Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Sonic the Infinite?

Sonic is on his knees screaming his lungs out in pain that he's never felt, as Infinite appeared within his inner consciousness.

 

"It's you again! You're the one giving me this stupid migraine! I thought we'd already defeated you!" As Sonic can barely speak due to the intense pain.

 

"You did defeat me... well, to be more exact, you've defeated the physical version of me but I was able to digitalize my subconscious and convert it into data-like stone, in other words, the phantom ruby look-alike that you just came in contact with, and at that moment I was able to transfer myself into your subconscious which was extremely risky as if the transferring process was to be interrupted or fail then I would have died but fortunately it was a great success!" As Infinite explains his plans within Sonic's subconscious while he laughs.

 

"We've already kicked your ass! What the hell do you want with me!" As Sonic is frustrated while bearing the suffocating migraine.

 

"That's simple, I'm going to take over your body and use it for my revenge against the world! And the person who I'm gonna start my revenge with is the infamous Shadow the hedgehog!" As Infinite sounds purely menacing.

 

Sonic is still struggling to fight back against Infinite who is trying to take control of his body.

 

"It's futile Sonic, there's no point to fight back, the download is 85% which is almost complete. Very soon you will drown within my subconscious and lose feeling in your own body." As Infinite explains.

 

Suddenly, Sonic’s left eye began to turn red as the eye pupil of it is turning gold, and some sort of mask is developing and growing on Sonic's face which all resembles the same mask and eyes as Infinite.

"I really can't let this guy win! He's too destructive and the powers he possesses are unreal! It took the whole resistance to take him out and I don't think we can go for another round of that especially since everyone is trying to recover from the war." As Sonic is thinking faster and even deeper in desperation.

 

"Download is now on 99%, goodbye Sonic the hedgehog" as Infinite scornfully bids his farewell to Sonic.

 

"Tch! I've got no choice now, one second is way more than enough for me to run." As it seems that Sonic has come up with an idea.

 

"Your bluffing." As Infinite is not trying to buy it.

 

"Bluff? You'd doubt the fastest thing alive? Then answer this Infinite, what would happen to you if I take my own life" as Sonic resolve burns.
