It was already morning and I was in the burial room.

I was looking at the sword for about half an hour, specifically trying to understand the strange energy I felt inside it, I was absolutely sure it wasn't mana, and when I asked Wilson and Master Lucas they just told me they didn't feel anything in it but to be careful when dealing with her because it would definitely have to do with my demonic heritage. And so, in this way...

'My only option is to discover its secrets on my own'

It's a pretty big sword, aside from its weird energy, oddly enough it's pretty light even though Wilson told me it was so heavy that only an A rank could hold it properly so they were a bit surprised that it wasn't a problem for me, my rank should be below rank D+, it's a pretty big difference.

However, I think that with this sword if I could stand up to a C or even B rank, I would have to try to check after I get used to the sword.

Thinking of that, I take the sword and stand in the center of the room.

“Training session begins”

I activated the central computer in the training room with my voice so the practice dummies would go to work.

At that moment the eyes of the 4 practice dummies in front of me lit up and in the blink of an eye, they moved to attack me with incredible speed.

Sure, with my speed being at a mind-boggling level for the range I'm supposed to be at, I could clearly see them moving in my direction, to me, it's almost like time stopped, one of the dolls would attack me from behind, the other 2 from the front and the fourth instead, kept waiting.

I quickly jumped back without turning around and elbowed the doll that was planning to attack my back, the blow was strong enough to make it crash into the wall at high speed.

Without wasting time I wielded the sword with force and just as quickly I began my attack against the 2 in front of me, the dolls were unable to react when my sword divided one of them into two parts and sent the other one flying in one direction. kick the last remaining doll.

The fourth doll barely managed to react to the doll that was approaching him like a projectile and when he was about to dodge it was when he felt the edge of my sword going through him and impaling the doll with which he hit him, not even he could see when I placed myself on his back.

Once I withdrew my sword from them, the room's alarm sounded indicating that all enemies were defeated.

Certainly, these dolls were irreparable, but I don't have to worry, Wilson told me that since he had to practice with this new sword, this result was inevitable so I shouldn't bother myself so much about it, according to him, they weren't that expensive and that he bought many for the training of the knights of his dukedom.

Well, not that I care either, all of that is nothing but troublesome.

'I guess I'll have to recalibrate the dummies to Rank D+ or C-'.

The fact that the sword was incredibly heavy for anyone other than me, makes for a very convenient combination of my strength and speed. However, I am still unable to use or manipulate the energy inside her at the moment, this may take longer than I thought.

At that moment, he heard someone enter the room, it was one of the housemaids.

"Young Rafael, the teacher has arrived, he is waiting for you in the main room"

Placing the sword on my shoulder, I nodded and replied.

"I understand, I'm going there, thanks"

Don't take long to leave the training room and dress as appropriately as possible, black pants with a red shirt with long sleeves which drag them to my arms and black sports gloves with which I usually train. Carrying the sword I nicknamed Nihila on my back I went to the main room.

By the time I got to the main room, I was met by 2 people, one was Wilson as expected, but the other person to my surprise was a young woman who looked about my age.

With golden hair, emerald green eyes, a curvy figure, a bit short compared to me, and an elegant posture. Could it be…? Wilson had told me that he had a daughter, although I never had the opportunity to see her, this is quite curious because her appearance screams that she is. I glanced at her briefly before turning back to Wilson which earned her a look back to examine me.

"Hey Uncle Wilson, it's good to see you again, sorry for the delay, I'm ready"

Hearing that, she immediately frowned as if she didn't like it at all, did I say something I shouldn't?

"Well boy, it doesn't matter, the servants had already warned me that they were in the training room, how about the sword?"

The corners of my lips lifted a bit and I responded with some enthusiasm.

"It's amazing, I haven't been able to do much with it, but with the little I've tried it, it's as if my power has increased drastically"

At that moment, the cold female voice resounded throughout the room followed by a surge of mana giving off from her trying to pressure everyone in the room.

"Dad, don't tell me that after so long you finally let yourself be fooled by a simple braggart who has no mana to top it off"

At this point, he was already looking at me contemptuously, and instinctively one of my eyebrows went up to look back at him before I turned to Wilson waiting for an answer.

Very well... I had forgotten to put on the mana ring, but it was simply because I didn't expect someone strange to be here besides Wilson and the household servants, besides... What is your problem? and why the hell is he here? but before he could say anything.

“Veronica darling, he is not one of those suitors from those noble houses, I had given you my word that your engagement would be decided with your consent, otherwise remember that the condition for allowing you to go dungeon-cleaning with your friends was that someone chosen by me will accompany you, well, he is Rafael and he is the one who will follow you in the dungeons”

At that moment a look of disbelief appeared on his face alternating between his father and me.

"That potato! He doesn't even have mana, how is he supposed to fight? More than helping, he can cause us problems. I already told you that my friends are quite strong and have already done some dungeons, we can do it alone, even Nick has already risen to E rank. - a few weeks ago which puts him on a par with me, besides, you haven't explained why he acts so familiar with you"

I couldn't help but laugh in my mind when I heard his daughter's ridiculous complaints, it seems that Uncle Wilson has a tough role as a father, however, now I understand where all this is going and I thought.

'So Wilson had already planned to throw me into the eye of the storm thinking he could kill two birds with one stone'

From one moment to another he approached me with an intimidating look.

"If you want to accompany me then I challenge you to a duel, and if you manage to show me that you will not be a dead weight, I will let you accompany me"

“I refuse”

Without hesitation and almost instantly I replied, which made her expression change a couple of times in an amusing way, by the way, now that I see her up close she's quite pretty, I'm not surprised she has a lot of dogs behind her, I'm sure that maybe Nick is also one of those.

Trying not to let out a laugh, suddenly the atmosphere tensed, yes... it's not new to me, that pressure is what Wilson exerts with his SS rank mana, and at that moment, the girl's skin face turned pale.

"My daughter, Rafael does not know anything more than what is inside this house and what he sees on the internet, Master Lucas and I consider that it is already necessary for him to have real experience in combat, in this way, he will go to acquire experience in the dungeons and not only I am guaranteeing it, unlike you that depends exclusively on my decision”

He took a moment to sigh, I stood on the sidelines without saying a word being serious.

"On the other hand, I understand that you feel confused by the fact that he doesn't have mana, but the reason is that he doesn't need it, I have supervised him and given him training that not many surpass for more than 8 years. He started training, I know his abilities first-hand and that is why I can trust that you will not be in any danger if he is around"

At this point, all her mana had dissipated, returning everything to normal, although the girl had an uncomfortable look, she is like a scolded child.

"And of course, unlike your friends, I understand and recognize that they have potential, especially Nick who has not even dared to present himself to me, but that they are capable does not mean that they are worthy of my trust, for this reason, is that you let him accompany you or you tell me to send you home, but you are not going to waste my time with child duels"

Having said that, she headed to the door but not before beckoning me to come closer, I briefly looked at the girl who was biting her lips and shrugged my shoulders before going to Wilson with my back to the girl.

After that, Wilson apologized to me and briefly explained the situation.
