3rd Felerach of Desariel 1237
Amy's POV
I am worried... I have never seen Mr. Welk so angry before. Even thinking about it now gives me shivers... it's like I am facing teacher Kasren back again... (Kasren is the old Sergeant they met at the old folk home at HeartForge) urgh, although not really good times, at least I learned something from that.
" Hey..." an elf with green hair comes and sits next to me.
" You are..." I asked, I only remembered her as one of Lucy's siblings but I didn't really ask her name.
" Oh, I am Cia Prill, well, I am no longer a Welk as I married someone now. But that's all about me. It isn't that long since you all came back right?" Cia introduces herself.
" Well... kinda. Mr. Welk kinda just called us here and here we are. He didn't even tell us why are we here until well, just now, I think." I said to Cia.
"That's pretty much like him. He did this to literally every single one of us you know." Cia said while chuckling.
" Even for me, he literally only told me that I am going to handle quests for the entire day after calling me to the hunters guild. Don't worry, I am sure nothing will happen." Cia continued, reassuring me...
" Thanks... still doesn't change that he seems very angry at both Lucy and me though..." I said.
" If I have to guess, I guess it is probably about the dragonkin companion of yours. I mean, I saw him talking about her before you all arrived here." Cia told me. Belgrynd? But why would he care about her... not to mention he shouldn't too. She is...
" Do you hate her?" Cia suddenly asks.
" Hate? No... it's just... I felt betrayed by her. But not to the level of hate. I don't really know how to describe..." I replied. While like others, I don't like Bel hiding things from us, she is not alone here so she should share with us, unless she doesn't treat us as friends anymore that she wants to hide these things...
" Then it is alright. Everyone has something they want to hide. Whether it is for personal or for the greater good. I am sure that you also hide something from her too right? It is alright though. After all, nobody is perfect," Cia said with a cheerful voice. I am not sure how to react to that though. Like... it makes sense but, I keep having this unusual urge that keeps telling me that this isn't good.
" I mean, if you yourself keep secrets from her, then it's normal that she would also keep some secrets right? Nobody can just expose everything about themselves, it's just illogical. It could be as small as one mess up she did before or even something big like the secrets of the entire world! The first one would be useless to tell you and the second one would be too important to be shared with others, right? Plus, judging by her personality from the short time she is here, I can see that if she ever hides anything, it is for the good of you guys." Cia continues, what she said makes sense, there is always something that is best left unsaid, or it will hurt more than keeping it in. Plus...
To keep hold of such a thing and not tell others... must be emotionally straining... I can't even think of how she is feeling now... the feeling that you can't even tell the ones closest to you and to bear the weight of it yourself... I am sure I would crumble to the pressure very fast if it were me to hold the secret...
" Anyways, enough of the boring things! I see you are Lucy are together huh~ what's your progress?" Cia asked, interrupting my thoughts fast. I think a bit of the question before I can feel my entire face heating up.
" Wha... I don't know what you mean..." denying her, but it seems this reaction of mine... is exactly what she wants...
" Ahaha, I know what you are thinking~ just don't worry about doing it~ The rooms in here are soundproof, well at least I know Lucy's room is. Sometimes people like those who are aggressive! Take it from someone who experienced it before!" Cia said before giving me a playful wink.
Thinking of what Cia means... doing it with Lucy... in her room... on the bed...
" Now stop it before you melt her brain." this voice.... it's Mr. Zeyle.
" You are no fun... it's not often that I met a sibling that is falling in love. They either left the family or just ignores me!" Cia said to Zeyle in a playful manner...
" Whatever, Amy right, follow me." Zeyle talked to me and walked to the kitchen... why are we going there? Lunchtime isn't anywhere near yet...
" Tell me, what did you all do wrong," Zeyle asks as he takes out a bottle containing a red liquid.
" Condemning Bel before confirming anything. She might have hide stuff from us, but it is possible that she is hiding it for our own sake." I said to him.
" At least you are better than Lucy. Though, let me ask you another question. Why the sudden change." Zeyle asks me again as he uses the red liquid to make a drink. Huh? Why the change...

" I... don't know... all I know is that after the fight back at here, everyone starts having doubts about Belgrynd. It is only afterward when we found out what she is doing while training us that everything explodes." I answered him.
" I see... here drink this and tell me how you feel," Zeyle said as he puts the red-colored drink in front of me. Which I just drank it entirely, I trust Zeyle won't do something like poisoning.
" Urgh... its a bit thick... but somehow I felt calmer after drinking it, and it is as if my head is a bit clearer after that," I replied to him, is this some sort of calming tea? But I don't see any tea leaves inside.
" Which means it is useful for curing you all. Also, it's dragon blood." Zeyle said it as he cleans up the cup.
Wait...
Dragon blood...
From what I know most dragons don't come out often, the only dragon that we know is the one living on top of Heartforge...
" Yep, you guessed it. It is the blood of your friend, Belgrynd." hearing Zeyle say that made my heart go cold... and also makes me want to gag...
I just drank a person's blood...
And it is my best friend's blood...
" She heard it from your Jasai that dragon blood can sometimes gives the consumer clarity in their minds, though it is not confirmed, she still risks it and drained her blood and told Jasai to deliver it to me. Now seeing you like this confirms it. Though I have to limit the info on this. Don't want everyone starts hunting dragons." Zeyle said it nonchalantly.
" You just feed me the blood of my friend! That is just... bad!" I glared at him.
" So what, it is a small price to pay. At least now your mind is clearer and your illogical reasons for hating your friend is gone now right?" he said nonchalantly. Still!
Wait... he's right...
Before I always feels like there is this little evil me nudging me and continuously telling me that Bel is bad, but now it's gone!
" I... did those to Bel... I hurt her..." I said as I regret all that I have done towards her... even though it is only a short argument... it felt like I lost something very precious to me...
" Yes, you did. And judging by all of your past interactions before this one. Very deeply. She was willing to die for all of you, yet this is what she receives. If it were me, the first I would do would be to argue with you all three days and three nights then left announcing this mess that you all created. But." Zeyle said with a very serious tone.
" She decided to not do anything, and left silently, avoiding creating any more rifts... even after we did all of this to her... she still want to protect us first..." I said quietly, already on the verge of crying...
" Think a little bit. Also, do not get close to Lucy for a while, the mind magic on her is more severe than I thought. She became crazed whenever she is mentioned so it's best to let her distance herself from anyone at the moment. " Zeyle said before he brought another jar of Bel's blood heading out.
" Right, can't we use Bel's blood? It worked on me so it surely can work on the others right?" I asked him, if we can use this to cure the magic then surely we could save them!
" Nope, I have been secretly adding it to all of your dishes for the past week, yet no effect happened, even the one I gave you just now took half of the jar. Miss Belgrynd only gave me 3 of these and with one gone, I wouldn't dare to risk the other two. Well one, I am sending one to Paelisher as it seems Lady Petrasha is already recovering." Zeyle explained to me. Which to be honest... baffles me... three jars of blood... each one the size of your average coffee mug, I know this is speaking from a human's perspective but... wouldn't she suffer from a lack of blood after this?
" Wait, does that mean Petry fainting is her recovering from the magic?" I asked.
" Yes, though a bit forcefully. But as expected for the next leader of the Kingdom of Argerios. She does have a strong mental fortitude." Zeyle said before finally leaving.
" SOOOOOOOOOOO, since all of that is gone~ why not you sleep in my old room? I am sure the old man only cleaned it and didn't change too much. Plus, we could have a little time for some girl's talk~" Cia said as she dragged me upstairs, well, I guess I can't refuse it now. Plus, some real girls' talk is good.
