"... Can you explain what you did today?" Mark asked.
Luke nodded and explained everything. While the fact that Danielle was thinking that everything was just a game was troublesome, what surprised Mark was the fact that his son was crossing countries in a single day as if that was something easy to do. In any case, he will have to warn everyone about the things they say in front of her… eventually, she will understand things on her own. Things got a bit complicated because of that kid, but something like that was bound to happen. People deal with stressful situations in different ways, after all.
"And what about the master stuff?" Mark asked.
"She is just a kid… and since she wants to become stronger, she decided to call me that, I am surprised as you," Luke said. "Since I can do things she can't, she thinks that teache those things easily to her."
"I am glad that you haven't become cold enough to abandon a child in such a place," Mark said. "Still, you should be more careful with the places you go… moving without permission in times like these will bring you a lot of trouble."
Luke wondered who he should ask permission… still, he got the message, even if the old society was done for, some people might still hold some power and they would cause problems.
In the end, Danielle behaved strangely well while she was being introduced to everyone in the town. She still was a bit arrogant, but after seeing so many survivors, she realized that her survival wasn't that amazing. Speaking of town, many houses had been cleared, even those which had no people using them, so Danielle could use any of those, but Julia told her that she could in theirs… Luke also had planned to live in his own house, even though he was only going to use it to sleep, but when he told that to his mom, she made a sad expression and then he gave up… Life is rough.
While checking his status, Luke couldn't wait for midnight. He had a lot of coins and he was crossing his fingers hoping that he would get other skills like Meditation. After waiting patiently, the shop opened and Luke checked the newest tier session of skills…

Vigor

+01SP = 1000 SP sacrificed.

Luke raised his arms and celebrated, while he could only buy one of those, it was fine. In fact, he was thankful that they cost the same amount of gold coins… from his perspective, increasing HP was a priority. However, after thinking for a while, having high SP could grant him the chance to avoid any unpleasant situations. It might even give him the power to keep fighting for longer periods of time while keeping a high performance.
In the end, Luke decided to learn Iron Heart. There were many situations where he almost died due to his recklessness or due to the difficulty of the situation. So, it was better to prevent those. Without wasting any time, Luke began to use the skill, but since he didn't have all the HP necessary to reach it in one go, he did it in three parts. Moreover, while he didn't feel pain while sacrificing his HP, he felt extremely weak… by using one-third of his HP, he felt like he had skipped his meals and didn't drink water for a day. He thought that using that skill would be way simpler… but he was wrong. He couldn't use it in one go. He had to use it little by little.
"The effects of the skill will be hard to deal with, but I guess they can be countered if I use them before the meals," Luke nodded to himself. "Do you know why things are like this?"
"Maybe it is because to force your HP to increase, your body has to suffer a certain amount of strain," Rina explained.
That seemed logical, still, while Luke Didn't have to sacrifice time like he does when he used Meditation, he had to sacrifice some of his condition. That being said, he was certain that those effects would decrease the more his HP increases… naturally, the skill would level up, and the cost would increase… it seemed he would stay in that kind of loop for a while.
In any case, that very night, Luke managed to use the skill and increase his HP by one point, but the skill didn't level up… Although the rank of the skill was ordinary, it seemed that even some of those would take a while to level up. After that, Luke decided to get some sleep and he woke up the next day not thanks to the sunlight, but due to the fact that Artiuno's egg was cracking…
