Leaving the base again without doing anything didn't seem like the best of ideas. Luke thought of using his skeletons… while he didn't have a single one on Earth, he could raise them easily. However, doing more than he already was doing by leaving his pets behind seemed counterproductive. Unless the Sahuagins appear and cause some deaths, he shouldn't interfere that much.
"Leave it to us, Luke," Mark said. "Go and help your friends. The people here can already protect themselves."
"I am sorry for intruding, but is everything all right back home?" Luthi asked.
"Yes, we are currently working to make everyone stay in a single place," Rina replied. "Your father is doing well, and he is glad for your hard work."
"I see… I am thankful," Luthi said. "We should be able to go and help in ten days, Your Majesty."
"Your Majesty?" Mark asked while frowning.
"Long story short, Rina has many fans on her home planet, and they call her their queen," Luke replied. "Regardless, ten days… we should have gathered everyone from the northern lands by them."
"Why don't you bring some of us to the other side?" Richter asked. "The more hands to help, the better, right?"
"You should ask more about it to your partner… things aren't that simple," Luke sighed.
Instead of going for the sake of helping, it was clear that Richter wanted to fight as much as possible and not get behind Luke. Nevertheless, Luke wished that he could be that carefree… still. It was something good that Richter had so few worries that he could afford to think like that.
"Well, that is all, folks," Luke said. "I will return in a few days if the situation on the other side doesn't get complicated or anything."
"If something happens, will you truly inform us?" Mark asked.
"It will depend. I will act with the goal in mind not to look lame," Luke said.
"I expect nothing less," Mark said and then facepalmed.
Luke returned to the house and then noticed that he was being followed. Amanda, Celia, Richter, and some other fools wanted to see how the spell worked… as if they could replicate it that easily. After a long sigh, Luke nodded to Rina, and then they returned.
Although they left for only one hour, when Luke and the others returned, they saw that the elves still were training hard. Considering the wounds in their bodies, it was clear that they weren't slacking off. Still, it wasn't a sight for Luke's sore eyes to see shirtless elf men. As for the women, they made sure to keep some clothes.
"You look disappointed…" Rina said while she furrowed her eyebrows.
"It is your imagination," Luke said and then prepared his things to travel again to the northern lands.
"Luke, I have been keeping quiet about this, but I should warn you, this approach won't work on my home planet," Shalia said. "Instead of working to help everyone here, you should strive to become the strongest and rule using your strength. Can you promise me that you will do that?"
"I was wondering what had happened to your sarcasm while we were working… so you were thinking about that, huh," Rina frowned.
"Won't be a problem for someone of another planet to rule the dark elves?" Luke asked. "If that is how you want to do things there, I won't mind, but ruling over others seem like a pain in the ass. Even more so if they think that I am not fit. By the way, don't you guys have a royal family or something?"
"No… the strong rule over the weak," Shalia replied. "Those who have power become our leaders. Trying to befriend everyone won't work since everyone wants to stand at the top. It won't be that difficult as long as you prove yourself to be ruthless toward those that might challenge you and reward your followers according to their merits."
In theory, that made sense, and it was a pretty nice way to be a king. Everyone can be… you just need enough power and the will to wield it when necessary. However, the reality is much harsher… Luke could be ruthless when necessary, but be that all the time? He wasn't so sure he could endure such a life filled with that much blood.
"Well… let's see what we can do when that time comes," Luke said. "I can't promise you anything, but you helped me no less than Rina, so I will definitely help you create a world the way you envision."
"That is enough for me," Shalia said.
After finishing their preparations, Rina put Luthor in charge of things. While he wasn't much of a warrior like others due to his age, he had a good head to understand what was necessary for their group. By putting someone in charge, they would make sure that the other elves wouldn't slack off as well…
Before leaving, Luke checked his status. If things go well, once they return in a week or so, he will have enough coins to buy a tier ten skill book.. Luke prayed that he wouldn't find something better than necromancy because he wanted to learn and level up that skill first and foremost. Still, he would welcome it if something even better appeared…
