SSS-Grade Cafe in Front of The Dungeon — Chapter 10

Translated by cabinfourtranslations.

“Are you alright?”

It was a tall man who entered the entrance. His long, disheveled hair covered his forehead. Due to the fact that he also wore glasses, his face was not clearly visible. However, the sign in his chest clearly caught my eye, it’s a sign that indicated he’s a Hunter.

It’s a Hunter.

I can live now.

With a sense of relief, the image of James who was on the verge of losing his consciousness caught my eye.

“The injured … there is an injured person here!”

“Let’s move him out. There will be other people coming soon.”

Perhaps it was because he was a strong hunter, he carried the large James on his back and took him outside.

There was a chaotic mess outside. Ambulances arrived in a row, news reporters came with their cameras, and there are also several officials who clean up the surroundings.

According to what the officials who were cleaning up the remains of monsters around me said, the situation was like this:

When a rift is not processed in time, the monster pops out of the rift is called a “Dungeon Break”. Monsters that endlessly pour out and attack humans are simply a disaster. The dungeon break that occurred 15 years ago destroyed a city.

But what if the dungeon break didn’t happen in a single rift, but in the great dungeon Abyss?

If monsters pour out of an infinite dungeon that has not yet been completely attacked….

It’s a contingency emergency, of course.

A few days ago, the hunters who were looking around this area because of an anonymous report were nervous.

‘That must be the report I made…’

It is said that the monsters that suddenly poured out became ashes and disappeared. It’s the same as when the cave black bear died.

No way, was it done by the strange voice I heard earlier?

I don’t know for sure yet, but it’s a fortunate thing among the misfortunes.

Even in the midst of embarrassment, the hunters were busy moving to rectify the situation.

“There’s an injured person!”

“Hurry up and lay him down here!”

The surroundings quickly became busy as the Hunters, who appeared all of a sudden, examined James’ wounds and checked the broken store.

It was then that I noticed something. I got surprised when I recognized the jumpers the Hunters wore. There was a large blue thread written ‘Cheongna’ on it.

Why is Cheongna Guild here?

Cheongna Guild was one of the top three guilds in Korea, the so-called Big Three Guilds.

However, unlike the corporate guild “CNL Corporation” and the family guild “Royal Guild” that are also the part of the Big Three, the details of this guild were veiled.

First, there was not much external activity. They rarely appeared on TV shows, and their activities were all about silently raiding the dungeons.

A small guild with little external activity. It is the opposite of CNL, the guild that gained popularity with various businesses.

However, no one doubts that Cheongna Guild is one of the Big Three.

This is because it shows the best attack efficiency with the minimum number of people.

So far, there are zero deaths have been reported during their attacks.

The guild members’ grades are on average B+ or higher. No. 1 in rift treatment efficiency. The 1st place in the attack progress of the great dungeon Abyss.

Among them, the seven hunters who belong to the main party called “Blue Vine” were especially famous. This is because each member faithfully performed their role.

Any hunter who has ever thought of things like ‘I wish the Tanker had done their job properly‘, ‘Did you doze of when you’re supposed to do the healing?’, ‘Look at the damage, does the Dealer fall asleep?’ would know about this; how precious are party members who can do their job well, and how difficult it is to meet them.

In short, a place where strong people gather and work hard together. Even among hunters, it is almost like a fantasy Munchkin guild.

And the person who leads Cheongna Guild is….

The number one Hunter in Korea, the guild leader is Muwon.

Currently, the person who took the first place of the ranking is unknown in name, age, and address. So, instead of his name, he was called Muwon, the title registered on the Hunter’s Register.

Not to mention high school graduation photos, something like SNS post that was written before becoming a hunter stated ‘I have to be the best.’, ‘Kekekeke … the darkness encroaches on my body.‘ is rare in an era when all such writings are easily stolen.

Not that there were no attempts to uncover his identity, but they all ended in failure.

The hunter paparazzi newspaper ‘Hunter Scope‘, which was particularly obsessed, even posted an apology on the main page of the site, stating that it would never cover the paparazzi of ‘Muwon‘ again.

Various rumors were circulating, things like that he actually had a dirty personality, the real ‘Muwon’ was dead and that the person who replaces him now is a fake, he is a virtual hunter, or that he is actually the final weapon made by a secret organization … there’s a lot of nonsense like that but none of them has credibility.

Maintaining this level of mysticism raises the question of whether he is really strong.

However, after Muwon cleared the A-grade dungeon alone, the noisy sound completely disappeared. It was a dungeon that the first-team party of CNL gave up on. Without Muwon, Korea would have suffered great damage.

And the video showing ‘Muwon’s skill use’ had hundreds of millions of views despite the poor quality….

In short, he is an incredibly strong hunter, the best of the best in Korea.

However, for some reason, he rarely shows up, the No. 1 ranker stayed in the shadows.

At least, the deputy guild leader of Cheongna Guild showed his face on the media.

I’m sure the name is … what was his name? I’ve heard of it before. My heart felt sorry for the name that I couldn’t think of.

“You’re Miss Kwon Rieul, right?”

“Yes?”

When I turned my head, there was a good-looking man in front of me.

“My name is Han Yisung. I am the deputy leader of the Cheongna Guild.”

That’s right. Han Yi Sung. I remembered. Yeah, that’s the name.

I think he’s in his mid-30s? Lastly, he looks a little younger than when I saw him on the news. He wore a suit and tie, which gave him a more office-like atmosphere than a hunter.

He’s so famous given that I’ve even seen him on the news, but how does this person know me? I’ve never even been on the news.

“Do you know me?”

“Aren’t you the cousin of Kwon Jiwoon from the White Silver Guild?”

“Ah.”

He knew Kwon Jiwoon. Indeed, it was not strange to say that they were an acquaintance because both of them are hunters.

