From defeating a single goblin, only my INT was increased by five, while all of my other stats have remained the same. I was sure that I would get a bit more experience on my other stats as well, so why did this happen? Do goblins only give experience on INT? This was becoming somewhat confusing. Ever since I arrived here, I didn't get any kind of information on why I came here. I had to figure everything out by myself. Usually, in a game, they give all the necessary information in order to level up even more. But in this kind of place, I have no information at all for something that I don't understand...

Yes, this is really useful for my situation right now, but how am I supposed to use this skill if I can't touch anything? Is the developer making fun of me? Whoever created this skill, they should have known that a ghost can't touch anything... except...Aya. If I possess Aya, maybe this skill will work. Because other than using Aya, this skill is basically useless to me.

Now I have nothing else to do and I don't know how to pass the time… I'm kind of jealous of Aya since she can sleep all she wants, while for me, it's impossible. I can't even close my eyes in the first place since I can see through my own body. I went near the window and started looking around the place.

Soon, the sun was coming up, and a new morning was arriving once again. The view over the horizon in this kind of place was immaculate and beautiful, making the sunrise special. All of the stars were slowly disappearing as everything around the sky was becoming brighter. Even though this place doesn't have any technology concept, I don't mind staying here for a bit longer. This might be a new experience for me, even though I'm just a ghost.

“mhh.. ah n-no... mhh” From where I was, I could hear Aya's voice as she was twitching in her sleep. She must be having a nightmare right now.

I went beside her and gently held her hand. Compared to my hand that had no sense of touch, I could feel the warmth of her hand being transmitted towards me. This made me feel as If I was alive once again. After some seconds, Aya started gripping my hand really tight as if she didn't want to let go of me. Since I wanted Aya to take a bit more rest, I let her sleep as much as she wanted.

Another day passed, and Aya was still asleep. And since I had nothing to do, I decided to explore this house. I thought this would be amazing as in a game where you explore unknown places, but in the end, I was disappointed. This house didn't have anything special at all. Everything was mainly damaged or missing. It was as if this house was robbed, and all of the people that used to live here were murdered. If this is what happened then, it explains why there's blood stains everywhere.

I went back to the room where Aya was sleeping. Since I didn't need to take the stairs, I could just pass through the walls without any problem. The moment I went inside the room, I saw Aya waking up.

“Huh? G-ghost-san where are you?!” Her voice was trembling a little as she was calling for me. She didn't sound scared but worried about me not being here.

“Ghost-san?!” She looked at me the moment she noticed that I was in the room. Aya immediately got up and ran towards me, and in the end hugged me really tight.

“I thought you were gone as well.” She said as she looked up at me while still hugging me. Her eyes looked as if she was about to cry at any moment. I patted her head as I was trying to calm her down a little. Did she get scared after waking up alone? She was rubbing her face on my body as she was trying to calm down a little.

After Aya calmed down, she looked at me a bit confused.

“Why are we here? Weren't we at the forest gathering herbs?” I nodded at her question, but that made her even more confused. Well, I would be surprised if I suddenly woke up at a different place.

“Then how?... I know that I gathered all the herbs and then suddenly... that g-goblin…” Her body started shaking a little bit the moment she recalled that goblin showing up. I hugged Aya in order to calm her down once again, so she wouldn't freak out. And it seems it's working, and she was becoming much calmer than before.

“W-wait... Where are the herbs I gathered? I was sure I had put them in my pocket.” She started checking all of her pockets, but she couldn't find anything.

“It's not here! Not even my coin! Did I lose it when we were in the forest?” She became a little worried when she found out that she had all of her pockets empty. Well, I can't blame her since I gave all the herbs she had gathered to the guild, and with all of the money she had left, I bought something to eat. Aya's body was at her limit and I didn't think she could resist without eating something.

“W-we need to go back. I have to gather the herbs and give them to the guild.” She said as she was looking at me with her lovely eyes. Her eyes were seducing me as if they wanted me to do whatever she wanted. But should I really let her go back? I was planning on letting her rest a bit more. She was weak and alone, and what she wanted right now, was to become an adventurer. It's not my right to stop her from doing so, that's why I will help her as much as I can. This way I can also gain more experience on my status. If Aya becomes stronger using my skills then she won't have a problem living on her own anymore.

The sun was already up and Aya was on her way to the forest in order to gather all of the herbs once again. The guild has already received the herbs from Aya, even though she doesn't remember it. But two days ago, the guild said they were going to give Aya a test where they would see if she is suitable for this kind of work or not. My goal right now wasn't to gather the herbs but to help Aya and me level up. I'm not sure how this will end up, but I am going to protect Aya no matter what!

After passing the gate of this city once again, the place around looked the same as usual. But before we passed through the gate, the same guard recognized Aya.

“Herbs again?”

“Y-yes.” ( Aya )

“Okay be careful.” Aya could already understand that explaining everything to the guard was going to slow us down. And in no time we were back at the forest. She was a little scared but she wasn't going to back down now. That's how Aya felt while I was possessing her. I also was making sure that there weren't any monsters around us.
