The situation was just that strange. No matter how simple something was, it would be anything but straightforward once Xia Fei became involved!
All these various weird phenomena had left Radix and Hosu astonished beyond belief. Before they could even wrap their heads around everything, another impossible-to-explain scene had occurred! Xia Fei had actually managed to learn and use Soul combat art without anyone’s guidance, and had unleashed a rather effective Soul Shade, too!
“I refuse to believe this! Not even if you beat me up! There’s no such thing as being self-taught in this world! When the two of us were teaching you the Soul Cultivation Art just now, you were no different from a block of wood, completely incapable of activating your Soul Mark. Yet you’ve somehow turned into a self-taught genius in a blink of an eye?! This is no different from a fairy tale! It must have been an accident! An accident, I say!” Radix bemoaned.
Xia Fei shrugged and sighed, “I can’t help it if you two don’t believe me. Even now, I have this very strange idea brewing inside me, something I should be able to unleash as a Soul Art as well, though I have no idea what the effect would be.”
Hosu started and said in bewilderment, “Quick, quick, unleash it and let me and Radix have a look. Perhaps we might be able to glean something from it, who knows!”
Xia Fei nodded and promptly began to gather his own soul attack. As to why he had unleashed that Soul Shade just now, Xia Fei was not exactly too clear about it himself. He had only been chasing after this mysterious sensation inside him and doing things accordingly.
“Hey, now that we’re seeing it, these actions that Xia Fei’s doing really do look like it, but I simply don’t believe that Xia Fei has managed to grasp a Soul art on his own,” Radix muttered, stroking his chin with one hand.
As that sentence was uttered, the two saw a spark of light enveloping Xia Fei’s two hands, like his two hands were made of crystal, and the light was unleashed in the center of his palms!
“Crap!” Radix yelped as he retreated rapidly, diving back into the fiendish blade Nirvana!
Meanwhile, Hosu was rooted to the ground, dumbfounded right where he had been standing, like he was witnessing Armageddon’s arrival!
*Swoosh!*
The light quickly disappeared, leaving Xia Fei standing where he was, panting heavily. He looked to be very tired.
Radix poked his head out from Nirvana, looking very frightened.
“What happened? Why did you run off instantly?” Xia Fei wondered curiously.
Radix gulped as he shouted in a hoarse voice, “To think you’d say that so happily! There’s no enmity between us, and I’m even one of the personal bodyguards of your grandfather’s; why would you be trying to kill me?!”
“Kill you?! I didn’t attack you, why did you run off?” Xia Fei was confused.
The lips of Hosu trembled as he exclaimed in shock, “This is far too unbelievable! You actually demonstrated the Soul Mark’s Flash! That’s a Soul art that only a Soul-eater could grasp! Radix is in his soul form now, so of course he would flee after seeing your large AoE attack!”
The key here was not how Xia Fei had been able to unleash the Soul Mark’s Flash, which was capable of vanquishing souls. Instead, it was that Xia Fei possessed both Soul Hunting and Soul-eating abilities. He practically cultivated both types of Soul art!
“A Dual cultivator! You possess both Soul Hunting and Soul-eating cultivations!” Radix squealed so sharply that Xia Fei felt goosebumps hearing his voice!
…
The Temple of Many Gods had been rebuilt after the older temple was demolished. The location was actually not too far from the Law Realm where the two peak races resided, but due to how well concealed it was into its surroundings, no one had ever discovered its location to date.
The domineering aura it exerted was evident. Compared to the humongous temple of old, this newer Temple of Many Gods was a little smaller, but it appeared to be even sharper from the outside, filled with a tyrannical Aura that was unmatched.
“So this is where the sons of b*tch*s Founders were residing. Yours truly has searched long and hard for this place!” Xia Gucheng growled, staring at the temple from afar.
Beside him were three Founders: Crane, Ocean, and Vista, each with a weird expression on their faces. The grand ancestor of the Skywing Clan had cursed them all as sons of b*tch*s, forgetting in his agitation that his three comrades were Founders, and he had also been promoted to become one as well!
Crane had exhausted himself quite a bit trying to catch up to Xia Gucheng. As he was the quickest in terms of speed out of the three, he had been given the task of chasing after Xia Gucheng.
