Chapter 37 - “Brother Luo, do you think she is, perhaps, mocking you?” (2)
Wang Wuya stood there for a long, long time and finally turned around slowly, spit out a mouthful of blood and the blood fell on the last letter that she had left.
A hidden line of text appeared in the blood.
[The arbor will flower next year.]
[Go with me to look at them, will you?]
Wang Wuya couldn’t resist anymore. He dropped down onto his knees and coughed out another mouthful of bright red blood.
Under the mortifying look of the members of the four clans, the love lock appeared shattered into pieces in front of their eyes.
Wang Wuya turned into a devil that very instant.

The screen was covered in all red at this point and the previous life portion ended here.
“So, in order to integrate the new character, we need to film an additional part of the previous life?” ask Luo Xiu coolly after Gu Nian had finished reciting the last scene.
“Yes,” said Gu Nian seriously. “The only reason Ding Qiao was able to reincarnate was because the sacred Buddhism’s youtanhua, you, happened upon her and blocked the strike for her.”
Luo Xiu nodded. “Had we not made that change, what would have happened to the youtanhua?”
Gu Nian felt a sense of guilt, “It’d be dead.”
Luo Xiu paused, then looked back at her.
As she said that, the little girl’s eyes were lowered as though she had done something wrong. “It was very innocent, indeed. But an item of the level of the sacred Buddhism’s item that could even blocked the world-destroying thunder from heaven was like a god-like object in the setting. It could only have one use at the beginning of the story. We can’t leave it there for the protagonist.”
Luo Xiu smiled nonchalantly. “It’s just a question. You don’t need to take it so seriously.”
“It was a question from you. I won’t try to muddle it.”
The little girl looked up and her dole-like eyes were sparkling. It seemed she only had that look on her when she was looking at him.
There was a stir under Luo Xiu’s eyes.
Shortly, he acted like he hadn’t noticed anything and looked back at the script that was opened up in front of them. “So the scene this afternoon was when youtanhua transformed?”
She felt that her eyes must be filled with the love of a mother -- an old mother would doubtless give her precious son the you-are-the-best reassurance.
Mother and son were joined at their hearts!
Her precious son must have fine it. That must be why he was too shy to make eye contact with her!
Sniff sniff sniff. Her precious son was such a docile and cute little angel…
As her mind was somewhere else, she hadn’t forgotten to remind him what was the most important. “The main thing you need to keep in mind is that during the transformation, youtanhua’s physical body was sliced open. As such, the demon race was able to plant the seed inside of him. The sacred Buddhism item demonized for love. That’s the crux of this character. As long as you can interpret the conflict and the two states before and after the transformation, you will be able to master this character.”
Luo Xiu responded to her nonchalantly. “I’ll do my best.”
Gu Nian, “I have faith in you! You can do this!”
Seeing the very determined you-will-be-the-superstar-of-tomorrow-in-the-film-industry look on Gu Nian, Luo Xiu couldn’t tell whether she was a great actor or that she truly had that much faith in him.
Luo Xiu didn’t spend too much time mulling over it. He stood up from in front of the long table inside of the temporary canteen – the location that Gu Nian picked to meet up with him for a “crash course” before his afternoon filming.
“Thank you, Miss Gu. I am going to take off now.”
“?”
Half of the motherly love that she had for him was extinguished by his usual, polite “Miss Gu”.
Gu Nian looked at him with her teary eyes and couldn't help but expressed her sadness with her trembling voice, “You can call me big sister too….”
Luo Xiu, who was just about to turn around, stopped in his way and turned to look at her.
The windows inside of the canteen were wide open. Golden sunlight poured in from behind him. His dark brown eyes, emphasized by the light, resembled high-quality amber, smooth and profound.
But there was also a sense of cold distance within the gentle look.
“Big sister?” The man repeated in a low voice.
“Aye… eh?”
Gu Nian almost responded reflexively when she heard his words but she finally noticed something odd in his voice. Looking up carefully, she was met with the man’s eyes that was almost smiling behind his thin lens.
