“Come, come. While they are still hot. I had to stand in line for these soup dumplings. I remembered that they have the best soup dumplings. They are amazing to have with the duck blood vermicelli soup!
“When we are done eating, I have brought home Napolean cakes from the Luo’s. We can each have one of those as well.”
Huo ChuChu had already warned her before they returned.
Her Big Brother never ate food that he didn’t know where they came from, ever since he was a child.
He has very high standards in life.
But Gu Shishi didn’t listen to her.
And Siyi really wanted to cut her off.
He wanted to tell her that he had already brought in a Michelin 3-star chef earlier today.
And lunch has been prepared.
But…
“Okay.”
One simple word from Huo Sishen and that was enough to make the other two stop what they were going to say immediately.
He sat down and showed his approval with his action.
He nicely accepted the plate and chopsticks from Gu Shishi.
His cold look drifted to Huo ChuChu the next second.
Gu Shishi quickly said, “This will be enough for the three of us. Take this one with you, Siyi.”
Having said that, she waved at Huo ChuChu.
Huo ChuChu was stunned.
Whatever happened to her big brother’s germaphobia?
What about his requirements for food?
He was going to eat with them? And food from a small shop at that?
She was completed dumbfounded!
Luckily Huo Sishen’s reaction after that gave her a sigh of relief.
“This food is worth you standing in line for?”
Huo Sishen took a bite and raised his brows.
The soup dumpling has thin skin and was pretty juicy. The meat, though, was of low quality.
It was quite obvious.
Nothing that could remotely measure up to what they normally have at home…
He looked at the girl who was shoving soup dumplings into her mouth one after another with doubts in his eyes.
She thought this was delicious?
And that it was the best?
She probably had no idea what high-end cuisines were even like.
“I’ve never been to Nanxiang. I heard they have the best soup dumplings there.”
Gu Shishi nodded after she had swallowed the food in her mouth.
Huo Sishen frowned.
That was what she cared about?
He turned and looked at the takeout box next to him. The Napolean inside of it were starting to fall apart.

That was worth her bringing back all the way?
Huo Sishen suddenly came to a very serious realization.
The two girls at the table.
One was his own sister and the other one was Gu Shishi.
The first one was hesitating with her chopsticks in the air and questioning the meaning of life as she stared at the soup dumplings from some unknown source, not wanting to try any of them.
The other one was thoroughly enjoying herself and recommending them to him at the same time…
The differences between the two of them was major.
She was like a person who thought they had seen the palace in the moon before she has even climbed up a high mountain.
Gu Shishi abjectly lacked any knowledge of their circle.
She wasn’t raised coddled.
She lacked higher knowledge, vision, and sense of appreciation.
All in all, she was too… naïve.
Huo Sishen waved at Siyi.
He pointed at the takeout box sitting on top of the table and said, “Go look into this.”
Gu Shishi was a little stunned; as was Siyi.

Half an hour later, Siyi returned.
“Boss, here’s the report on QiQi Soup Dumpling.
“The hygiene in the kitchen was very bad. I have pictures of cockroaches, mice, and flies. Would you like to see them?”
Huo Sishen pointed at the dumbfounded Gu Shishi.
“Show them to her.”
Gu Shishi, “…..! Can I not look at them?”
Huo Sishen narrowed his cold eyes.
After one second, then two seconds, Gu Shishi finally lowered her head, “It wasn’t like I’ve gotten sick from it before…”
Huo Sishen reached out and put a soup dumpling into his mouth.
He chewed a few times and frowned.
“Siyi, go make a reservation,” said Huo Sishen as he put down the chopsticks.
Her parents never taught her and she had no idea what was good cuisine that was worth standing in line for.
It seemed he’d have to be the one who take on that responsibility!
Huo Sishen, frowning, look over at Huo ChuChu again. When he saw her faux hawk and lip ring, his eyes twitched and he was angered.
But he suppressed his anger.
“Go home after you are done eating!
“Next time… anyone who dare let you in and get the heck out with you.”
He voice was chilling.
Huo ChuChu’s eyes reddened.
And Gu Shishi shuddered.
