The cultivators were still enamored by Ji Wenlong’s strike, but a massive shockwave was kicked up when the moon crashed into the ground below.
Well, it came as a surprise when they didn’t feel the shockwave blasting against them.
None of them noticed that the protection formation had already recovered after Ji Wenlong sliced the moon in half, and it counteracted the subsequent energy wave.
“Lang Xiaoyun, Ran Biluo, how dare you run all the way here to cause trouble?!” Ji Wenlong roared as he left the range of the protection formation alone.
Waving the Lithe Blade in his hand, he shattered whatever remained of the moon and yet another shockwave battered against the protection formation.
The bridges connecting the peaks trembled once again as the six surrounding peaks bore the brunt of the blow.
A soft ringing came from each of the six peaks and a myriad of light emerged. The heaven and earth qi that was rampaging about calmed down and became a lot denser than before.
Shang Xia felt a wave of qi blasting against his body.
“Hehe, Ji Wenlong, you’re not our opponent!” The voice entered the ears of everyone in the Tongyou Peak.
“You can try.” Ji Wenlong remained motionless as he stood facing the enemy.
Two figures appeared eventually and it was a man and a woman. The man looked pretty skinny and he was clad in gray. There was a treacherous look in his eyes and his movements resembled a wolf. He was one of the four leaders of the Four Spiritual Peak, Lang Xiaoyun!
The woman was a great beauty who emitted a mature air. Every move she made caused one’s heart to flutter. She was Ran Biluo, another one of the four leaders.
The two of them stepped in the air as they approached Ji Wenlong slowly. They stopped hundreds of feet away.
“Ji Wenlong, we’ve been fighting for close to 20 years now and you’re still as stubborn as before. If it was Kou Chongxue who said what you just said, we might be a little afraid. Too bad he’s trying to recover from his serious injury now. Today, we’ll crush your Tongyou Peak whether you like it or not!”
Ran Biluo sneered and her voice entered the heads of everyone present.
When they heard what she said, their expressions changed.
If it wasn’t because the battle was upon them, Shang Xia was sure that the news would cause more than half of the Tongyou Peak to fall into chaos.
As for the other half, they would be the ones who had no idea who Kou Chongxue was.
Even so, Shang Xia could feel the hearts of various cultivators wavering.
That wasn’t right… The will of cultivators was as strong as steel! How could they be swayed by a few words? There had to be something off about the woman’s speech.
Shang Xia quickly made a deduction and thought about the soundwave that caused many of them to lose control of their inner qi earlier. It had to be related to the woman.
A wave of worry swept through his heart. What in the world was that kind of power? Was it her martial intent? Or something else?
When Shang Xia was still trying to make sense of things, a clear explosion rang in the ears of those on the Tongyou Peak.

It brought them back to reality, and a rough voice took over. “Ran Biluo, our Tongyou Peak isn’t a place you can run your mouth off as you please.”
A long whip extended out from Ji Wenlong’s back and it went straight for Ran Biluo’s face.
Ran Biluo revealed a frosty expression and her wrist whipped about. A shortsword that contained seven specialized holes appeared and it blocked the whip.
“Pa!”
Another crisp explosion could be heard as the whip broke apart into seven pieces before returning to its user.
“It’s you!”
Ran Biluo might have nullified the attack easily, but her expression sank instantly. “Who would have thought that you would enter the battlefield between two worlds…”
A figure appeared above the Tongyou Peak and approached Ji Wenlong.

“Instructor of the Upper Division of the Tongyou Institution, Liu Qinglan! Looks like you already know who she is.”
The newcomer was a middle-aged female and her appearance was comparable, if not better than Ran Biluo.
Unlike Ran Biluo who had a charming air around her, Liu Qinglan emitted a dignified and noble aura.
“Liu Qinglan? I’ve heard of you.” Lang Xiaoyun snorted in contempt.
He was greeted with a soft chuckle from Liu Qinglan. “I’m really honored that you heard of me. I hope we can exchange pointers in the future. I’ll personally carve my name into your bones so that you won’t forget me.”
