could count on you. That filthy masochist is good for nothing.”

“So how is Hajime doing, anyway?”

“His fine the Judo club’s mattresses broke his fall. Now enough about that.”

“So, what’s the other thing you wanted me to do?”

“Walk me home.”

“Huh?”

“Did I stutter? I said walk me home.”

“Why not ask one of the student council members? I got things to do you know.”

“What? You are free and have nothing to do today? Yay!”

“Did you not hear what I just said?”

“Come along, we leaving now.”

Realising that he has no choice in the matter, Tatsuya gave in and walked Miku all the way home.

That damned Hajime. Next time I will make sure there is nothing to break his fall

Just after Tatsuya dropped Miku off, He got a text from his younger sister Haruki.

“Well, would you look who it is. If it ain’t Mr. sister complex.” This is Mio Saiba, Haruki’s best friend.

“What was that? You so close to the ground I couldn’t hear ya.”

“SISTER OBSSESED FREAK!”

“SHORT PIPE!”

“INCEST JERK!”

“BRAINLESS TODDLER!”

“That is quite enough, you two. If you want to make babies together, just do it.”

“IT’S NOT LIKE THAT!!!”

“But look how in sync the two of you are.”

“rrrrrgh, I’m leaving. See you tomorrow Haru-chii. bluhhh!” Mio stuck her tongue out at Tatsuya as she entered her family’s konbini.

“You can be such a pain sometimes. You know that, lil sis.”

“Gwah-uhg!”

Haruki hit Tatsuya with a 7 hit combo attack, not that this actually hurt Tatsuya. He is already used to it and has encountered pain much worse than this.

“Did I not tell you to stop calling me that?”

“Hey, you shouldn’t hit your elders.”

“Just by a minute and a half. It’s not like you are a year older than me.”

“Whatever.”

Tatsuya picked himself up from the floor and dusted himself off.

“So, what are your thoughts?”

“My thoughts on what, exactly?”

“Dad hiring a babysitter for Aiko.”

“May the Gods have mercy on whoever that is. They will probably quit in the first week.”

“I agree. And It’s not just Aiko they will have to worry about.”

“Yeah, we get into so much fights with each other and Over the most stupid things.”

“Yes, especially elder sisters Rika and Kiyomi.”

“Hey, topic change. Is it ok if I take a bath first today? I gotta meet up with the guys later at Denny’s“

“My bath time slot is not cheap, you know.”

Interested in what Tatsuya has to offer, Haruki slowed down her pace to match with her brothers

“Seriously. fine, you can have my desert for a month.”

“Two!”

She exclaimed happily.

“I can’t possibly give you that much.”

“Ok then, three.”

“Ok, ok two.”

“Deal.”  It was as if her pony tail was wagging like a dog's tail. That's how happy she was about the payment.
