The world I lived in was struck by a calamity. A foreign race invaded us and almost 60% of the world population was wiped out. Humanity was in great peril but we, humans, have a strong desire to survive.

I was just an average guy when everything started. Like most people, the calamity hit me hard. My family was taken away from me and I was enslaved by the foreign race. But I persisted, defying my cruel fate. I bid my time, gatthering the survivors around me, and finally leading them against the invaders.

But things are never just black and white. The contact between our two races, changed both of us in ways that we didn't expect. As we worked in secret to learn their superior tehnology, they slowly adopted our human habbits.

When we finally rose against them, there were some factions among themselfs that advocated for freeing the human slaves. Maybe if I would have waited a bit longer many more lives would have been saved. But I couldn't risk the future of my race on their good will.

So I led the uprising. It started to look like we could win, as we too wiped a huge number of their population. But the new war, fought on equal footing, ended up radicalizing both of our people. Both races became thisty for vengance.

Seeing that we were on the path of mutual destruction, I reached out to some of them, to negotiate peace. It was not easy, but against all oposition I managed to negociate a small fragile peace.

It wasn't much at first, it was just an excuse to regroup our forces. Nevertheless, during this time, a sense of comfort took over both sides. Most of us did not want to fight anymore, as peace time life quality looked so enticing. The underhanded trade and contact between our two races was in full bloom, despite the upper echelons desire to pin us against eachother.

That still wasn't enough for us to mend fences, as extremist groups on both sides were set to ruin any chance of actual peace. They finally acted to remove the biggest obstacle in their way: me.

Ironically enough, that's what ended up up making peace. Both extremist sides joined forces to kill me. And they did, but that only turned me into a Martyr. I died, but the seeds I left behind sprot some strong roots that ultimately lead to the cohabitation of our people.

I died, but yet I did not die. Dying I found out that death is not the end. Turns out death is just a new begining.

It is still clear in my mind, that very moment in which I had a third degree encounter with the Diviniy. A completly bizarre and unexpected experience, if you consider the fact that I was never a religious person. How is something like this possible? I have no clue. I can not explain it myself, all I can do is tell you what happened.

"No, you are dead, or so to speak." a strange voice, that sounded more like an amagalmation of multiple voices with different pitches, spoke to me.

"W-What do you mean? Who's talking to me?" I replied, while still baffled by the situation.

"To put it in words that you can understand, I am God. I am the supreme Divinity that is governing the laws of this Universe." the voice said to me.

"So there is life after death..." I said, more to myself than as a reply.

"Yes, in human words, you can say that this is the Judgement Day. There is no Haven, there is no Hell, not in the biblical sense at least. Since death itself doesn't exist. Everything is an acumulation of recyclable energy. Everything is eternal, nothing disappears completly, it only changes form." said the Divinity.

"Sounds complicated, even if I think I get the picture. But, God, how would You jugde me, if there is no Haven and no Hell? What's the meaning of the Judgement Day? What kind of life will there be after the so called death?"

"Everything has Karma. Every living and non living thing has Karma, so even objects have their own Karma. It is my role to boost the evolution of energy, at the lowest levels, based on Karma. If something accumulates too much negative Karma, it will be recycled into a lower form of energy. If something accumulates enough positive Karma, it will be recycled into a higher form of energy in a part of the Universe that I govern. To put it into words that you can understand, life is the most evolved form of energy and the best grace I can offer!"

"So the purpose of this Judgement Day is to decide in what I will be reincarnated?"

"Exactly. Everything starts as a form of energy without life. In time, through a series of cosmic singulations bordelining conincidence, that energy will accumulate Karma. After that I will recycle it into a superior form, it will be turned into matter. The recycle process, or what you can call evolution starts with pure energy. The stages of evolution are the following: Energy, Matter, Organism, Animal, Humanoid, Higher Existance, Entity and Divinity. "

"If I were to exaggerate a little bit, God, I would say I understand. But why are You explaining all this to me?"

"You're right, your hunch is correct. I usually dont explain this to humans, I only do it in special cases. Based on your history and Karma, you deserve a special treatment. More precisely, you are a rare case of consecutive evolution. Meaning you evolved from Energy to Humanoid, in one fell swoop, without having to be recycled twice in the same form. You have the minumum number of recyclings. You have been recycled only four times untill now, as you accumulated positive Karma four times in a row."

"Ok, so in my past lives I've been Matter, Organism and Animal? Then I reached Humanoid level? But what if I were to accumulate negative Karma once?"

"Yes, that's right. If you would have accumulated negative Karma, you would have been recycled into a lesser stage. For example, a Human that accumulates negative Karma will be reincarnated into an Animal. An Animal that accumulates negative Karma will be reincarnated into an Organism, and so on until they get recycled into the lesser stage of Energy. Energy is the lesser form of existance but in the same time the highest, as nothing can exist without it. This is what you humans call a paradox. In a way, everything is a paradox."

"I understand, or so to speak. Based on all this, will I be recycled into a Higher Existance? What does that even mean?"

"Yes, that's why I told you all this information. Theoretically, once you get to be a Higher Existance, you have the change to evolve into the supreme state of existance. But that is very very hard to achieve and you only have that chance once. Only those who had a consecutive evolution cycle, such as yourself, are being given this chance. I've gave you a clue to the supreme secret of existance and I will let you keep all your human memories, including the memory of me, as that will help you in your further evolution.

But bear in mind that the last stages of evolution are not under my control. Once you reach the level of a Higher Existance, you are on you own, energy can no longer be recyled by me into a higher stage. So if you die as a Higher Existance, without reaching the level of Entity, I can at best reincarnate you again into a Higher Existace with no memories of me or your previous life. Meaning you won't have a hint about the secret of existence, therefore you won't have even the theoretical chance of ever reaching true Divinity level. You will understand everything better in your next life. You will have enough time to ponder over such things."

The whole thing was too much for me. The revelation was too powerfull, I couldn't believe I have the chance to become a God. As I was still mulling over all this, at some point I wished to ask a few more questions. But before I could, the bright light that was already blinding me got even more intense while the white noise reached a deafening level. Everyhing went black, and that's all I could remember from then on.

"Good luck! The state of a singularity is not easy to achieve... Alas, nor the choice itself..."said the voice talking to itself.

Soon after, when I opened my eyes, I realised that I was reincarnated in a world completly different than my old world. A world that had something extra: Mana. Could this be what makes a Higher Existance, the presence of Mana? Anyway you cut it, at least I'm not left completly dry. I have some sort of explanation about what happened. Not to  mention, I felt like what God told me could have deeper meaning in the future.

"What's on your mind, Andrew?" a warm and melodic woman voice asked.

"Nonsense, ofcourse!" answered a man gazing outside, by a castle window.

"Come on, let's go! They're waiting for us!"she said, while leaving.

"Ok, ok, I'm coming!" said Andrew as he catched up with her.

The Divinity was right, life is the most sacred gift. My name is still Andrew now, but this is my new life. The secret of existance is a heavy burden. The chance to become a God is very tempting, but I got nothing to lose anyway. I will enjoy my new life and see what will happen.
