With the assassin gone, I was free to continue exploring the ruins. More importantly, I was free to read the book that the old man had given me. My puppet replica, still underground in the library hurriedly made its way up out of the ruins. It slithered all the way up my tail and onto my shoulders, where it held out the book for me to grab.

Which was when I realized that my hands were way too big to for a task so delicate. My fingers were simply too huge. It would be impossible for me to hold the book without crushing it, much less carefully turn a page. So, I once again assumed control of the replica on my shoulder, and read through its eyes.

The book had no title, its green cover was blank. Its only identifiable trait was the essence it radiated, specific and strong enough to serve as a title all its own. I cracked it open and the essence grew stronger. It practically bled off of the first page of the book and faded in intensity the moment I turned to the next page. Which is where the book truly began.

It was about essence manipulation.

To be more specific it was about plant and life related essence manipulation. Eagerly I read through the first page, stopping only twice to reread it and make sure I had grasped every detail. Then I moved onto the next page and repeated the process. My brain already began to file it all away, to imagine how I could utilize it and incorporate it into my skill set. There were techniques and styles of using essence in here that I had never considered before. Things that seemed so obvious only after I read them.

Like manipulating the actual environment around me. Using the natural growth of the forest as a weapon itself. Shooting bark from nearby trees, turning fruits and berries into bombs, seeding and mutating life. And that was only the stuff at the beginning of the book. The things in the latter half were a lot more... Intense.

The amount skill and detail required for the techniques increased. Some even requiring an advanced understanding of runes and enchantments to even attempt. They were way above anything I could do currently, and would take years of training to begin to really grasp the depth behind them. At least that would be the case for a normal person.

And I was anything but normal.

I sent another of my puppets down into the ruins to grab some books on runes and enchantments. While it gathered more books I continued to read. Soaking up as much knowledge that the book had to offer. Techniques and fighting styles, theories and possibilities unproven, and after reading it all I was struck with a sudden idea.

Inspired by my fight against the assassin and the book, I sent a number of my puppets out to collect plants. They grabbed bushes, fruits, and everything else that naturally grew out of the ground. When they returned to me they set to work planting what they had collected on my serpentine half. Once they were done I bathed the plants, both new and old, in essence.

The deluge of energy caused them to grow rapidly. It also changed them, mutating them just like the book had said it would. Any plant or tree that wasn't poisonous or toxic before, became so. Those that were became even deadlier. It transformed the surface of my back from a poisonous garden into a truly toxic forest. I beamed with a sense of accomplishment at the changes. A smile plastered across my face as I felt my new forest continue to spread.

Soon it'd cover the entirety of my length.

The thought made my already massive smile stretch even further. And after a moment I broke into a little celebratory dance. I wiggled my hips, and each little swing shook the earth. My breasts, so magnificently gigantic and teardrop shaped, bounced up and down. My belly bounced with them, slapping against the ground with cataclysmic force with every rise and fall.

The moment lasted for a good minute or two before I returned to studying. Again, I took control of one of my puppets and read through yet another book. This one about runes in their simplest forms. Despite how simple it was supposed to be, I struggled to wrap my head around it. Parts of it made no sense to me while others only made partial sense. Still, I continued and tried my best to get the basics down and was met with mild success.

A spear made of my own essence and some wood manifested in my hand. The shaft of the weapon was emblazoned with a few crude looking runes. One for strength, one for speed, and a few others.

I twirled the spear in my hand and then threw it. It flew through the air faster than I'd expected it too and created an explosion when it struck the ground about a mile away. Without my essence to sustain it the spear vanished shortly after landing.

Slithering over to where it landed, I analyzed the damage it caused. Most of which was by the explosion rather than the initial strike. Trees were blown to bits and the ground had been turned into a 10 meter wide crater.

After getting a good look at the crater and another few hours of reading, I coiled around the ruins and fell asleep. My army of puppets remained vigilant as I rested, ready to die to protect me. And while I knew they wouldn't be able to handle anything that could actually threaten me on their own it still made me feel slightly more secure falling asleep.

A sleep that only lasted 3 hours.

A loud bang woke me up. My eyes snapped open and I turned towards the direction of the noise.

Off in the forest, there was a bright group of lights heading straight towards me. Either that or they were coming for the ruins. Regardless of their target, they would come face to face with me. So rather than wait for them to reach me I slithered over to them. Stopping right before I got to close and my belly - or breasts - blocked them from sight.

Despite how obvious an obstacle I was, the lights didn't stop. They continued moving recklessly forward, getting closer and closer with each passing moment. Then they were right beneath me, hidden by the mountainous curve of belly. They stopped then and one of the lights flew straight up my belly and came to a stop hovering on my breasts.

To my surprise the light was just that, a bright white light. It bobbed in the air with an unreadable essence coming off of it.

For a moment it stared at me, in the next it shot a laser at me. My size worked against me for once: I was too big to dodge. My head was too large to move out of the way and the laser was too fast. It hit me and left a tiny burn mark on my cheek that healed over in seconds.

I growled and drained the lights essence away. Which killed it far faster than it should have killed any living thing. At least far faster than I was used to. The other lights shared a similar fate and faded away just as quickly.

Only for more lights to come out of the forest seconds after. An obvious provocation that I couldn't leave ignored.

So I charged into the forest like a wild beast, slithering forward on my belly and using my arms to propel myself forward faster. My breasts bounced into my face over and over again, threatening to bury me. I endured it and swept through the forest. With a pull on all the essence in the surrounding area around my body I snuffed out the lights. More appeared a second after, shining in the distance.

They charged towards me without hesitation. Tiny lasers fired out toward me in a grid of burning light. I cranked my essence drain up to max and devoured the essence of everything around me for a straight mile in every direction. So much essence rushed into me it almost hurt. It was a flood and I was the damn; my walls broke and cracked, Essence forcefully poured through, Drowning for but a moment.

I wavered slightly, my pace slowing just a little. Then I pushed myself to slither faster, bulldozing more of the forest beneath me. Wind whipped by my face as I sped up and the lights grew ever so slightly in size. A moment, and another slither, later and the source of the lights was in my sights.

It was man dressed in an all white robe. He placed his hands down on the ground and seven little lights popped into existence. They flew towards me, already firing their lasers. Which is when the man realized how close I had gotten. Somehow he hadn't noticed me - the near 1000 ft long snake woman - get so close. And now he was paying the price for it.

He got up to run, only to immediately fall down on his butt as I came to a dangerously close stop before him. I could sense his essence as he squirmed beneath my presence, eyes no doubt wide with shock. I could imagine as he desperately tried to scoot back hoping that I didn't notice him. And then I reached down, blindly groping the ground beneath my belly until I felt him, and lifted the man up.

We came eye to eye as he created the virtual mountains that were my breasts. A sheepish smile on his face and a predatory one on mine.

"WAIT!" He screamed. Raising his arms up as if that would stop me. "Before you eat me or whatever can you, uh, drop me in your," He gulped. "Cleavage?"

My smile faded and wordlessly I granted him his request.
