With the city now more stable than it ever was before, Lieutenant General Staniek was not focusing on strengthening his military along with his officials like Captain Phillips. Logistics, military hardware, arsenal, and structures are now being enhanced and improved because of their stable economy.

Even still, there are still people who are against the new government. There are disguised assassins that were former soldiers under Lord Mayor Karen and her officials. Some were still lurking around the city, planning to boycott and ruin the current government under Lieutenant General Staniek.

For instance, in a certain abandoned cottage, a bunch of former soldiers is having a meeting and discussing their next plan to ambush city officials while on their way to the castle. They laid out their plans on a table and grouped up inside a room, while some were outside of the cottage for security.

Assassin 3 : “ So, we’re going for that? “

Assassin 4 : “ It’s likely. But we have no other choices. We are still lacking equipment and hardware to do a big strike at them. “

Assassin 1 : “ Alright. Let’s just go with the most efficient way available. Understood? “

Outside meanwhile, three assassins are guarding the entrance of the cottage. They have two swords holstered in their coats and a few daggers on their belts. One of them has a flintlock hiding also on his belt, with a few ball rounds and black powder in his pocket.

Things are normal like any other day. But then, a group of men in medieval civilian clothing starts to approach them from afar.

They look at them with uncertainty and grab their sword in a holster just in case as they continue to observe them.

Seconds later, the group consisting of four men is in front of the cottage confronting the three guards. The guards questioned the group with hostility and showed his sword to them.

Guard 2 : “ Who are you, people? What business do you have here? “

Other guards also show and point their swords at the four civilians.

Then one of the civilians raises his hands.

[ Civilian 1 ] : “ WAIT WAIT! WE’RE HERE FOR A REASON! “

Then he starts to grab something underneath his coat and this makes the three guards feel uneasy.

Guard 3 : “ STOP! WHAT ARE YOU REACHING? “

Until the civilian finally shows a paper to them.

[ Civilian 1 ] : “ HERE! CAN YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PAPER? IT HAS A DISTINGUISHED INSIGNIA OF LORD MAYOR KAREN HERE! “

Having heard their former superior, they were all shocked and looked at the said paper. The first guard took the paper and showed it to the rest.

Guard 1 : “ THIS IS - ?! IT IS! IT'S OUR LORD MAYOR KAREN!“

Guard 2 : “ But, where did you find thi - “

But little did they know, while the three guards were looking at the paper, the four civilians were now pointing black armaments on their hands and their eyes were now glowing green.

**Flux Raider MP17 Suppressed**

[ Civilian 1 ] : “ *whispers* Drop ’em. “

As the first civilian whispered to his group, they all opened fire to the three guards.

*PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!*

All three guards take numerous bullet wounds on their chest and faces. They fall to the ground with blood gushing out of their body lifelessly.

Immediately after taking out the three guards, the four “civilians” dead-check the three corpses on their heads.

*PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!*

After that, they prepare for a breach inside the old cottage. They form a four-man stack and have a small metallic tube inside.

Meanwhile, the assassins inside the cottage heard the commotion and the weird gunshots outside. Because of this, they hastily prepared for an engagement. They panicked and hurriedly found some cover.

But then, as one of the “civilians” unleashes the pin and tosses the small metallic tube through the entrance of the cottage, nine loud bangs explode inside the cottage that makes the assassins inside lose their hearing and disorganize. They all screamed and shouted as they panicked around the building blindly.

Assassin 5 : “ ARRRGH! “

Assassin 8 : “ WHAA! WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! “

Quickly, the four “civilians” finally made their way inside with their armaments pointing towards, scanning for targets. Along the way, they quickly fire and shoot the assassins while they are still in disarray.

[ Civilian 3 ] : “ *whispers* On the left, on the left! “

*PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!*

[ Civilian 4 ] : “ *whispers* Contact 3 to 4 o’clock! Take them down! “

*PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!*

One by one the assassins fell on the ground lifelessly as they were being killed and mowed down by the group of four “civilians”.