“Wow, you’re really smart. Are you scared that you can’t take me on right now?” Lang Xiaoyun sneered.
Facing the useless exchange, Ji Wenlong lost his patience and growled, “Why are we wasting time talking to each other? If you want to fight, come at me! If you’re planning to run your mouth off, you can scram!”
The words barely left his lips when his blade chopped at Lang Xiaoyun.
“Old wolf, let your granddaddy here see if you improved since we last fought!” Ji Wenlong yelled as four rays of light emerged from his blade.
“Perfect timing!” Lang Xiaoyun yelled as a silver ring behind his back appeared to defend himself.
Looking at the silver ring, one would think of the moon that appeared earlier.
His weapon was called the Startling Moon Loop and it was a high-grade weapon.
As it soared into the air, it emitted three different colors. Silver, blue, and gray lights danced around it and it didn’t lose out to Ji Wenlong’s Lithe Blade.
The blade and loop danced about in mid air and shockwaves swept across the battlefield.
Even though they were hundreds of feet away from the Tongyou Peak, the shockwaves caused the protection formation to cave in once more.
Fortunately for Ji Wenlong, he started to suppress Lang Xiaoyun with his relentless attacks and he started to push him away from the Tongyou Peak.
When the two men started their brawl, Ran Biluo and Liu Qinglan glared at each other.
“Hehe, little sister of the Liu Clan, show me what you got!” Ran Biluo laughed as her Seven Conch Sword emitted a strange ringing sound. The weapon she wielded was also a high-grade weapon, and from the looks of it, she wanted to carve out a flower in Liu Qinglan’s face.
“Hehe, old witch, even if you’re not a hundred years old, you should be close to it. Do you really think you qualify to be my older sister? Why don’t I call you grandma instead?” Liu Qinglan didn’t lose in their battle of words. Even though her Seven Tendon Whip was only a mid-grade weapon, it would accurately slash at Ran Biluo’s neck every time she swung it.
The attacks of the two women were sinister and ruthless and they exchanged many blows in an instant.
However, Ran Biluo’s cultivation was slightly higher than Liu Qinglan and it was a matter of time before Liu Qinglan would fall to a disadvantage.
As such, Liu Qinglan didn’t follow in Ji Wenlong’s footsteps to drag the battle away from the Tongyou Peak. She wanted to tap on the protection formation when she was no longer able to hold on.
Naturally, Ran Biluo was no fool. She saw through Liu Qinglan’s intentions instantly.
Even so, she didn’t try to drag Liu Qinglan away. She decided to go all in and play at whatever game her opponent was laying down and they started to make laps around the protection formation. She would shoot out a ray of sword qi from time to time to attack the barrier.
Every time she swung her sword, a weird sound wave would be released.
It could affect her opponent’s frame of mind and cause them to lose control of their inner qi for a split second. That caused a huge portion of disciples on the Tongyou Peak a lot of trouble whenever she attacked the barrier.
That was the result even after Liu Qinglan took the brunt of the blow. If she didn't, the weaker cultivators on the Tongyou Peak would suffer great casualties.
“Upper Division Instructor Liu Qinglan… Looks like she managed to enter the Martial Extermination Realm…” Shang Xia thought to himself as he observed the great battle taking place outside the barrier.
From the looks of it, it wasn’t enough! The Four Spiritual Peak definitely had another expert in hiding. When they revealed themselves, who would the Tongyou Peak send out?
Ji Wenlong’s estimate that the Rose Party wouldn’t attack the city might be taken seriously by the institution and they sent numerous experts over to the Tongyou Peak. However, they couldn’t possibly leave the city defenseless!
Under the premise that Kou Chongxue was seriously injured, they needed another Martial Extermination Realm expert to hold the fort down at the Tongyou Institution!
As such, the weakness of the institution was laid bare before everyone’s eyes. Compared to the Tongyou Institution, the Four Spiritual Peak had way more high level experts!
