Colonel Hwartz, the leading commander of the advancing Trinith Forces along the Almeda Plate, is now preparing his forces to attack and invade the Town of Mesaria which is close to the Cretan Field where Major Staniek and his Hegarus Forces were based.

He planned to attack the town first because it is near the Cretan Field, which if he succeeds in invading and capturing the town, he would now have a big advantage against Major Staniek and the Hegarus Forces at the Cretan Field.

Colonel Hwartz, with his other subordinates inside their command room, tackles various strategies and tactics to take over the target town at their map table.

[ Colonel Hwartz ] : " Hmm. I want the 65th Cavalry to approach the southwest and south of the town. The 71st Cavalry will be at the northeastern, directly heading from its entrance. "

Most of the knight soldiers are little to no surprised at all. They expected this to happen since the Town of Mesaria is just a few miles away from the City of Brisgade..

But most of the recruits are shocked and somewhat terrified. This is probably their first participation in the ongoing war between nations.

[ Major Staniek ] : " SO, YOU ALL KNOW WHAT TO DO AND REMEMBER WHAT YOU HAVE ALL TRAINED FOR! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"

Knight Soldiers " *salutes* YES SIR! "

..he just mowed down and defeated ALL of Major Staniek's officers on sparring and training sessions, including his previous sparring partner on the assessment trial - Sergeant Jessup.

This made the rest of the knight soldiers respect the baron even more now and didn't continue badmouthing him.

A Hegarus Knight peeks through his scope and sees Colonel Hwartz and the Trinith Forces from afar the Cretan Field.

As the knight screamed to the Hegarus Knights formations behind him.

Screams of pain resonate with the whole Trinith Forces.

Meanwhile, Colonel Hwartz is not amused about what was happening on the battlefield. He didn't expect the Hegarus Forces to be well trained and organized in just one week or so, especially as they came from their previous war on the Battle of Cretan.

[ Colonel Hwartz ] : " Hehe. It seems that I deeply underestimated them. Oh well. Time for action I guess! Haha! "

The colonel then prepared his best armor and weapon.

[ Colonel Hwartz ] : " IF BY SOME ACCIDENT, THAT I DIE ON THE BATTLE, FALL BACK TO THE BRISGADE TO REORGANIZE AND PREPARE FOR ANOTHER BATTLE! WE WON'T LET THEM REST! "

He holsters his monocular and unsheathes his sword. The baron then looks at the major because of this.

Seeing that this might be his last moment, he then took one last glance at his first love - Laura.

But, for some reason, as he thinks about her, the Laura in his mind says something to him.

Phillips is confused.

Phillips would then cry tears while reminiscing the memories.

With Laura now finally faded in the scenery, Phillips cried. He cried until he then again sees another of his memories.

It's the memory of the day that Laura committed suicide and he watches it until the last part...

And by the last part of the certain memory, he finally realized her. He realized what Laura actually meant in the first place.

The feeling of her, despite her suffering and misfortunes, she at least had the feeling of being loved. Resides in just two words of her just before she fell down the cliff to her death.

This made Phillips cry even harder.

And just as Colonel Hwartz is ready to stab the injured sergeant, the colonel felt something on his chest.

The colonel looks at his chest as he is stabbed on his intestines. He then pukes blood through his mouth, nose, and ears, as pain overwhelms his entire body.

He looked further to the sword that stabbed him.

There, he saw that it was Sergeant Phillips’s sword that struck him, while the sergeant was still laying on the ground.

[ Colonel Hwartz ] : " ...Yo-----you................ "

After a couple of seconds, the colonel finally lay down on the ground and died.

Many of the Trinith Forces saw their colonel die in the arms of the injured sergeant..

Because of this, their morale dropped and caused them to retreat hastily while also countless Hegarus Knights immediately backed up the injured Sergeant Phillips.

Major Staniek then would also come to Sergeant Phillips to his aid.

He gets his men to help him bring the injured sergeant to the medical station. Fortunately, just after a couple of hours, the sergeant would regain full recovery and would continue on with his knight duties with Major Staniek.

And by just a couple of years of conflicts between nations and kingdom, the four warring nations - :

the Trinith Dynasty

- the Zeton State

- the Rigalia Empire

…, would come to a peaceful agreement due to the overwhelming superiority of the Hegarus Kingdom and the nations decided to become one of their allies which unites the whole nation and would later be called the " Almeda Kingdom "