Continuing on by the entrance of a room, Civilian 2 prepares to move inside while passing through some corpses. After knowing that he is going to enter alone, he asks for a wingman.

[ Civilian 2 ] : “ *whispers* Give me one! Give me one! “

Civilian 1 then goes and taps behind Civilian 2’s shoulder.

[ Civilian 1 ] : “ *whispers* With you! “

Confirming that he has a wingman now, Civilian 2 engages inside the room with Civilian 1. Inside the room, there are still two assassins that were in extreme confusion and lying in wait for the attackers.

Assassin 3 : “ ARRGGH! TAKE THI- “

*PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!*

Assassin 7 : “ FUCK YOUUU- “

*PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!-PHANG!*

But the “civilians” were quick and immediately killed the two assassins. The soft gunshots from the group of four “civilians” resonate inside the cottage as they dead-check on each of the dead assassins to ensure that no one was alive and continue to clear out the cottage room by room.

Half an hour has passed, and the cottage is finally clear. They now start to gather intel, take pictures of the corpses and the cottage, etc.

[ SALTROOM ] [ Task Force [REDACTED] Lead ] [ FOXTROT 12 ] : “ *on radio* FOXTROT 12 to SALTROOM. Over. “

*pssssh*

[ SALTROOM ] [ FOXTROT 17 ] : “ *radio* SALTROOM. Go ahead Task Force. “

After finishing his government duties as the lord mayor, Lieutenant General Staniek is now finally taking a break inside his office. He takes a seat on his office chair and drinks some tea on the table.

[ Lt. Gen. Staniek ] : “ Phew. Now that will take care of our bank. Now where was I? “

He then grabs a radio hidden underneath his coat. He dials a certain frequency and listens to it.

[ ??? ] : “ *radio* BENCHMARK?….”

[ Lt. Gen. Staniek ] : “ *on radio* WATERLOO. “

[ SALTROOM ] [ FOXTROT 17 ] : “ *radio* Roger on WATERLOO, general. Site 04 has been eliminated. There are still seven sites remaining to be purged. “

After the brief conversation on the radio, Lieutenant General Staniek puts the radio back underneath his coat. He then stands up to go outside of the office to have dinner with the rest of the officers down below.

After stalking and following the Riman soldiers back onto their camp, one of the overwatch teams of the G.N.D.’s ROSTWELLER TIER 3 SFODs - GOLFS Operators, and one of the FISHERCOVE’s overwatch teams - HOTELS 02’s Team, finally caught up with the soldiers and observed their bases from afar.

They positioned themselves behind bushes and trees overwatching the bases with the help of their NODs and binoculars.

[ FISHERCOVE ] [ Overwatch Team 2 Lead ] [ HOTEL 02 ] : " *whispers on comms* So, there are more sites on the bay, huh. "

HOTEL 02 said while looking through his binoculars.

[ ROSTWELLER ] [ Overwatch Team 3 Lead ] [ GOLF 31 ] : " *whispers on comms* Yeah. Although these are a little smaller than the first site from the reports. These might be a patrol camp or some sort of their FOB. "

While they are observing the camps, they see that most of the soldiers at the camps are running around and preparing hastily. They are fortifying their defenses and barricades with wood poles, sandbags, and equipping themselves with shields, muskets, and swords. Some get their arrows and put some spears at the entrances for further security measures.

[ FISHERCOVE ] [ Overwatch Team 2 Lead ] [ HOTEL 02 ] : " *whispers on comms* Heh. So we really did stir up the hornet’s nest. "

[ ROSTWELLER ] [ Overwatch Team 3 Lead ] [ GOLF 31 ] : " *whispers on comms* Not just one. Maybe two hornet’s nests. "

After they took some pictures and sketches of the said enemy base sites, they reported them to FISHERCOVE and ROSTWELLER.

Rotter 3-1 crosses his arms and chuckles.

[ FISHERCOVE ] [ Overall Commander ] [ Rotter 3-1 , 4th Bn. ] : “ Haha. There’s no “bada-bing” without “bada-boom”. “