Fortunately, Xia Gucheng was no fool, and he knew that he lacked the strength to rock the distinguished temple all by himself. As such, he had gathered the five Superior Law Gods of Skywing – Xia Hong, Xia Jing, Xia Helin, Xia Ya and Xia Xiang – and was prepared to bring the greatest fighting force of his clan and assault the place.
Hearing that Xia Fei had been harmed by the Founders, these Law Gods were no longer able to quell the killing intent in their chests, bellowing out wildly as they eyed the temple in front of them alongside their grand ancestor with bloodshot eyes, just as the panting old man Crane arrived in time to stop them.
“Follow me!” Xia Gucheng waved his arm as the five Superior Law Gods behind him stood up, each looking like they were ferocious tigers that had left their lairs, ready to barge into the Temple of Many Gods at Xia Gucheng’s command.
Crane hurriedly blocked Xia Gucheng while sweating profusely. “Are you insane! Are you planning on just charging into the place like that?! That is the Temple of Many Gods! That is where seven of the thirteen Founders reside! It’s not too late for us to wait and come up with a more comprehensive plan before we take action!”
Xia Gucheng was obviously not willing to hear him out, huffing, “Wait? Tell me! How many years have you all been waiting, when will you be waiting until?! This old man doesn’t have the patience you three had! Anyone who kills my Skywings will pay it back with their blood! I won’t wait for even a moment sooner!”
*Whoosh!*
The Skywing wolves did not spare another word and went barrelling right for the Temple of Many Gods! The three Founders were helpless, and all they could do was follow Xia Fei, worry etched all over their faces.
Everyone had thought that there would be seven Founders inside the Temple of Many Gods, but none of them knew that Xia Fei had already slain Atrophy, and severely wounded Laughter!

Without even realizing it, the risks of this plan to assault the Temple of Many Gods had lessened quite a bit!.
…
Hosu let out a long sigh and said, “Xia Fei is really a dual cultivator of both Soul Hunting and Soul-Eating!”
Hosu and Radix had done a round of tests on Xia Fei and confirmed that Xia Fei did not gain the power from either of the two major systems, but that he had both of them. This came as a great shock and generated plenty of confusion for the two of them.
“Perhaps we are the ones who have been lacking in knowledge, which is why we did not know of anyone capable of cultivating the techniques from both systems. In any case, the situation Xia Fei had found himself in isn’t a terrible one. At the very least, he has already grasped the basic method of using his Soul Mark and can execute some very strange attacks according to the energy he had embedded in his Soul Mark.
“Honestly, I think Xia Fei is very different on the offense, almost as if he’s slightly more powerful than the average combat strength a Level One Soul Hunter possesses, and the power he utilizes is even more peculiar,” Hosu pointed out.
Radix nodded slightly, “What you said makes sense. I also know that Xia Fei already has the combat strength that a Level One Soul Hunter possesses, though I’m just unwilling to be resigned to the fact of how great a shame it will be if Xia Fei can learn none of the secret manuals of the Aurora Clan that were passed down over who knows how many billions of years, out of the many warriors and the myriad martial styles that exist.
Hosu was of course helpless to this fact as well, so he merely said, “Perhaps Xia Fei is just destined to be one of a kind. He’s the only one we know that has activated a Soul Mark so early in his cultivation, and he’s also the one that could not cultivate the legacy combat techniques of the clan. I just have this vague feeling…”
On that note, Hosu glanced over to Xia Fei, his gaze filled with worry.
“What feeling?” Radix curiously asked.
Hosu let out a sigh. “With how different Xia Fei is from the Aurora Clan, the moment he returns to the clan, he might be treated as a freak, becoming an existence that everyone does not understand or approve of. It might not be a good thing now that Xia Fei is unable to cultivate any of the Auroran combat techniques.”
Radix was stunned, and slowly lowered his head.
What Hosu was worried about was something he had already considered. After all, the Aurora Clan valued demeanor, while Xia Fei cared more about practicality. As long as he was able to kill his opponent, Xia Fei had no qualms about resorting to any means necessary!
Someone with conscientious thoughts and a head full of schemes, a sly and smooth personality, yet ruthless when forced to act. None of the traits that Xia Fei possessed would be tolerated in the Aurora Clan because none of them could be considered elegant!
