Chapter 19: Ch. 19

(Kenji PoV)

Fire. Fire everywhere, I could see that I'm on top of a building, and the surrounding buildings are either destroyed or on fire. I could also hear the screams of despair of the people who were dying.

I tried to escape but I noticed that my powers doesn't work anymore.

Who could have done it? The one who reincarnated me? But why? That was when I heard a loud cry behind me.

"Father!!" I quickly turn around and saw my daughter Ellie on the edge of the building, holding Elijah while crying.

"Ellie!" I shouted on top of my lungs while the smoke took the chance to invade my lungs when I breathe.

"Ahk! Cough Cough!" I coughed while still hearing Elijah crying in the background with Ellie asking for my help.

"I-I'm coming!" I shouted back while thinking, 'How did the smoke get in my lungs when I'm on top of the roof?!' But I decided to ignore that and save my daughter and grandson first.

But suddenly, "Caesar... Needs... Help!" I heard his voice behind me and turns just to see Caesar also on the edge of the building while his eyes are bloodshot and had bullet wounds on his body.

"Caesar..." I muttered weakly.

*Boom!*

The building I'm standing on suddenly exploded while debris fell out.

I could already feel the building slowly tilting. I need to make a choice fast.

"Father!"

".... Help."

I kept turning my head side by side until I decided to make a decision.

I looked at Caesar and said, "I'm sorry Caesar..." I told him weakly before turning around not wanting to hear nor see his reaction.

But I still managed to glimpse at his face nodding while having the warmest smile.

"Ahhhh!!!" I shouted again and held both my daughter and grandson in my arms when suddenly.

*Boom!*

The ground we're standing on suddenly collapses making us fall to our deaths.

I could hear both of their screams and feel their fear while staring at the incoming ground.

"I'm sorry..." I managed to mutter before everything turns black.

(3rd PoV)

Inside a room, a man with a muscular but not too muscular body was sleeping while sweats were forming on his forehead while he was shaking his head side by side, while by his side was a black-haired beautiful lady with dark purple colored lips and black fingernails who was hugging him

(A:N: I'm planning on giving her the same tattoo as in the canon since she looks hot that way.)

Soon the man opens his eyes which were glowing dark red before closing them again and sighing in relief.

It's been six years since the Red-gate incident, and it was also that day that he dreamt that dream.

Since then, after discovering their secret, Kanae has been sneaking up to him every night until he finally allowed her to sleep beside him.

Now you must be wondering how could Kanae sneak up on him right? Well, that night was also the night he dreamt that dream for the 2nd time.

So that day the family went on a vacation to the Philippines, Boracay to celebrate their relationship and tha is where they also encountered a C-rank dungeon which was cleared by Kenji, and of course with the permission of the Philippine President.

Then, Kanae also finally awakened her mana, allowing her to participate in his dungeon raidings, and by the way, she is also an S-rank hunter like him so the whole of Japan was cheering for having another S-rank hunter.

And also, when she goes into puberty, she starts liking the purple color to the point that she even uses purple lipstick, and purple fingernails and most of her clothes are purple colored.

Then there is also Iroh who retired as a hunter and joins the family as a cook or that should what he was supposed to be called but all he ever did was just boil and serve tea, and also give some of his profound wisdom.

Every year, he"s been doing tests on strength since his strength seemed to keep increasing. Bon didn't know whether to promote him to something higher since S-rank is the highest rank that could be attained if you are a hunter. (A/N: National Rank hasn't been invented yet since Kamish hasn't appeared yet.)

That's all that has happened during the years.

"Hmm..." While Kenji was brushing his teeth, he heard a moan on his bed and saw Kanae was just about to get up but stopped when she saw him.

Kanae smiles and said, "Good morning, Ken-chan." Kenji just greeted her back before going back to the bathroom to finish brushing his teeth.

Once done, Kenji felt someone sneaking up behind him and when he knew who it was he just let her be.

"Ken-chan!! Are we gonna raid some dungeon today?!" Kanae 'surprised' hug him from behind before asking him directly to his ear.

"I don't know, but, we'll visit my parents first," Kenji said while patting her head.

It was just last year when his parents discovered his relationship that his parents asked him to live in a separate mansion with Kanae with their reason as 'You're old enough already, you don't need us anymore.' Until this day, he could still hear his mother's sob every night.

That's why he's always visiting them every day since he felt bad for his mom.

Besides, he could fly at sonic speeds, and reaching his original mansion could be done in a matter of seconds.

The moment he learned how to fly, he's been doing it almost every day, not gonna lie, flying is like drugs to him.

Oh, by the way, his father was invited to a meeting in America, California. Though he didn't know why California, he's gonna come with him as a bodyguard, and besides, he also wanted to visit America again.
