Two graduation aspiration sheets were slapped down onto the table.
The morning light was faint as it penetrated down through the conference room window.
The person responsible for Crosson Show’s public relations department, who’d been called into a meeting so early in the morning, yawned.
“Self-employment?” The program producer rapped on the table with his knuckles, “Who did the ideological counseling for our players? Contestant Wei and Contestant Mao are both pillars of talent with high strength and good appearances. Many teams are chasing after them trying to sign them. Self-employed? What kind of business are they planning to run?!”
The assistant quickly searched for more information, “According to past data, if a survival show trainee fails to start a professional career, they can become fitness coaches, outdoor survival coaches, go back to inherit their family businesses, become tour guides at natural scenic spots, male body models, night performers etc…”
The assistant flipped through the data with a whoosh, “However, the good thing is that Contestants Wei and Mao are both choosing to continue their careers in the survival show industry! During yesterday’s employment counseling, both players announced that they wanted to start from scratch and create their own team––”
There was a splash.
The program producer directly spat out his tea, “Make a team?! Do they think they’re the male leads in a novel? Is the huge investment required for a team in its early stages just blown in by the wind?”
The assistant quickly poured another glass of water for the program producer, “That’s not it, don’t look down on youth for being poor. Our Contestant Wei is 26, 27 years old, and it’s not a big deal for him to build a business. In ancient times, the great men always became famous late in their life…”
The program producer gestured.
The assistant was supressed and forced to keep quiet.
Ten in the morning.
The Floating City suspension car brought the tardy and unwitting Red and Wei Shi to the back door to the Crosson Base.
Red had just gotten out of the car and was taken by surprise when he was surrounded by a large group of crew, directors, and other staff who herded the two people towards the offices. In the program producer’s dedicated office, two mahogany doors slammed shut behind them, and Blood Pigeon, Ying Xiangxiang, and the program producer were all seated behind the long table.
Blood Pigeon gave a light cough, “Today, we’re all sitting together in the hopes that we can have a good discussion about your post graduation intentions. As we all know, the survival show is a high profit, high monopoly industry. There are many investors who enter the market every year, but only a few qualified teams…”
Wei Shi sat in the shadows, his temperament giving off a low level of pressure.
On the other hand, Red was very lively, “Director, our team application has been approved!”
Blood Pigeon hesitated, and his expression was incredulous. Fortunately, the thread of conversation was quickly picked up by Ying Xiangxiang, who maintained a benign smile on her face, “Also, the initial investment for the team should be more than 60 million credits in order for it to have a basic ability to withstand risks.”
Red was in high spirits, “A capital injection of 80 million has already been prepared! If it isn’t enough, we’ll put in more!”
The instructors and program producer: “&#k2026;&#k2026;” Weren’t these two contestants so poor that they didn’t have money to buy more camera time from the program group?! Where exactly had they gotten that investment from&#k2013;&#k2013;
Ying Xiangxiang was curious, “Who is the management team? Is it in the Federation or from the Empire?”
Wei Shi’s reply was concise, “Floating City.”
The two players left.
Ying Xiangxiang hadn’t yet come back to her senses. When she looked back, Blood Pigeon looked dignified, and the program producer looked shocked, “Xiangxiang, have you heard of the underground survival shows? It’s like the kind in the movies where life-saving capsules aren’t installed, and players are carted off for cremation when they’re eliminated!”
“That kind of thing’s home base is in Floating City! And Floating City isn’t stupid, for them to invest in Contestant Wei… Contestant Wei might be a crazy killer from the underground survival shows. I was wondering why his origins were always unclear!”
Ying Xiangxiang pointed out the window, “A crazy killer? That kind of crazy killer?”
Downstairs, Wei Shi bent over to take out his luggage from the suspension car. Wu Jin stood nearby, holding up two rabbit balls and taking advantage of Wei Shi’s inattention to put them on top of his head.
Wei Shi stood up expressionlessly.
He removed the rabbit from the top of his head and held it for Wu Jin.
“……” The program producer, “Okay then, a crazy killer, but the good kind.”
Floating City’s notoriety as the ‘killing capital’ was only known within a small circle. Besides, their Floating City had recently been transformed into a tourist city! The program producer thought about it more and finally sighed. What else could he do? For better or worse, Wei Shi was a cub that had made it through his own show and was a top trainee from Crosson.
If someone really took out Floating City’s background in order to smear Contestant Wei and make trouble, the program producer still needed to protect himself!
