Luke explained to them what happened in the last few days, and they had a hard time believing that the moving fortress could also work as spaceships… that was just too surreal. It was quite funny to see them react like that when they now had the strength to knock down cars with a single kick. Nevertheless, they needed that kind of ability, it was beyond them right now, though. The reason was unknown.
In any case, Luke confirmed that everyone leveled up at least ten times. His friends were already above level 120… he didn't notice their progress even though some of his skeletons were helping them. Also, they found the location of three crystals, and for whatever reason, those crystals were spawning monsters rather regularly… there was no point in doing that when their monsters were basically not making any progress in taking over the area… that was another mystery that Luke would have to find an answer to someday.
"For the time being, we can't take many with us," Luke said. "So, the elves will keep hunting for another week, we should be able to gather good equipment for everyone with them. As for you guys… I suppose if Celia and Amanda work together, you can snipe the monsters from behind. I don't know much about Rachel's abilities, but I am pretty sure Richter isn't suited for that kind of plan."
"What makes you think that you know my abilities?" Richter asked. "Attack enemies from behind isn't something that I would like to do, but I have more than enough means to do so."
In the next moment, when Luke blinked, Richter disappeared, and then Luke immediately turned around and saw him. He had seen with his peripheral vision a shadow moving on the ground. It was probably one of the powers of that shadow… in any case. It seemed that Richter was the one who was most suited to sneaky attacks.
"I guess you can go and your sister will offer you some support," Luke said.
"Hey, Luke," Rina said. "Wouldn't be better if we split in two groups instead of three? That way, we can attack equally both sides on a battlefield, decrease the forces of the enemies and get even more of their loot."
"I guess they won't find anything weird if both sides suddenly lose more pawns… or maybe they will," Luke said. "I suppose it is worth a try. I want to attack each army at least two times and then we will have enough equipment for everyone. Once that happens… it is time to strike back."
Luke wasn't so sure if it wasn't, enemies would let things go as he planned, but as long as he acts fast and taunt the overlords one at a time, they probably will try to fight him instead of calling the others for help. While they were working together, they wouldn't do things like that would weaken their position or show any sign of weakness.
In any case, Luke decided to wait until the next day before departing. While the ice castle was useful, it was a bit of pain to use every day. There was also the matter of mana...
That night, when Luke checked the shop, he noticed a certain item in the accessories section. It was a stone called the full shop.
It grants you the power to use the shop and sell items as long as you have this stone.
That was weird… why did he have to buy a new feature of the shop? If Luke could sell items at the same price they cost in the shop, he bet that he could make a lot of money pretty soon, but he doubted that things would be easy. Regardless, he learned why the overlords wanted the items… in any case, instead of buying it now, he decided to wait for a while longer. The tier ten of accessories certainly will be even more useful.
The following day, the group proceeded to head to the second battlefield, and they confirmed that nothing was wrong with that. The overlords weren't wary of what happened a few days ago anymore.
"To make things more balanced, you guys will be part of a group and Rina, Shalia and I will be part of the other," Luke said. "You must have some experience in fighting alongside each other, so use that to help."
"Why does everything you say end up being so…" Amanda said and then sighed.
"Maybe we should determine a certain number of monsters that we should hunt, that way, we will effect the battlefield all that much," Celia said
"You have a point, but staying too long by trying to kill a large number of monsters might cause problems," Luke said. "Let's just kill two hundred each and then retreat with half of the loot. Don't be greedy and try to get more."
Celia, Amanda, and Rachel seemed like the type who wouldn't mess up the plan by letting their greed control them. However, Richter was another matter. His competitiveness was a problem… In any case, even if he messes up, it won't matter. It will only happen once, and Luke will kick him back to Earth.
Since the chimeras didn't have to turn around to attack, Luke's group would deal with them while Amanda's group would deal with the arachnids warriors. Although they seemed ready, they gulped when they saw the spiders with four arms firing Sonic Blades. Those were even stronger than Luke's, so they probably could split a car in two instantly.
In any case, when the groups separated. Luke had an idea… wouldn't it be better if he got the swords of the fallen arachnids? Even if they were weak, they still could be used to spam weapons Augmentation… after making a mental note to ask the other group to gather some of those every time, Luke attacked the chimeras from behind, and he soon had a pleasant surprise....
