Lucas was no fool to buy a rough map for the dungeon with 100 gold coins. There was a reason why he bought it and of course, the reason was the system.

It sensed something in the ugly beast skin and asked him to get it at any cost.

Until now, the system was giving him some good rewards, so he decided to buy it and thought to see what's so special about the ugly looking beast skin map.

Since all the items will be given to the bidder only after all the items were auctioned off, Lucas had to wait for some more time.

"The final item for tonight's auction is a young dwarf. Even though he is yet to learn the weapon refining, once he awakens the dwarf's special weapon refining talent, he would reach the pinnacle of the weapon refining."

Next, a two-meter cage was brought onto the stage as the beautiful host shouted about the next item of the auction.

In the cage, there was a one-meter dwarf who was looking at the onlookers with a fearful expression on his face.

'Huh?'

Everyone raised their brows as they looked at the dwarf in the cage and thought about the origins of the dwarf.

"I know what everyone was thinking about."

As though she knew what everyone was thinking, the beautiful female host continued, "Recently, an otherworldly portal opened in the only dwarf town of this firmament and before the adventurer guild's adventures could reach there, the entire town was destroyed and he was the only survivor."

The beautiful host sympathized with the dwarf; however, the actions of keeping the dwarf in the cage said otherwise.

'What?'

'Why no one said anything about it?

'Looks like the Weapons pavilion already knows about it. No wonder they were buying everything.'

'With the only dwarf town in our firmament gone, the weapon pavilion will monopolize the weapon refining business.'

All the onlookers sitting in the twelve rows were shocked with such big news and looked at the weapon pavilion because finally, they found out the reason for the extravagant spending of the weapons pavilion.

Generally, for the barren firmament, the weapons pavilion and the dwarf town were the only sources of getting weapons. Even though it was the only dwarf town in the Barren firmament, they gave a cutthroat competition to the weapons pavilion.

And it was common sense that the prices of all the weapons would be increasing in the coming days.

In the seventh chamber.

'I have to get him at any cost. As long as I have him, I can open the weapon refining shop to start my first business.'

Lucas was also looking at the grey dwarf and thought to get him at any cost.

Because he knew the weapon refining business is always a good business as long as you have the talented weaponsmith.

'As long as I wait for a few weeks, I can buy something from the 'Sovereign shop' to speed up his weapon refining talent.'

Since the dwarf was quite young and there was no one to teach him the weapon refining techniques, it might take a few years or even a few decades for his talent to awaken on his own. But, he had a system and a shop. He knew sooner or later, he would get some item that might help the dwarf to awaken the talent.

'Ding,

A new mission is issued for the host. Please check.

Just as Lucas was thinking, he got a system notification in his head and without wasting any time, he opened it.

'Ding,

Mission name:- Recruit the young dwarf.

Mission reward:- Random level of weapon talent for the host along with the young dwarf.

Information:- It was quite difficult to get a mature dwarf's loyalty. So, it is better to nurture a young dwarf and once they become attached, they would be loyal forever.

'Interesting. Looks like my thinking and the system's thinking is becoming synchronized.'

Lucas muttered to himself when he saw the new system mission.

"Brother, can we bring him to our house?"

Evan felt sad when he heard that the young dwarf lost all his family and felt both his and the young dwarf' situation was similar; however, he had a big brother and guardian to protect him.

So, he asked Lucas about bringing the young dwarf back to their house.

"Of course."

Why would Lucas reject his brother's request when he was already planning to buy the young dwarf.

"The starting bid for the young dwarf is 1000 gold coins."

On the stage, after the host finished explaining the origins of the young dwarf, she stated the starting bid.

"Greyeye family bids 1100 gold coins."

"Honorwolf family bid 1200 gold coins"

.

..

"Alchemy guild bids 10000 gold coins."

Soon, all the families and the guilds started bidding until the alchemy guild directly raised the price 8000 to 10000 gold coins.

"Haha"

Just as the alchemy guild finished their bid, the loud laughter of the weapons pavilion's head could be resounded in the entire auction house, making all the other bidders stop bidding for it and looked at the old man.

"Before anyone could bid for the young dwarf, let me tell you a few things."

The weapons pavilion head stopped his laughter as started speaking, "The young dwarf…."

"Weapons pavilion, if you are trying to spoil our auction, then your weapons pavilion will be banned from all the events conducted by my adventurer's guild."

Before the old man from the weapons pavilion could say anything, one of the managers of the adventurer's guild interrupted him and at the same time, he warned.

"Manager Carl, according to the auction rules, If I feel like the host is not explaining more information about the item and if by chance, I know about it, I can say it, right?"

Weapons pavilion head was happy until he laid his eyes on the young dwarf; however, when he heard he had yet to awaken his weapon refining talent, he felt quite good because he could not worry about his business.

However, he wanted to do something to make his rival, the alchemy guild's guild leader, suffer some losses before leaving the auction house.

"Go ahead, then."

Manager Carl frowned when he heard the old man's words; however, he nodded his head and allowed him to speak.

"Thank you, manager Carl."

Nodding his head, the weapons pavilion head continued, "I have a few questions for you before anyone who wants to bid for the young dwarf."

The entire auction house became silent as they waited for the old man to continue speaking.

"Do you know exactly how long it will take for a young dwarf to awaken his talent?"
