Chapter 37: Retrospective

Yes, this is the end of the story- I’m truly sorry.

 

I started writing this mostly as a way to waste time when I was bored. For a while it stayed that way, but paranoia over the chapter buffer pushed me to write almost every day- and because of that I ran out of motivation part way through. When I got back into it, I still enjoyed writing the story, but a lack of real preparation led to it becoming something I wouldn’t really enjoy reading. That led to me not wanting to edit it or really look at the chapters after they were written- which made me not want to read it even more.

 

Additionally while writing the story, the lack of clear worldbuilding forced me to have to make stuff up on the fly, and usually wasn’t something I really put thought into. I had a lot of ideas that were mentioned in the story and developed in my head- but with the pacing, they wouldn’t come back for too long. Any loose ends caused by the abrupt end were likely something I had plans for, but with how my mind works for storytelling those plans won't come to fruition.

 

The cause of this is I randomly had another story come to mind and my muse latched onto that. I can’t really develop two stories at once, so I was left with trying to create some sort of end for this one while having a ton of ideas for a completely different one. As you can probably guess, that story is my next project- and will likely have the first chapter published on the same day this is.

 

I apologize that this had to end prematurely, but I hope my next project is as- or more- enjoyable. Thank you for your support so far. I hate doing this as much as you probably hate me doing it.
