Chapter 20: The 3E Test
Is this the 3E test? All of them look like they’re on drugs, just like some people I used to know in my previous life. No. They’ve been affected by the dragon language.
Lu Chen had exceptional hearing abilities, so he could recognize the hidden dragon language in the music. The language sounded like an oracle from the universe. Although he didn’t understand it, he could feel the majesty of it—it was the order given out by a superior being.
The students were not really out of their minds as they had retained some of their consciousness. After a moment of acting weirdly, they began sitting down and drawing on the pieces of paper.
Some students behaved strangely as they started carving the answers on the tables, but the pencils were not sturdy enough, so they even started using their nails. Soon, their hands were drenched in blood, but they didn’t seem to be in pain at all.
Just then, Lu Chen began jotting down his answer as well. In fact, he was copying the answer from other people. He didn’t even have to stand up to take a peek. With his incredible eyesight, he was able to observe all their movements clearly. Given his knowledge in the kinematics of human motion, he was able to picture all their answers in his mind.
Fortunately, he was seated in the last row, so he was able to watch all the students at the same time. Although it wasn’t a glorious act, he was used to cheating in exams.
In his previous life, he had to sit for some exams in the military. He wasn’t good at studying, but he could always pass the exams with flying colors. It was thanks to this secret skill he possessed, and his companions who were willing to cooperate with him.
Hence, he had his own insights when it came to copying answers. First of all, he would disregard those Grade B students and focus on those Grade A students he had come across during the physical test. After every section, he would compare all their answers.
After all, they were Grade A students, so all their answers to the first few questions were quite similar, which was why Lu Chen could set his mind at ease and copy their answers. For the following questions, some of them would draw different answers or couldn’t draw anything at all, so he would just copy the most common answers.
There were a total of ten questions. Finger had told him that no one could possibly answer all ten questions. Blood lineage was indeed wonderful. Although they were Grade A students, some of them could resonate with the dragon language while some of them couldn’t for the same questions.
Nevertheless, their answers would appear to be perfect when combined, so Lu Chen was busy with copying the answers. During the process, he paid extra attention to a female student, who had long red hair.
Although this was an important exam, she was clad in a purple skirt, white silk shirt, black stockings, and a pair of silver four-leaf clover-shaped earrings, which made her look different from those students who were wearing the college uniforms. She appeared to be a rebellious student who demanded freedom.
Nevertheless, she was the quietest among these students. Since she was facing away from Lu Chen, he couldn’t see the expression on her face. She had never acted weirdly as she focused on drawing on the paper.
In fact, he remembered this girl—Chen Motong, who won fourth place in the physical test, so she was indeed one of the strongest girls in this college.
For some reason, he didn’t like the feeling this girl gave off, for people who pursued freedom wouldn’t think about the price the others had to pay for them to enjoy their freedom. These people were carefree, but at the same time, they were irresponsible.
Then, Lu Chen shook his head and continued copying the answers. There were three questions left.

Inside the monitoring room, Schneider and the other professors were staring at the screens on which the livestreams of new students sitting for the exams were shown. Naturally, their focus was on Hall No. 1201, where the expected Grade A students were located.
“He seriously might just be the next Grade S student. Throughout the exam, he has never acted strangely as he’s been staying quietly by the table.” Guderian’s voice sounded jealous as he watched the livestream. How did such a gem end up becoming that maniac’s student? This is such a waste of talent! If he were my student, he might become a life-long professor in this college.
“Norma will tell us whether he’ll be Grade S after the test. He can’t possibly draw anything if he can’t see the answers. Since he’s never stopped drawing, I believe his answers will be correct.” The President of the Discipline Committee, Manstein, was there as well. Some of the people in the hall were his students. Although they also performed well in the exam, they paled in comparison with Lu Chen, who appeared calm and collected.
“We’ll still have to wait for Norma’s assessment.” Faced with the praises, Schneider remained dispassionate as he spoke. To him, the 3E test was undoubtedly important, but as the leader of the Executive Department, he placed more emphasis on Lu Chen’s potential in real combat.
Even if Lu Chen could only get three answers right, Schneider would still choose to cultivate him to be the executive agent if Lu Chen’s soul was powerful enough. On the other hand, he had high hopes for Chu Zihang as well. After all, Chu Zihang got admitted to the college through his own hard work. He could never forget Chu Zihang’s gaze the first time he came across him. At that time, Chu Zihang was like an alert young beast. Nevertheless, a young beast would grow up one day and destroy his enemies ruthlessly.
Furthermore, he had investigated Chu Zihang’s background before, and he was shocked to find that a particular record regarding Chu Zihang was labelled as SSS by Norma, so he also didn’t have the right to have a look. He had asked Angus about it, but the latter just beated around the bush and told him to take care of Chu Zihang.
“Professor Mance, your student is performing well too.” Guderian spoke all of a sudden. At that moment, they could see that Chen Motong was crying in silence. However, Mance just stared at the screen without uttering a word.
…
The exam was over at 12.00PM. The students came to their senses, and when they saw the drawings on the papers, they wondered what had happened to them. Although they retained some of their consciousness when answering the questions, they couldn’t remember the strange acts they had done earlier.
When Guderian was collecting the papers, he realized that Lu Chen had used ten pieces of paper, so he thought that they might welcome a new Grade S student soon. Before he left the place, he gave the students a reminder. “Take a rest. You’ll start your studies in two days. Norma has sent the schedules to your mailboxes.”
Rising from the chair, Lu Chen stretched his back and let out a breath. It’s finally over. As long as there won’t be any problem with my fake soul, I’ll complete the mission.
“Mr. Chu, do you want to have a meal with me?” Lu Chen said.
However, Chu Zihang shook his head and replied, “No, thanks. You can have your meal first. I have to go back and get changed.”
It was then Lu Chen realized that Chu Zihang’s uniform was soaked in sweat. What did he see during the hallucination?
