Chapter 316: Damn Fatty! [Part 2]
Besides Shi Tang, Cillin also picked up a few more people along his itinerary and delivered them all to space fortress. Nothing bad should happen since Xi Kai would be watching over the place personally. Also, he wasn’t worried that the existence of Black Viper being leaked. They probably thought that the space fortress belonged to him, and in a sense they were correct.
Cillin continued his search for the black box while the experiments were being carried out on the space fortress. Both bases were covered this way.
Cillin did a calculation on the location Genya told him and marked the planet with the highest probability to contain the black box. It would be the starting point of his search.
Every planet possessed their own characteristics and pacing, and the one he was headed to was no exception. The people of this planet were relatively civilized thanks to the establishment of several unpopular middle level schools on this planet. Of course, it was only relatively speaking.
The spaceplane landed at a remote area. Cillin and Moon were busy collecting all kinds of data dating as far back as several millenniums ago. Wheeze was idly watching the screen.
Maybe they were afraid, but the noisy old fellows who usually kept it entertained had been very quiet as of late. Moon alone was enough to collect the data, and it had no one to argue with. The gray cat stretched itself briefly, informed Cillin that it was going away to look for food, and left just like that.
This had happened many times already, so Cillin wasn’t worried in the slightest.
Wheeze broke off into a run the second it was out of the spaceplane. It was unbearable being cooped up inside the spaceplane. Also, Cillin wanted it to exercise because it ate a lot but rarely moved, and so was growing fatter day by day.
Wheeze ran through a forest and got close to a nearby town. It could hear the sounds of people and machine already.
At first, Wheeze wasn’t planning to go inside the town. All it wanted to do was capture a couple of small animals in the forest and enjoy a new flavor. It made a sharp turn when its nose caught the scent of something, however.
At a grassy land at the edge of the town, a youngster who looked to be around fourteen to fifteen years old was sitting on the ground. His bag was tossed casually at the side, and his shirt was unnaturally stretched, wrinkled and covered in several footprints. It was obvious that he was fresh out of a brawl.
Right now, the youngster was holding a solar-heated lunch box and eating some fish balls. It was his lunch. Suddenly, he felt a weight on his wrist. When he looked down, he noticed that a pair of very fat paws were sitting on top of it.
The sudden action had caused the fish ball on his fork to fall off. However, it was devoured by a cat before it touched the ground.
The youngster maintained his posture and stared at the fat cat that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Was he so lost in thought that he forgot to pay attention to his surroundings?
The youngster stared at the cat, and the cat stared… at the fish balls in his lunch box.
“You want them?”
Wheeze nodded. Isn’t that obvious? Why would I be here if I didn’t want to eat them?
The youngster considered the idea for a moment. Just when Wheeze thought that he would pass over the lunch box to it, the youngster suddenly stuffed a couple of fish balls into his mouth at high speed.
Wheeze: “...”
Wheeze was about to go to town on the youngster when he suddenly passed it the lunch box. There were still three fish balls in them.
“This is my lunch. I can share, but I ain’t starving because of you, you understand?” The youngster said with a mouthful of fish balls.
“This is more like it,” Wheeze mumbled.
Pu—
The youngster abruptly spat out everything in its mouth.
“You can talk?!”
This cat could talk! It’s probably one of those superior breeds or something that only a rich person could afford.
Wheeze flicked its ears and ignored the utterly pointless and time-wasting question completely. There were fish balls to be eaten.
The youngster wiped his mouth and observed the fat cat that was gobbling up his lunch. It didn’t look like it was wearing an identifier or a tracker anywhere. How was its master supposed to find its pet then? Maybe the tracker was beneath its skin?
Wheeze looked at the youngster again after it was done. It wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy its appetite.
“This is all I have.” The youngster spread his arms wide before lying down on the ground. He put his hands behind his head and looked at the sky.
That’s it? Wheeze licked its lips before walking to the youngster’s back. Then, it pulled it open with its paws.
“Hey, it’s impolite to look through another person’s bag.”
