Phoenix Goddess meditated on fiery essences. Her delicate eyebrows resembled willow leaves above her long, slender eyelashes. Her long hair looked like strands of flames, rising and swaying incessantly.
The number of bones in her body didn’t increase, still just 589 bones. She focused on harnessing her body’s potential in the last fifteen days. The flesh resembled jade with a special glow flowing within.
She suddenly heard the roar of a beast and felt a power crashing down. She opened her clear eyes - the black and white looked like the sun and moon.
“Bam!” A palm struck her left shoulder.
“Wake up, Feiyun!” She let out a special phoenix screech but this had no effect.
“Taken over by the beast nature.” She could see his strange state and flew upward with her wings.
“Haha! I am me, there is no distinction between the natures, and nothing can control me. Humans have the beast nature inside them and vice versa.” Feiyun hovered about the world river and laughed: “Phoenix Goddess, you best submit and become my slave or I will let you taste a fate worse than death.”
“You have miscalculated, Feiyun, you thought you could control the beasts with your dao law but you forgot about your dragon blood and evil affinity. Now, you have lost your humanity, this is the result of chasing power and forgetting the dao heart.” She said.
“You don’t need to worry about my dao heart, I am as lucid as possible. All of these natures are power sources, so why should I suppress them? Doing so will prevent me from becoming a saint so I will let them free. Become my slave and your future potential is boundless.” Feiyun’s eyes were filled with demonic affinity.
“If I refuse?” She asked.
“Then I will tie you to the ship and you’ll be a bitch for me to vent my desire. Do you want to be a human or a bitch?” He stared at her and said ruthlessly.
“Repeat this after defeating me.” She summoned a fiery sword.
“Have it your way.” Feiyun placed his palms together by his dantian and summoned a world of beasts.
“Boom!” Just one palm strike destroyed her fiery sword and broke her wings.
“Phoenix Incineration!” Her hand turned into a sharp claw to strike his head.
He shifted slightly and grabbed her wrist, pulling back. She couldn’t resist the immense power and shouted: “Cosmic Shift!”
He felt a finger aiming for his forehead and immediately released her wrist, retreating several hundred meters backward with one step.
“What is the point of this, Feiyun? I will only lose a beautiful bag of skin while you will lose everything.” She had no confidence after seeing his surge in power.
“You are mistaken, I know exactly what the dao is, to do as one pleases. Sages use morality to restrain desires, Buddhas advocate suppressing the same thing. I, will care for neither, and my title shall be Desire. Those who want to be born, I shall let them. Feast, so be it. Kill? Have it their way. Those who wish to exercise freedom shall be my worshippers...”
His voice echoed across the sky, causing changes to the weather. A mysterious power flowed toward him, boosting his strength by a hundred times...
The goddess became alarmed after seeing his ambitious intent. If he could channel this particular dao, he could turn into a saint of desires and lust and wield their power.
She transformed into a phoenix, going all out to disrupt his dao enlightenment.

“Raa! You destroyed my perfect opportunity, I will have your body and mind!” Feiyun was furious and transformed into a dragon.
He had blood scales, the head of a tiger, the body of a snake, deer antlers, eagle claws, and phoenix feathers. This was the appearance of Ancestral Dragon Monarch with a few exceptions - phoenix wings and a phoenix halo above the head on top of the fire affinity.
Ancestral Dragon Monarch was the supreme of the dragon race. Only one could appear every kalpa. When one grew old, another would eventually be born.
If dragons were to see his appearance, they would consider him an abomination and try to kill him.
“Whoosh!” The dragon and phoenix fought above the mountain range before moving toward the world river, destroying everything in their wake.

The turtle stood near the shore, having a great time gathering fire essences. He filled up 785 spirit stones and placed them in his shell before asking: “Laoshi, how many do you have so far?”
The fruit felt the ground shaking while gathering and asked: “Grandpa, do you hear a dragon cry?”
“No, I’m hearing a phoenix.” The turtle rushed toward the top of the mountain and gazed at the sky, seeing clouds being incinerated.
A phoenix was pushed out of the clouds with a gaping wound in the chest. A ferocious dragon could be seen in the clouds. Just its head alone nearly took up the sky vault.
“Bam!” It struck the phoenix, sending it to the ground and forcing it to turn back into a beautiful woman.
Feiyun landed with bloodshot eyes, becoming more out of control: “I told you, you are no match for me. Kneel.”
“Feng Feiyun, you are not stronger than me, you are just burning your life and potential, wake up! There is no absolute freedom in this world, people can’t do as they please. Absolute freedom will only herald destruction, control your heart and your dao, don’t be blinded by your desires! Wake up!”
Feiyun didn’t listen and grabbed her hand, dragging her over to a large boulder.
“Don’t make me kill you with the phoenix queen’s power.” She hesitated.
“Let her come, I will conquer her as well!” Feiyun snorted.
She formed a mudra and a holy light emerged as she chanted: “Majestic phoenix saint, please bless me with your power.”
Light gathered between her palms and she became increasingly stronger. The red mark on her forehead became resplendent as if was sealing a saint.
She floated upward and an image of Soaring Phoenix Queen manifested into reality.
“Feng Feiyun, turn back and destroy the devil in your heart. Otherwise, I will subject you to eternal damnation.” The goddess’ voice became both hers and the phoenix queen’s, enough to make everyone feel an instinctive fear and reverence.
“Whoosh!” A sword flash directly attacked the light from her forehead.
This was a broken demonic sword with an immemorial aura, capable of suppressing the image of the phoenix queen.