Hunter Han Yisung said with a bitter smile on his sociable face.

“I heard a lot about you. You are very different from Hunter Kwon Jiwoon.”

I’ve heard that a lot.

Compared to Kwon Jiwoon’s striking appearance, I have a common impression.

If you put us side by side, you’ll get the impression that one is an important person and the other is a Person A. If it’s an RPG game, it’s like a novice village innkeeper who sees off the main character hero’s party.

The family of a famous hunter is usually treated like that. Although I have awakened, I am a F-class owner cafe, so I am just like a normal person.

Naturally, the answer I gave was stiff.

“Because we don’t look similiar?”

“No, it’s not about looks, Hunter Kwon Jiwoon….”

Han Yisung, who was waving his hand in surprise, blurted out the end of his words as he couldn’t choose the right word.

“….Rieul.”

At that time, Kwon Jiwoon appeared through the people around him.

Perhaps he was surprised to see me in a mess, drenched in blood, his dark eyes sank deeper. Why is Kwon Jiwoon here?

Oh, it was an emergency, so they must have called him as a healer.

“Did you get hurt? That’s why I told you to stop working in a place like this….”

“….”

A heavy sigh followed.

“Come here, I will treat you.”

“I’m okay.”

“Kwon Rieul.”

But all the blood on me was from James, and all I got was just a scratch. I continued, pointing to James lying on the cot.

“James, more than me … Look at that Hunter first. He got hurt a lot.”

As Kwon Jiwoon approached, the medical staff who was monitoring James’ condition made a place for him.

James was still unconscious. Although the first aid was already given, the arm that was bitten by the cave black bear was deeply dug, and the blood did not stop flowing, so his clothes were soaked.

Kwon Jiwoon immediately used his skill, and the twinkling light from his fingertips was absorbed into James’ body.

Slowly, the bleeding stops and the flesh reattaches. It is an amazing skill effect whenever I look at it.

Even so, James still showed no sign of opening his eyes. No, it seemed to get worse. His face is ashy and his lips are dark. In addition, Kwon Jiwoon’s expression became serious.

“Why … what’s wrong? Is it too much?”

“This … this might be difficult.”

Kwon Jiwoon, the 12th-ranked hunter, is the nation’s best healer. His skill ‘Healing Light‘ is a powerful healer skill that can heal even the worst wounds with just a breath.

When he said skeptical words like that, I was terrified. If James were to die….

No, let’s not think about it. Why die? He needs to survive.

Hunter Han Yisung, who was watching from the side, spoke to me.

“Miss Rieul, what kind of monster attacked you?”

“Ah, that …. it was said that it was an A-class Cave Black Bear.”

As soon as he heard my words, Hunter Han Yisung’s face darkened.

“Why is that here?”

“What’s wrong with it?”

“A-Class Cave Black Bear is a monster that only rarely occurs in dungeons that are originally grade B or higher. There are only a handful of them that have been observed in 20 years.”

But the monster is already dead, so why do he looks like this? Why hasn’t James opened his eyes yet?

“The claws of the Cave Black Bear are cursed. It’s the opposite of a healing skill.”

“The trauma has healed, but the part that has been engulfed by the curse is reducing the effectiveness of the Healing Light. In order to be completely healed, the curse must first be lifted….”

“There is currently no hunter in Korea who can lift the A-class curse.”

Hunter Han Yisung let out a low sigh, and Kwon Jiwoon lowered his eyes bitterly.

What, why are you two making such faces? Don’t tell me there’s really no other way….

“Then, James….”

Kwon Jiwoon put his hand on my shoulder. The deep disappointment he felt has been transmitted to me as well.

“…Kwon Rieul, where are you going?”

Is there any way?

I ran into the store with a feeling of grasping at straws.

Before the monster appeared, James drank two cups of coffee mix. The effect is a 100% increase in recovery speed.

If I let him drink up to the third cup, the recovery effect may be stronger.

It may be a silly idea, but it may work. I had no choice but to hold on to such hope.

The inside of the store was a mess with debris and broken tables.

I quickly found what I needed inside.

Fortunately, the electrical pot was not broken. The coffee mix bags, paper cups and teaspoons were also crushed but still remained usable. I immediately used the skill while boiling water.

‘Cafe in My Hand.’

I was in a hurry. I quickly poured the coffee mix into a paper cup.

[High concentration increases the perfection of the drink.]

[Item: Coffee Mix (★★★★★)]

[Status: Perfect….]

Without even having time to check the system notification to make sure it was done properly, I grabbed the paper cup and ran to James.

“Kwon Rieul, that?”

“Let me try it once.”

Kwon Jiwoon didn’t stop me.

Rather than expecting it to work, it seemed like he was just concerned about my mind.

It’s hard to feed a person who has collapsed with hot coffee mix. I waited for the coffee to cool down moderately, then grabbed his nose and poured it into his mouth.

…. Gulp.

Translator’s Corner:

You can google “what is munchkin in RPG” if you want to get a detailed explanation of munchkin, but if you don’t want to do that, you can be a simple person like me who simplified the term as “munchkin = ridiculously OP”.

I changed the translation of 청라 from Cheongra to Cheongna. I used Cheongra in the first chapter because I was thinking about Blue Dragon (청룡 / Cheongryong), and the guild’s name might be similiar. But when I googled it, Cheongna got used more oftenly than Cheongra as a place’s name even though it has same hangul. Idk you guys can tell which one you like more between Cheongra and Cheongna. I’m still thinking if the name is supposed to be translated to Blue-something. Cheong (청) is Blue (or Green, if that’s what you choose to believe), but I’m not sure about the 라.

Oh, and please give this a vote too. As usual, the ‘u’ or ‘eo’ in Korean name is such a pain to decide.