“When the contestant intentions are released, have the public relations department make a plan to clear up any haters in case it’s needed.”
The program producer thought of something else and paused, “The next elimination match. Isn’t that guy, the King of Hearts, also playing? Can Contestant Wei beat him?”
“Until now, Contestant Wei still hasn’t revealed his true strength, so it’s hard to say. If the King of Hearts wants to take advantage of the Crosson Show, it’s not impossible that he’ll be countered by Contestant Wei instead as he steps on the King of Hearts in order to build up momentum for his team. There’s also Wei Yan, Jingyi, and Little Thin. All of them have considerable strength.”
Ying Xiangxiang was curious, “What about Little Witch?”
“It’s hard to say.” Blood Pigeon thought it over, “Wu Jin’s competition style is different from everyone else’s. As long as there’s a logical framework for the elimination match, Little Witch will be able to benefit from it. However, if he’s fighting against the King of Hearts alone, he’s very unlikely to win.”
“However, in the next elimination match, there’s a very interesting rule.”
“Alliances.”
The Crosson Show’s twin towers.
Wu Jin sent Sister-in-law Rabbit to the big boss’s room to settle in, and also gave him a cute little female rabbit, finally cutting off the Fibonacci rabbit line from the source.
The two of them hadn’t seen each other for a day, but Wu Jin was very direct as he went to look for his socks in the big boss’s luggage.
And then, he was pasted again.
He was only half a color scale away from a full purple color.
Wu Jin pulled out his socks and touched a strange box.
Wu Jin looked down.
Healthcare supplies.
Wu Jin was shocked and tossed it away with a clatter, “!!!!”
Wei Shi lazily pressed the completely stiff Wu Jin towards the bed and tumbled him in. The warm afternoon sun slid slowly through the curtains, making the lighting seem illusory and unreal. The youth could be pressed down and held with a single hand, and it was easy to make a mark on the porcelain white cheek. Beneath the skin were thin muscles that had been built over many years of exercise, and the boy group’s main dancer’s belly was pale and tender.
A soft and fragrant little rabbit.
Wu Jin was short of breath, his head tossed back against the bed. His small round face was so heated it was practically steaming; he and Wei Shi were too close together, and Wei Shi’s straight nose poked at the most vulnerable part of his neck as he left tooth marks over the spot he’d once bitten.
Only to stop at the last step.
The man scraped his sharp teeth against the youth’s neck and the bullet that hung there. A kiss flavored with metal was slowly pressed down.
A few minutes later.
There was a scuffle with limbs everywhere in a corner of the bedroom.
Wu Jin was stupefied and stuttering, “To-to-tomorrow mo-mo-morning, there’s a competition––”
Wei Shi’s voice was hoarse as he spoke, the sound of it making Wu Jin’s legs go soft from listening, “Scared?”
Wu Jin’s eyes were round as he glared, “No, no I’m not! Who’s scared!” Then, he pretended to be strong even though his soft belly trembled and said, “I just have to learn about it first, do I have to use lubricant beforehand…”
Wei Shi narrowed his eyes, “Use lubricant?”
Wu Jin’s voice faded away, “There was lubricant in the video…”
Wei Shi’s pressure increased, and he used oppressive interrogation tactics, “Who gave you this video?”
Wu Jin: “……”
Wu Jin was scared into confessing within a second, “Ahhhhh don’t squeeze me! Don’t touch my waist, it was Caesar, it was Caesar ahhh, it was Brother Caesar!”
That evening, less than 24 hours away from the start of the Crosson Show seventh elimination match.
Instructor Blood Pigeon was surprised to find that Contestant Wei wasn’t skipping class.
Later, during the trainee fights, Caesar, who was assigned to the same team as Wei Shi, was beaten to pieces.
In the distance, Zoe expressed that he was reassured, “It’s good to check Caesar a little before the game and help stabilize his mentality. It would be great if Caesar could be ‘taken care of’ every time before he went on the court…”
20 o’clock sharp.
When the whistle sounded out, all the trainees stopped. The physical supplements they were given were transported to the twin towers in boxes. The doctors and technicians at the base performed a final pre-competition inspection, checking over the players’ physical fitness and life-saving capsules.
Wu Jin took a post-battle bath and lay on the bed so that the spa robot could massage him.
By the time Wei Shi came over to take him to sleep, Wu Jin was already drowsy, like a soft and warm little pancake.
“Sleep!” Wu Jin urged the big boss in a vague voice, “There’s a competition tomorrow, and we need to keep up our physical strength!”
