When Luke finished dealing with the fat zombies, the fire zombies had disappeared in the horde that was moving toward him. For a second, Luke flinched since he had never fought against so many zombies at once. Still, he came exactly to do that, so he couldn't back down now.
"Secret technique… beyblade attack!" Luke said and then began to spin while holding his two swords.
In a rather unsightly way, Luke began to cut the heads of the zombies. If it were a real skill, it probably wouldn't look that bad… but Luke still was killing the zombies without giving them the chance to reach him.

When Luke was starting to get dizzy, he heard the sound of a Fireball being shot. He lowered his Posture and then dodged the projectile. However, that gave a chance to the other zombies to approach him while climbing the bodies of the dead zombies around. However, before they could touch him, Luke used Stinger in their opposite direction and escaped the encirclement.
Luke wanted to get more experience fighting hordes, but it would be a waste not to use his mana. So, he decreased the number of zombies even more by using Spark Ball over and over again. After seeing dozens of zombies falling, and potions appearing, Luke confirmed that hunting zombies truly was the way to goal. However, once one gets used to fighting many of them, the level of difficulty decreases. Putting status and items aside, gaining combat experience in harsh life and death situations was probably the best method to strengthen the body and the soul of someone. Thanks to that, Luke couldn't help but wonder if the system had some suspicious features or was it really balanced, considering that even zombies could become stronger and evolve.
"Hey, you," Shalia said. "Why don't you buff his intelligence to make his magic attacks more effective?"
"My name is no hey you…" Rina frowned. "While I can do that, Luke won't get more combat experience, just leveling up and getting physically stronger isn't the answer for everything."
"Wakanda nonsense is that…" Shalia said. "Who cares about that? Even if one is inexperienced, as long as they have true power, they can defeat anyone."
Rina and Shalia began to argue. Again, they took one of the worst times and places to do so. They made Luke realize the true sides of his way of thinking… again as well. Thanks to that, Luke realized that finding balance on that was also very important.
Luke planned to use his stupid spinning attack again, but he noticed that his arms were starting to feel heavier. It was a bit too soon for that, but then he realized that he had been holding two heavy swords with each hand for a while. No wonder that happened…
In the end, Luke put away his broadsword and then held his frozen claymore with both hands. Using the fake Beyblade attack might be useful against zombies. Still, Luke didn't feel like showing his back to the enemies so many times in a row, so he changed his strategy a little bit. While holding his sword with both hands above his right shoulder, Luke dashed toward the enemy when he found an opening in the horde. Thanks to that, his sword cut the heads of four of them before the enemies could react and try to surround him. Luke turned around and used Stinger, and this time the skill not only granted him the speed to escape nearly instantly, but he also killed five enemies on his path.
For whatever reason, Shalia created a saw of ice and made it spin before firing toward the zombies. While he was making an expression as if she was bored out of her mind, she killed five zombies with ease.
"You told us that you would rely on us, but you are not giving us the chance to do anything," Shalia said. "What happened to the plan of attacking the zombies without caring about defense?"
"I guess that is easier said than done… down on an instinctual level, I can't let the zombies get too close," Luke explained.
Luke didn't want to admit it, but he still had doubts regarding Rina and Shalia. Considering that a single mistake is all that he needs to become infected and thus a zombie, he needs to be extra careful with his trust. Still, considering that he gained experience and coins when Rina and Shalia killed enemies, it seemed like he was being overly cautious. Maybe that agreement that they had really had some actual effects on the real world.
"I suppose it can't be helped…" Shalia said and then used her mana to create more of the ice saw and killed more zombies. "I respect your lack of trust, so I can only help this way for the time being."
"No… Let's see," Luke said and then began to move away from the horde of zombies. "Freeze the zombies hands with your ice magic, by doing that, you can prevent me from being grabbed. Their hands are their most troublesome parts, after all."
"What about me?" Rina asked.
"You can just stay out of the way and being useless like usual," Shalia replied.
"... You can be more navigator and warn me when an enemy approaches and I am not aware of it," Luke said. "If you can use defensive spells… I guess buffs are better."
Against zombies, buffs would be better. Using mana on defensive spells against attacks of their level seemed like a waste, after all. While her skills showed that she was used to the support role, Rina didn't look that pleased in letting Shalia take the spotlight. Nevertheless, she didn't have time to complain because the zombies finally caught up with them.
"... I will silently do my part, until I am able to recover my powers and do more than I can do right now," Rina said and then buffed Luke's speed.
