Cloud didn’t think anything major would happen for a while, but he was proved wrong the next day. He was passing by the corridors of Hogwarts when he saw Hermione running, sobbing, and he stopped her, which she didn’t want to.
But he kept holding her hand until she turned and buried her face in his chest, whimpering, bawling her eyes out. Since she was making the scene and disliked the attention, he took her to the Gryffindor Common Room, which wasn’t far.
He wanted her to sit down on the couch, but she shook her head, whispering, “Not here.”
Cloud sighed, picking her up in his arms, and she squealed, keeping her face hidden till he brought her to his room.
“Hey, are you bringing a girl here? Did you ask Tifa?”
Lee stood up from his bed in surprise, and Cloud put Hermione down, who turned, pulling the blanket to hide her.
“Give me the room for a few hours?”
“Ok,” Lee narrowed his eyes, “Should I stop Tifa from coming?”
“No. Aerith has some photographic session today, so don’t tell them? I want her to be there for Aerith.”
“Ah, ok. I’ll leave you be,” Lee Jordon grinned, leaving the room while giving him a thumbs up. Once he left, Cloud took a chair, sitting down beside his bed.
“How long are you going to keep crying?”
“I’ll cry for as long as I want!” Hermione shouted from under the blanket, and Cloud was about to talk when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up, only to realize it was one of the Ghosts.
“That’s not how you do it in these situations.”
Cloud took a deep breath, closing his eyes, ‘It’s getting worse. I felt that touch.’
He breathed out, maybe a bit impatient, he pulled the blanket, and Hermione got pulled towards him. The bed jumped on its legs, and Hermione sat up in annoyance, “What!”
Cloud looked at her teeth, overgrown, like a rabbit, and she realized that he was looking. She covered them, getting up to run, but Cloud stopped her, pushing her back, and she fell on the bed, “What are you running from?”
“I…what are you doing?!” She felt like crying even more when her eyes met with Clouds.
“What are you running from, Hermione?” Cloud stood up, leaning over her, putting his hand on the side of her head, and she froze.
He focused his gaze on her teeth, “Someone used magic to make your teeth grow, and what you do is run and cry?”
Hermione looked away from him and continued, “But I know you…it’s probably not this one thing. You have been holding a lot this year, pushing you over. I don’t care. What do you do if someone used magic on you to make your teeth grow out?”
Hermione’s lips trembled, and her teary eyes twinkled. She bit her lip, turned her head to look at him, and breathed in, “I defeat them first…and then use magic to make my teeth better.”
“Did you defeat them?”
“No.”
“Who?”

“Malfoy….”
Cloud took her hand, “Where do you keep the Marauder’s Map?”
“Harry’s room….”
“Come with me,” Cloud took her hand and pulled her off the bed, “Then come with me.”
“Wait, my teeth.”
“Later,” Cloud held her palm in his, pulling her down the stairs, and they went to Harry’s Room. He patted her back, making her take a step forward and glare back at him.
“Map.”
Hermione curled her lips and went down on her knees, taking out a map stuck to the underside of Harry’s bed, and she opened it without even him telling her to, searching for Malfoy, “It’s potions class…he’s there.”
“Good. Then let’s go.”
“I don’t want to…Snape would be there.”
“What happened?”
“He said…he didn’t see any difference,” Hermione covered her mouth, and he pulled her hand down.
“Don’t hide,” The two of them walked through the corridor, the empty area, and the busy area, and people saw it, her unnaturally big teeth, like rabbits. Despite the shame, she kept her head down, allowing her hair to hide her face and buried it in his shoulder so only a few people could see her.
The two of them reached Snape’s Classroom, but the problem was still there that he was there.
Hermione questioningly looked at him when she saw him summon his wand and whisper a chant, and the two of them started becoming invisible. She held onto him even more tightly when a blasting sound appeared in the air.
Her nails nearly broke, trying to pierce his skin, but it did the work; the fireworks sound went farther, and Snape came rushing out of the class, furious, “Who!”
He looked in both directions, going in the one where the sound was coming, and when he went up the stairs that were a bit far, the invisibility spell got lifted.
Cloud pushed Hermione into the room, causing more than a few eyes to go to her.
“Ohhh! It isn’t the mud blood; what are you doing here?”
“Hermione!” Harry stood up while Ron pointed his wand at Malfoy.
“Shut up, Malfoy!”
Cloud stepped into the room, and the laughing or whispering crowd turned silent, and he patted Hermione’s head, “I don’t think he needs his hair. You can do that?”