“Impolite? What’s that?” Wheeze asked without stopping for a second.

The youngster: “...”
“Middle level school… time table… Aha! You’re supposed to be at school right now!” Wheeze raised its tail triumphantly as if it had found the youngster’s weakness.
The youngster curled his lips. “School? What’s that?”
Wheeze’s whiskers twitched. It wasn’t expecting the brat to throw its words back at it. It went through the bag again, but there really wasn’t anything left to eat, so it tried to leave. Suddenly, the youngster pulled some grass from the ground and started weaving. The handiwork was finished very quickly. It was a frog. But unlike your average grass woven frog, it was more intricate because it was made with a bit more technique.
The youngster changed its posture and lay down on his belly instead. Then, he pressed down on the back of the grass woven frog, released it and watch it jumped unbelievably high toward the tree. It bounced off the tree and landed perfectly back in his hand. Judging from how familiar his movements were, the youngster probably came here and passed his time like this very often.
Wheeze couldn’t help but knead its paws as it watched the grass woven frog. My claws are itchy…
The youngster pressed on the back of the grass woven frog and released it again. This time though, a fat figure slapped the frog right out of the air before it could hit the tree. His eyes twitched. He wasn’t expecting the fatty to be able to jump this high.
Its agility doesn’t match its appearance at all.
Wheeze pushed the frog back to the youngster. The youngster made the frog jump again so that Wheeze could slap it out of the air, smiling as the fatty jumped all over the place. It must not know how ridiculous it looks when it’s jumping. It’s like watching a bag of fat flapping like a bird.
A while later, Wheeze stopped because it got bored by the lack of challenge. It grabbed the grass woven frog and looked at the youngster.
“This is pretty well made.”
“Of course it is. I’ve been weaving this since I was young. I’ve even tested a bunch of grasses and confirmed that the ones here are the best,” the youngster replied proudly.
“What is the name of this grass? Its scientific name to be exact?” Wheeze asked.
“...” The youngster frowned in concentration. “I don’t know… why are you looking at me like that? Who in their right mind would think to check the scientific name of a random grass?!”
Wheeze continued staring at the youngster scornfully. “You said you’ve been doing this since you were young, and yet you didn’t even look up its scientific name?”
The youngster thought that the fatty wasn’t cute at all!
“Hmph!” The youngster ignored Wheeze and got up. He patted away the grass on his clothes, grabbed his bag and left.
“Hey, where are you going?” Wheeze followed behind him.
“What does that have to do with you? By the way, shouldn’t you go back to your master already? Won’t they worry about you?”
“Nope.”
“I might sell you for cash, you know?”
“Do it,” Wheeze said carelessly.
The youngster: “...”
The youngster finally stopped in his tracks, turned around to face Wheeze and asked, “Why are you following me?”
“I want to know where you bought those fish balls.”
“It’s self-made, not… bought…” The youngster knew that something was up the second he saw the obvious glint in Wheeze’s eyes. He then turned away from the gray cat and ran like hell.
It didn’t take a genius to figure out that the cat had a legendary appetite, and he hadn’t forgotten what the auntie living next door always said about appetite: Why is a person poor? Because they couldn’t stop eating, of course!
Anyone the fat cat set its eyes on would only end up in tragedy, the youngster was sure of it. He could already imagine his already meager stock of fish vanishing from fridge already.
Fuck!
The longer he thought about it, the faster he ran. Luckily for him there weren’t many people on the streets, and even when there were they only glanced at him once before shaking their head in silence. Everyone here knows that the youngster was a master brawler and couldn’t be bothered to get tangled up in his business, even if he looked like he was being chased by a ghost right now for whatever reason.
The youngster ran across an entire street and rounded a corner. Finally, he slowed down, put a hand on a wall and breathed a little heavily. When he looked up though, he was met by a pair of round, feline eyes.
The youngster: “...”
Wheeze was sitting calmly atop a dustbin. It grinned a wide grin and raised a paw in greeting. “Yo!”
Yo, my ass!
The youngster facepalmed as he sank to knees. Damn fatty!
