Chapter 63: Chapter 62: Swimming Lessons

“I swear, Alex, I don’t know how you work with that woman. She’s a nightmare and a half and that’s even putting it nicely.”

Alex had to laugh as he listened to Rick ask about Belladonna. Both men were currently having a drink at Vesta’s only watering hole—a small bar that was located inside Biosphere Ten. Joining them was also Michelle Baird, who’d been warming Rick’s bed for the past week, much to the annoyance of Nikki, Rick’s official companion.

At least Michelle wasn’t as flirtatious as she’d been the first time Alex met her. Her new fling with Rick seemed to be taking care of her needs for the present time.

“Just call it like it really is,” interrupted Michelle. “The woman is a cunt. We know it and she knows it so why pretend otherwise?”

“She certainly doesn’t like me,” replied Alex. “And she makes sure I know it every time she meets with me. You should hear the way she says ‘Councilor Hawthorne’ when she addresses me. It’s like she’s trying to spit a turd out of her mouth at the same time.”

Michelle started to laugh. “That’s the Belladonna that we all know and hate. You know the funny thing about her is that she campaigned to get on the Council in the most selfless way possible, like she was going to turn Vesta around and be completely devoted to the people. And then one of the first things she proposed was to do away with elections and make the Council hereditary. All she cares about is power.”

“Ellie has told me some stories about her,” said Alex as his mind started to trail off. Thinking of Ellie these days only brought up the guilt that he had about sleeping with her. Besides the issue of doing it behind Jenna’s back, Ellie had shown no inclination of it only being a one-time thing. There was even a message on his P-com right now begging him to come over and “take her pussy to Orgasm Land.”

Bad jokes aside, it did little to stem his guilt and he didn’t answer the message. Ignoring Ellie didn’t do anything to make him feel better about Jenna though, and Alex found that he was avoiding her too. The excuses were easy after all.

Being on the Council and now being the commander of the VDF meant no end to the amount of work, which he used to justify not being home. But he was beginning to think that Jenna suspected something and there was only so long that he could run from the truth.

“Alex, isn’t there a way you can just vote her off the Council?” asked Michelle. “Like what they did to Ellie?”

Alex shook his head. “You need a majority of votes to make that happen and right now, Belladonna controls the Council. On the most important matters, Belladonna makes sure that Cassara and Serrano vote her way so we’d never have a majority.”

“But they still voted to confirm you for commander of the VDF,” noted Rick. “So that voting block isn’t impenetrable.”

“You have a point, but I think that was a relatively small matter,” said Alex. “I think Belladonna was only putting in her objections to be a pain in the ass.”

“Imagine that,” quipped Michelle.

“I don’t think she seriously intended to block my ascension to command,” finished Alex. “She might be a petty bitch but she’s not an idiot.”

“Is there any chance of pulling Serrano to your side?” asked Michelle.

Both Alex and Rick looked at each other and started to laugh.

“Not a chance in hell,” replied Rick. “Not after what Alex did to him on the Racine. I’m still amazed you two can be in the same room without killing each other.”

“Rick is right,” added Alex. “We’re on our own until the status quo changes. And who knows when that will be?”

Though Alex had no way of knowing it, the status quo was already changing. And it was going to change in a big way very soon.

He spent the rest of the night with Rick and Michelle before going home, finding that Jenna was already in bed. She cuddled up against him after mumbling something about him being home late, but she was soon fast asleep again.

The next morning, Jenna was out of bed first for work, allowing Alex leisurely time to wake up without being on his guard. After getting a quick breakfast, he headed to the pool on Biosphere Six just in time to meet Annette for her very first swimming lesson.

And she definitely came dressed to impress. Annette was only wearing a hunter-green bikini, the kind that showed off almost everything (and strongly hinted at what remained covered). Alex could only stare as he walked over to her, loving all the creamy skin he could see, as well as her incredible body. It was the first time he’d seen Annette this disrobed, and he found himself wishing it wasn’t the last time.

Annette was curvy in a way that her cousin wasn’t but that only added to her appeal. She had the kind of hips that you just wanted to grab onto and start humping. She grinned as he approached her. “Now I know what Ellie was talking about.”

A confused look appeared on his face. “What do you mean?”

“The way you look at me,” she said, rubbing her hands down her stomach and ending on her thighs. “Ellie said that’s one of her favorite things—finding your eyes roaming her body, seeing the desire in them. That’s what you were just doing to me right now, weren’t you?”

There was no use denying it.

“Yeah, I was,” replied Alex. “I didn’t have any idea you had all this under your clothes but I do now. And I just have to say . . . .damn!”

Annette started to laugh. “You’re so close to getting laid and you don’t even know it.”

Reality came back to him at that point. “That’s not going to help my current situation at all.”

Annette gave him a knowing look, which made him panic for a second. “I can only imagine that you’re in enough trouble as is right now. Come on, let’s get in the pool.”

Annette started to walk in slowly, wadding in to her hips as Alex did the same.

“What makes you say that?” asked Alex. “Why do you think I’m in trouble?”

