In the end, Luke didn't buy anything. Instead of buying something in a rush that he wasn't used to, it would be better to use the things that he was used to. Besides, if Nambra's spheres could really do what she said they could, Luke had some ideas on how to put them to good use… he only needed some faith in her, and it would take a while to develop it. Regardless, he decided to check his status and while his growth speed looked pretty good, he was a bit unsatisfied. Still, they were a lot more balanced than before, when his strength was like seven times his endurance.
Luke liked the effects of Focus, but he was starting to think that he was falling behind in other parameters because of that. So, he decided to stop increasing it for a while. In any case, it didn't take long for Luke to find the main building of the fortress. While the others looked pretty standard considering the usual shapes of the fortress, that way emitted a weird aura.
When they entered the place, they found dozens of creatures surrounding the red crystal and a dark-haired woman who had quite the grim look in her eyes. It was weird for Luke to pay attention to that, but how come lately he has been fighting quite the sexy females? The necromancer was tall and quite thin, but despite her dark cloak and clothes, Luke could tell that she could be quite the top model… exquisite too, since she had pointy dark ears and bat-like wings on her back.
As for the other creatures around her, they were wearing a dark armor and swords that seemed pretty similar to Richter's equipment, but theirs it was more obvious that it was made of shadow or something since the borders were moving like it was alive.
That was bad… Luke just learned what Necromancy would grant him once he makes the skill reach the next level of rarity. The power to summon death knights… they not only were a lot stronger than the usual skeleton knights, but they also had some troublesome skills as well, and their numbers were over one hundred. Despite that, their master didn't give them the order to attack. She was being cautious of Luke… or maybe Nambra, who was probably above level four hundred.
"We won't reach her without dealing with the skeletons first," Nambra said. "If the idea of receiving my support to boost your parameters is unacceptable, then at least the elemental ones. They consume my mana but I will stay behind to recover it."
It didn't seem like Nambra had other tricks aside from those two. That seemed about right… it would be weird if she had too many skills that could be useful in that situation. Nevertheless, Luke nodded, and then the elemental spheres passed to his side, and he waited for the moments that those would attack him, but they never did it.
Nambra raised her Mana Shield and then sat down to meditate. Once that happened, Luke dashed toward the necromancer, but ten skeletons knights appeared to block his path. He used Stinger, and then his strike sent the creature flying but soon stopped after hitting another death knight. One of his best skills at full power only made the monster lose one-third of its health. At the same time, the creature was hit by Flamethrower, Ice Lance, and Lightning Bolt. Making it lose more than twenty percent…
"This will take a while…" Luke thought and then saw some shadow swords appearing around several enemies.
The enemies didn't fire those as soon as possible. They fixed their angle… all of them. Luke realized that they were aiming at him, but if he dodged, the projectiles would hit Nambra. Even though she had her shield, he assumed that it wouldn't be enough. Luke prepared to swing his ax, but Shalia had other plans.
"Jump back!" Shalia said.
Luke obeyed out of reflex, and then Shalia created several ice walls.. When those were hit, they quickly sank to the ground and then shattered into pieces… those swords had the power of gravity… Luke couldn't let his weapon touch those.
