Amanda's group made another trip back home to tell the others what had happened. It was about time for Luke to go as well, but he decided to do it when the nasty scar in his chest disappeared. Magic couldn't do everything. Not even the reinvigorating effects of the level-ups could do either. Still, Rina was healing him whenever possible to make that.
"I am quite muscular now, huh?" Luke said while Rina was decreasing the size of the scar, he noticed that he had some nice abs.
"Wow, saying that out loud sounds so lame…" Rina said. "What did you expect? You have been fighting quite often recently."
That made sense. Compared to his previous lifestyle, it was only natural that Luke would get physically stronger. It was only a pity that it didn't happen sooner. Unfortunately, the increase in his status didn't make his muscles bigger.
In any case, while they waited for Cresta to return, Luke decided to spread and create more skeletons in the Northern lands. Luke got quite curious to see the shape of the continents of that world, but Rina said that they didn't have the habit of making maps and that they only lived in that central area. He finished the job in a single day, and since all the elves were going to help, on the next battle, Luke smirked while imagining that he was going to monopolize the experience and gold coins of many crystals.
"You really should do something about that smile…" Rina said.
That was Luke's evil smile, so it couldn't be helped. In any case, Luke waited until night, and then he checked the accessories section of the shop again since he had more than half-million gold coins, and much to his surprise, now he could buy an upgrade stone with that amount.
"It is a bit expensive, but everyone can upgrade their skills…" Luke nodded to himself. "It would be nice if we could do the same with items."
"Let's ask Cresta next time we see her," Rina said.
Luke nodded, and then she returned the following day as promised. In any case, Amanda and the others were back, and he was surprised that his parents didn't come. They had some diplomatic skills, so he thought they would like to make a connection with them.
"It would be better to take only a few of you. The fewer, the better," Cresta said. "Based on your status, I guess this group would be the ideal."
"Why only a small group?" Amanda asked.
"There are people out there that can brainwash others to collect information. It would be troublesome if information about us were to spread across the universe," Cresta explained.
Speaking of status, Luke compared himself to the others and frowned when everyone already had Meditation. Richter actually already had Iron Heart, but then his status went to the interrogation marks again… it seemed that the shadow didn't expect that Luke would use Appraisal on him. Either way, he didn't keep the spell on all the time for some reason.
"I suppose it is fine," Luke said while looking at Rina, Shalia, Richter, Rachel, Amanda, Celia, and Luthi.
"Also, while they were completely opposed to this, two of us didn't like the idea I gave," Cresta said.
"It is about the resources, huh," Luke said.
"That is right. It is hard to come across to them before someone else claims them," Cresta nodded. "So, some of us are more desperate the others for those. However, the rest of us know that we can't stay here forever."
They were working together, but it didn't mean that they agreed with each other on every single thing. Nevertheless, the group went aboard on Cresta's moving fortress, and then they saw many people working there. All of them resemble humans, but they also have some Animalistic characteristics like tails and ears. Still, Luke didn't find lizardmen-level beings. The people from Cresta's world are more like humans than beasts in terms of appearance.
Those people were working producing or repairing weapons, making food, and giving to the chimeras, tending their wounds with healing magic as well. Her moving fortress was like ten kilometers long and five wide. So more than a few thousand people and monsters were there.
"I am not criticizing you, but your people don't fight?" Amanda asked.
"Only half of my people are here. The other half is fighting somewhere else," Cresta explained. "While using them would make the fights end faster, it would be a waste since the enemies wouldn't use their best soldiers anytime soon."
Luke frowned when he heard that. He was pretty sure that the overlord he defeated didn't have another force of soldiers… or his moving fortress was empty, after all. Or maybe he had and left them in another world… that would make more sense. That guy underestimated Luke through and through, after all. Nevertheless, once they finished talking, the moving fortress went upward, and then a barrier of mana appeared.. Soon after, they were in outer space.