Perhaps this had already been predestined; Xia Fei most likely could never assimilate into the Aurora Clan, the Clan that was considered the most elegant and personable family beyond the Cosmic Gate!
…
Xia Fei knew very well that his grand ancestor Xia Gucheng would definitely be anxious to locate him, and so after he spent some time testing his newly obtained Soul Mark, he headed toward Metal City and met up with Sophie. Since he was already in the Hidden Realm, he did not spend too much time chatting with his friends and learning about the progress they had made on the Titan superwarship at the same time.
When they met, the war armor Celestial Sole Warning that came from beyond the Cosmic Gate instantly unnerved Sophie, Warstar, and the others quite a bit.
Every piece of top-grade equipment had an aura of its own and while these weapons had no life of their own, they easily outshone everything, like an expert standing out against a common man, leaving everyone feeling breathless and pressured wherever they went. This was especially the case for the warbot Warstar, and for Phantom in his new body. Because the two of them were warriors, they were even more intensely affected by the feeling!
Of course, the Aura that Xia Fei was giving off now impressed others, as well. After all, he was now a Law God, and the development of his physical body was nearing its limit. Every motion that Xia Fei made gave off the demeanor of a master.
It was hard to find the words to describe just what was different about Xia Fei’s present self and how he was before. It was as if Xia Fei was still himself on the outside, smiling like always, looking like he could hardly harm a fly, but Phantom and Warstar could feel that Xia Fei was completely different. His rocket-like improvement from successful attainment of Law God cultivation and his activation of his Soul Mark made Xia Fei’s gaze even more profound.
As for Hosu, Warstar and Phantom were even more taken aback by his presence. They did not know where Xia Fei had located such a powerful supporter, but seeing him treat Xia Fei with reverence utterly floored everyone who saw it.
After exchanging pleasantries, Xia Fei dove right into the main topic, asking about Avril and the progress with the Titan. Right now, these were the two things that Xia Fei was preoccupied with in the Alliance.
Avril and Xiaoyu had become best friends, spending their days together. Though Xiaoyu was young, she had the experience of living in the Law Realm, and now she was like Avril’s master, helping her cultivate. It was unfortunate that Avril was far too soft, and while she was very hardworking, she would likely never achieve greatness.
Thankfully she still had Xia Fei, and the only thing he wanted Avril to learn from the Law of Life was how to achieve immortality. As for matters when it came to combat, he firmly believed it was better to be left to men to play around with, and that he was satisfied if all she did was take good care of herself.
Changing the topic, Xia Fei asked about the Titan.
Dimsky flashed him a mysterious smile and switched on a screen.
*Bzzt*
A humongous mushroom-shaped warship appeared before Xia Fei’s eyes, startling him. It looked from the outside as if the ship had been completed!
“It’s finished! You all actually finished the first Titan superwarship!” Xia Fei exclaimed.
Dimsky laughed. “Isn’t this all thanks to you as well? After all, those three scientists you brought over were tremendously capable! I have no idea just what sort of drug you brewed for them, but Wind Raja, Teddy and Yabli have been burning their lives working on it every day! Not to mention the ocean worth of technology you brought over from the Pinnacle Research Station, as well as the mech’s immense construction capabilities! We’ve already finished constructing the first Titan, and the trio is currently on the ship debugging it as they make a final inspection of the ship. I reckon it will be able to officially take flight in another week or so!”
Xia Fei slapped his thigh as he excitedly gushed, “Quick, connect me to Wind Raja and the others. I want to personally express my gratitude to them!” However, just as he said that, Xia Fei quickly changed his mind. “No, wait! The three of them have been such a great help, I ought to personally express my thanks to them in person!”
Everyone laughed. No matter how high a cultivation Xia Fei had, his attitude and personality remained as passionate as ever, becoming so excited upon hearing that the Titan that had occupied his mind day and night was about to take flight.
It was at that moment Hosu suddenly tugged at Xia Fei, his expression completely grim.
“You might have to do that another time.. Your clan’s grand ancestor Xia Gucheng is in trouble right now!” Hosu rumbled after he noticed the White Flamingo he was holding in his hand!
