In the evening, Jiang Qinghan returned early from work.
Ever since she was promoted, her job scope shifted towards management, and she can hand the bits and pieces to her subordinates, especially when dealing with cases. She mainly deals with the overall supervision, and she no longer needs to personally make a trip to the frontlines.
For dinner, Yan Sha brought Little Wen back home. As Little Wen’s parents are preparing to upgrade their roadside stalls to a restaurant, they have been busy with the renovation.
To avoid affecting Little Wen’s studies, her parents would often get Litten Wen to have dinner in Yan Sha’s house. Although they’re both in Senior High Schools, Little Wen is in the elite class, while Yan Sha’s in the ordinary classes. Hence, Little Wen would often tutor Yan Sha in her studies.
When the two of them came home and saw Su Tao busy preparing dinner in the kitchen, the two of them hid in Yan Sha’s room as they started doing their homework. By the time Su Tao was done with preparing dinner, he went over to Yan Sha’s room. Through the door gap, she saw the two lass behaving mysteriously and gently snorted, frightening the two of them.
“Senior brother, why are you scaring us? Don’t you know that you can scare us to death?” Yan Sha questioned, puffing in anger.
On the other side, Little Wen immediately shoved the piece of paper on the desk into her pocket.
“Why would you be afraid if you’re not guilty of something?” Su Tao stretched his hand out and smiled, “Hand it over whatever the two of you are hiding!”
“There’s nothing!” Yan Sha replied, guilty as she continued, “This is my room, and you’re not allowed to come in anytime you want! Get out!”
Looking at Yan Sha’s flustered response, Su Tao became even more curious as he smiled, “Just what is it that the two of you are hiding? If you don’t take it out right now, I’ll be ratting about it to your mother!”
Seeing that Su Tao brought out Jiang Qinghan, Yan Sha gnashed her teeth, “You’re despicable!”
“Well, you won’t have to be afraid if you’re not guilty of something!” Su Tao shrugged as he went on, “If you have nothing on someone’s hand, no one will be able to blackmail you, and this is a lesson for you!”
Seeing the two of them bickering, Little Wen was left at a loss as she had no idea what to do right now. Hence, she looked at Yan Sha, seeking for assistance.
“Let him take a look at it then!” Yan Sha cast a glance at Su Tao and continued, “It’s nothing much anyways.”
When Little Wen took out the crump of paper from her pocket, Su Tao quickly went over and looked at it before his expression changed a little, “Love letter?”
“This is something that a boy from my class requested me to hand it to Yan Sha because he knows that the two of us are close.” Little Wen immediately explained on behalf of Yan Sha.
Reading through the letter, Su Tao sneered in disdain, “You can tell with a glance that it’s copied from somewhere online, and there’s no sincerity in this letter. How’s his family circumstances?”
“His mother works in the government sector, while his father is a businessman. He has good family circumstances, and at the same time, his results are great as well. He’s in the top five of the class.” Little Wen replied softly.
“Sounds good, but no. To talk about love at such a young age and even give a love letter, a boy like him isn’t reliable.” Su Tao spoke as he shoved the letter into his pocket.
“Why are you keeping it? Return it to me!” Yan Sha locked her brows together.
“I’m doing this to squish the first signs of your puppy love. I’ve decided to show the letter to your mother.” Su Tao smiled as he shook his head.
“…”
Yan Sha was left speechless as she never expected that Su Tao would take this move. Ever since Jiang Qinghan visited Russia, her mother has been behaving differently. If her mother knows that someone gave her a love letter, she will definitely be nagged.
“Why are you so shameless?” Yan Sha is practically on the verge of tearing up.
The reason why she agreed to show Su Tao the love letter is to trigger him a little and see if Su Tao would have any reaction and feel jealous. However, she never expected that Su Tao would behave so differently to what she’d predicted.
“You dare to scold me?” Su Tao glared at Yan Sha, but when he saw that the brim of her eyes were turning red, he finally stopped teasing her.
“Forget it, call me ‘my dearest senior brother’ and I’ll forget what I just saw.”
Sitting by the side, Little Wen was on the verge of bursting out in laughter due to Su Tao’s prank. My dearest senior brother? That’s way too cheesy, and it’s hard to imagine someone as stubborn as Yan Sha would be saying it.
As Yan Sha glared at Su Tao for a long time as she looked at him waving the paper in her face with Jiang Qinghan calling for them outside.
In the end, she could only submit as she whispered, “My dearest senior brother!”
Digging his ear with his pinky, Su Tao smiled, “It’s too soft, and I can’t hear it clearly.”

“MY DEAREST SENIOR BROTHER!” Yan Sha raised her voice furously.
Shaking his head, Su Tao replied unhappily, “Your tone isn’t good. Call again!”
In the end, Yan Sha could only swallow her anger as she squeezed out a smile, “My dearest senior brother!”
Looking at this scene by the side, Little Wen covered her mouth as her tears nearly dropped out. She could tell that Su Tao was just pranking Yan Sha.
When Yan Sha took back the love letter, she tore it into pieces as Su Tao whistled, “Come out and eat quickly. Don’t keep your mother waiting.”
Looking at Little Wen laughing, Yan Sha roared, “What are you laughing at?”