“Because I know, Alex,” said Annette, making his stomach drop. “I know that Ellie gave you head. She tells me everything, remember?”

“Right, just head,” said Alex, confused. Did Annette not know that he and Ellie went all the way? Did Ellie really keep that a secret?

“It’s just oral sex,” said Annette with a shrug, which caused her tits to bounce delightfully. “It’s not like you two fucked after all.”

“Right,” added Alex, secretly relieved. Ellie had kept their secret after all.

“So when are you going to tell Jenna? Or are you?”

“It’s complicated, Annette. I don’t know what to tell her because I’m afraid I know what’s going to happen when she finds out.”

“Jenna does seem to be on the possessive side,” she noted. “For the record, I won’t say a word. I’ll keep your secret . . . well, maybe.”

Alex smirked at her. “I suppose you want something in exchange for your silence?”

Annette splashed him with water. “I could use that same treatment that I witnessed the last time you were in the pool area.”

To emphasize her point, Annette’s fingers slipped under her bikini bottoms to rub herself for a moment. When she pulled them away, her fingers were glistening, but not from the pool water.

“It’s definitely tempting,” said Alex. “But I’m in enough trouble as it is.”

She didn’t wait for his response before pulling the cup of her bikini bra to the side, exposing the tiniest pink nipple. As he suspected, it was already hard.

“I’ll have you know that Council members aren’t supposed to expose themselves in this matter in such a public area, like the rec pool,” teased Alex. “I’ve been busted for that once already.”

Annette made a shocked face and covered her mouth playfully. “I really hope you don’t tell on me. I’ll do anything for your silence, Alex! Anything at all.”

Alex couldn’t help but laugh. Annette was just fun. Though there was still the underlying sexual tension with her that he had with Ellie and Jenna, his relationship with her was different (as it was different between Ellie and Jenna too). Annette didn’t take herself too seriously, which Ellie could be guilty of, especially owing to the expectations of her family name. Annette was also more experienced than Jenna and more willing to enjoy herself without the fear of who was watching.

In his mind, Annette was quickly joining ranks with the other two women, and that only further complicated Alex’s life.

“So I have to say, you’re not much of a teacher right now,” teased Annette, breaking him from his thoughts. “We’ve been in the water for ten minutes and you haven’t taught me a thing yet.”

“I’m about to teach you what a dunk looks like,” growled Alex.

“You wouldn’t do that to little, old me, would you?”

Alex answered the question by quickly chasing her and pulling her under. Annette flapped her arms and pulled herself back to the surface as water dripped from her face and ponytail.

“I’m starting to regret this,” she grumbled.

“Don’t do that,” replied Alex. “You just learned your first lesson.”

“What would that be? Select a better teacher next time?”

“No, how not to panic when you go underwater,” said Alex with a grin.

“I hope my other lessons aren’t as drastic,” she mumbled. “Can we start with the basics first?”

Alex sighed playfully. “If you insist.”

For the next hour, they went through the basics as Alex saw them, starting with how to tread water (which Annette picked up very quickly) as well as her first strokes including the breaststroke and the backstroke (which she also picked up easily).

“I don’t think you’ve been honest with me,” said Alex at the end of their session. “You picked this up just a little too fast. You’ve done this before, haven’t you?”

Annette gave him a guilty smile. “No, no, no, this is my first time.”

“I have a feeling you’ve said that before too, in a much different situation.”

Annette giggled. “Perhaps. But maybe I’ve been in a pool before. And maybe I’ve had some practice with swimming.”

Alex splashed her. “You lied to me. Why’d you do that?”

Annette shrugged, which made her tits bounce again. “I just like spending time with you. And when you made the offer, I thought it was a good way to do it without making it weird.”

“Why would it be weird?”

Annette gave him a knowing look. “Remind me again how many women you’re currently intimate with?”

“Okay, point taken. So what are you saying? That you want to be on the list as well?”

Annette swam closer to him, not stopping until her tits pressed against his chest. “Am I not on the list already?”

“You’re definitely on the list.”

She smiled. “I hoped so.”

With those last words, Annette leaned in and kissed him. It was a surprisingly passionate kiss but one that was held with a certain restraint. When Annette pulled away moments later, her cheeks were flushed in a deep red color.

“Sorry,” she muttered quietly.

“Why are you sorry?” he whispered.

“I’ve just been wanting to do that for a while now. I was trying to hold back but I just couldn’t anymore.”

Alex nodded. “I’m glad that you did. Even though it just further complicates things for me.”

“It won’t be a problem for me,” she promised. “Or for Ellie. You remember this isn’t the first time this has happened with us, right?”

“I remember,” replied Alex.

“Good. Let’s not say anything more about it right now.” Annette grinned wickedly. “Or I’ll just have to put my lips somewhere else.”

Alex laughed. “Don’t threaten me with a good time.”

Her eyes sparkled with mischief. “Oh, it would be a very good time. For both of us. And maybe Ellie too, if you’re into the whole two girls at once thing.”

Alex gulped heavily as his cock jumped. This planet was turning out to be a very interesting place.
