My voice had just fallen when the sound of a blade grinding against stone came from the direction of the name. A moss covered stone monster came out of the blades and fell in front of us with a thud.
“Damn!”
I quickly summoned four earth walls to cover us. The vibration caused the blades to start swinging, and it felt as if they might fall and accidentally injure one of us at any moment.
Even if I can use healing magic, these blades might have cause some negative effects. Who knows what sort of strange negative effects these hellblades might cause.
And I don’t dare to stay here with a monster staring at me!
Unequipping the Magic Guide Book, I sacrificed the mana to flash over to where Bai Yueguang was. It’s more open where they are after all, and it would be convenient to have their strength.
“How did you come back?”
Bai asked at our sudden appearance.
“Cut the crap, enemy attack!”
Just as I said that, the monster slammed into to an iron tree and the blades trembled in the cold light.
“Dance in the wind, Arcane · Wild Dragon Strike!”
Tai Shixi swung her halberd and a green shadow of a dragon came out of the spear. She quickly stepped forward, the dragon following her dancing sweep, before thrusting forward and the dragon flew out.。
On the other side, Bai Yueguang rushed forward and slashed at the monster.
Clang!
There was a sound of striking metal and I could see an expression of pain on Bai Yueguang’s face. I don’t know if the distress is because of his sword or if it was due to a fierce pain in his hand.
“What are you doing!”
Tai Shixi roared and rushed over to Bai Yueguang’s side, giving the monster a kick.
But a second later I saw her face distort.
“Wha! What the hell is that thing!”
Tai Shixi and Bai Yueguang jumped back and stared at the monster.
The monster seemed to rest there, and after a long pause it began to move again.
The dirt and the moss began to fall of them, revealing a silver-grey body.
Stone? Metal?
We can’t tell at all from our view. The only thing we know is that it was injured by Bai Yueguang’s attack.
Why is this here? A dedicated guardian? Why didn’t Ming Luoxin mention it? It’s more dangerous than the Hell of Iron Trees.
The monster began to move slowly for some reason, as if it were a rusty robot.
But once the monster paused, it squatted down and rushed towards us like a bullet!
It’s target wasn’t Bai Yueguang or Tai Shixi, but me and Oyado.
What the hell!?
The three of us jumped into the air. I realized that this wasn’t going while while we were in the air.
Several earthen shields covered us, and in the next moment, countless blades pierced into it, but the shield withstood the damage.
If it weren’t for the shield those would have pierced us!
“What the hell is this......”
Oyado asked in horror.
“Using traps to strengthen other traps? That’s really convenient.”
I smiled ruefully.
“If you jump or fly then you’ll be attacked by the iron trees, and on the ground there is an ‘elite guard’ protecting it. The dead would be sealed going either above or below.”
I explained, landing on the ground with them.
“It looks like it’s impossible to get past without destroying this guy, but it’s defense doesn’t seem to be anything scary.”
“That’s a terrible description!”
Tai Shixi bitterly shouted.
“This guy’s defense is really amazing! I had to kick to get past, and if I were to kick off of the same volume of normal metal it would have gone flying! It was like a a normal person kicking a wall! It was really painful!”
“Well, even if my slash didn’t have much of an effect on him. He isn’t that hard.”
Even Bai Yueguang said so.
I could only sigh.
“That said, do you have a way?”
“No.”
They both instantly responded.
Do you have to be so honest? Hmm? Do you want to go up and bring down a few more blades?
“But......”
Hei Luoli spoke up.
“Since it is a non-biological creature that’s been given life, then it must be moving due to magic or sorcery, right? If you knew how to to stop it would you be able to do it?”
“That’s easy to say, the problem is how do we do it?”
“Umm......isn’t it easy?”
Hei Luoli smiled confidently.
“Why don’t you just dig a hole and have it fall in?”
......
The five of us were silent for a few seconds, not caring about the guardian that was about to attack.