“I only find it too interesting. So even the fearless demoness has her Achilles’ Heel.” Little Wen patted on Yan Sha’s shoulder as she continued, “Before your senior brother, you’re flabbergasted.”
Crooking her neck, Yan Sha felt that something was amiss. Since when was she so suppressed by Su Tao? In the past when they bicker, there’s a fair exchange between them, but right now, she’s in the disadvantageous position.
Although they’re close in age, there’s a drastic difference in their wisdom. Whenever Yan Sha talked to Su Tao, she would feel as if she’s talking to an elder instead of someone around her age.
However, the small bickering did not affect Yan Sha’s mood.
The food prepared by Su Tao was exquisite, and anyone could gain an appetite just by looking at it. Although it was light in taste, it was aromatic as Little Wen was fond of the Black Fish Beancurd Soup that Su Tao spent a whole afternoon preparing.
After their dinner, Yan Sha and Little Wen returned to the room. When Jiang Qinghan was cleaning the table, she asked curiously, “You fell out with Yan Sha?”
“How can there be no conflicts between people? We can only understand each other better through conflicts, isn’t it?” Su Tao shrugged with a smile.
“Yeah!” Jiang Qinghan subconsciously gave a reply but she soon noticed something unusual about Su Tao’s tone and knitted her brows. She tried her best to convince herself that Su Tao did not have to dare to take her advantage.
“I feel that Yan Sha has been growing more reliant on you, and today’s the most she ate recently.” Jiang Qinghan went on to emphasise, “But she’s still a student, and studies is her utmost importance right now. It’s not good for her to be over reliant on someone.”
Su Tao knew that Jiang Qinghan meant and smiled as he comforted, “Master, you don’t have to be worried about it. I have only treated Yan Sha as a younger sister, and is there a problem for the younger sister to be reliant on her older brother? I know what you’re worried about, and I will pay attention to our distance.”
After a brief pondering over this issue, Jiang Qinghan ultimately shook her head and returned to the kitchen with the plates. In her heart, she was feeling conflicted. If Yan Sha has reached the age to get married, not only will she not obstruct the two of them, but she will also try her best to play the matchmaker.
However, Yan Sha is only in her first year, and she’s still young. It’s easy for feelings to grow between a young man and woman, and it will be troublesome if something happens.
But fortunately, Su Tao has been busy most of the time and he doesn’t have much time to interact with Yan Sha privately. Furthermore, Jiang Qinghan was more reassured with his words as she replied, “You’re more mature, and I’m not afraid that you might commit a mistake. But I understand Yan Sha too well, and she has her own opinion. You might be able to hold yourself back, but I’m afraid that she doesn’t have that patience.”
Su Tao never expected that Jiang Qinghan would go so deep into the topic. Just when he was pondering how to reassure Jiang Qinghan, he noticed something wrong with her topic. When she was piling the plates, she did not pile them up properly. Furthermore, due to the disturbance in her heart, the plates started to sway.
“Watch out!” Su Tao immediately called out.
However, Jiang Qinghan failed to respond in time as the plates fell onto the ground and scattered.
When Jiang Qinghan subconsciously wanted to pick up the fragments, she was carelessly cut by a fragment. But before she could even react, a force seized her hand before she felt a warm sensation. It was only at this moment only she reacted as she saw Su Tao sucking on her finger.
“Pfft!” Su Tao spat out the blood from Jiang Qinghan’s wound as he continued, “Saliva can act as disinfect and stop the blood. Fortunately that it’s only a small cut, if it’s any bigger, then you will have to take a tetanus jab in the hospital.”
Jiang Qinghan immediately pulled her hand back as she felt somewhat panicky in her heart because she actually felt her heart clenched up when Su Tao was sucking her finger.
She immediately warned herself that Su Tao is her disciple, and their intimate action was due to the fact that he’s a physician, and he only wanted to help her with her wound subconsciously.
Although Su Tao managed to maintain calm on his face, he was actually feeling panicky as well in his heart as he never expected that he would subconsciously suck on Jiang Qinghan’s finger.
Jiang Qinghan’s figure had a fragrance that covered the reeking of blood. Although it was only for a brief moment, it still left a deep impression in Su Tao.
When Yan Sha and Little Wen heard the commotion, they came out of the room as Jiang Qinghan immediately stood up and explained with a smile, “The floor was oily and I slipped. The two of you can continue with your homework. There’s nothing much, and I’ll clean this mess up in a while.”
Su Tao took the initiative to retrieve the broom as he cleaned up the fragments while Jiang Qinghan washed the few plates that survived the fall.
Once Su Tao was done with everything, he went into the kitchen as if he had forgotten about what just happened and rolled up his sleeves, “Master, why don’t you take a rest? You have a wound on your finger, so let me wash the plates!”
“It’s fine, it’s only a small cut!” Jiang Qinghan did not turn around to look at Su Tao, but Su Tao had already come over and shoved her aside.
It was an unintentional action from Su Tao as his waist bumped on the softness between her armpit and rib, causing Jiang Qinghan to nearly yell out in pain. But when she felt that it wasn’t appropriate, she could only swallow it silently and left, allowing Su Tao to wash the plates.
