Chapter 741: Venomous Scheme

Boom! BOOM!

The violent blows were each stronger than the last!

The outer walls of Mu Clan’s branch were battered so much that they were heavily damaged. The holes started cracking rapidly, and the wall looked like it was covered in countless spider’s webs.

The deepest holes had already penetrated through the wall, and the people outside could see the light shining through them.

‘We’re almost there…’

The other people stayed put in their battle formations while they depleted Mu Clan’s arrows at a small scale and watched the swaying wall anxiously. They were ready to fight!

Blood Robes still had not put on his battle robes. He stood at a high spot and commanded his best group of men by issuing all sorts of orders.

“Archers, get ready!

“People from First Branch, once the wall collapses, immediately receive our brothers from Hercules Branch and break through with force!”

The people who heard him said nothing.

Towering Palace was in charge of a few regions. Clear Music and the others stared at Hercules Branch’s progress excitedly, and there was delight as well as an eagerness for murder on their faces.

“Those Mu Clan bastards sure are tolerant!”

“That’s right. Once the wall breaks, I’d like to see what they’ll do.”

Towering Palace’s elders were confident. Behind them were Towering Palace members from all of Yangzhou City. A few hundred thousand people controlled all the city gates along with a few main streets as well as multiple Guanlin Temples. Once the war started, the whole place would be controlled by Towering Palace.

However, Shangguan Lian, Hai Dongqing, and the others were still gloomy. They felt a little uneasy.

Aside from firing one arrow in response to Class One Hall breaking their wall in such a flashy manner, Mu Clan reacted with incredible composure and calmness.

No zither sounds had ever appeared.

More than ten minutes passed, but the people still did not move. They were so calm that it was terrifying!

If it were any other sect, they might not be bothered, but they were surrounding the strongest sect in the Chinese server, and within it were their best.

Many of the aces from different branches of Mu Clan had gathered in this spot, and their power was incredibly terrifying.

Even if the two sects managed to break through forcefully, Mu Clan possessed a frightening strength that would not allow Class One Hall and Towering Palace to gain the upperhand within a short period of time. If anyone told them that Mu Clan could be captured easily, they would not believe it.

At the very least, Shangguan Lian would not believe it.

‘But a pity…’

He turned his head around and cast a glance at Clear Music.

Ever since the start of the battle, she had enjoyed the feeling of watching everything from above. It was as if in her eyes, the people in Mu Clan’s branch were already dead after being surrounded by Towering Palace’s army.

It seemed to be the case with hundreds of thousands going up against only thousands.

But would reality truly allow them such a smooth victory?

Shangguan Lian was filled with uneasiness. He stared at Mu Clan’s branch, which was still as quiet as water and did not make a single sound. He felt that what was contained inside was actually a huge beast that was accumulating its strength for an attack.

Class One Hall’s action of breaking the wall might allow them to personally see the great beast and get close to it, but they were also breaking the wall that kept the huge beast contained…

Boom!

Loud rumbles were heard.

A large piece of the wall on Chen Ping’s side broke!

Light shone through the wall that had broken and collapsed. The people from Class One Hall cheered, but the next moment, fierce and powerful sounds of air being sliced could be heard.

The people outside could only see a violent arrow shower come at them.

Chen Ping, along with two of the powerful men near him, did not even have the time to put down the huge hammers in their hands and dodge the arrows that came charging at their faces.

Thud!

They were struck with dozens of arrows, and all three fell on the ground.

When Chen Ping and the other two fell dead on the ground, Blood Robes’ smile froze on his face. He gritted his teeth and ordered the powerful men by the outer wall to continue with their task.

Chen Ping had only managed to open a small gap on the outer wall. It was only enough to fit two people at the same time, which was not enough to launch their attack!

Another two gaps were opened one after another.

The sound of the wall collapsing was accompanied by howling arrows. The people who broke the walls were never able to dodge the arrows which had been accumulating strength for a time. All of the men were struck down

Through the gaps, the people from Class One Hall could already see Mu Clan elites standing close together in rows. They wore great equipment and possessed extraordinary presence.

Most of them had third-echelon equipment, and quite a number of them had fourth-echelon masterpieces. There were also plenty of them who had a full set of fourth-echelon equipment. All of these stood at the forefront of the battle formation like a wall that would not collapse!

A lot of people, including Blood Robes, sucked in a sharp breath.

The fourth-echelon equipment the first line wore were all grade one masterpieces that were famous for their defensive properties and nothing else. They were pure defensive armor which offered a defense of more than 2,500 at the fourth echelon, while the whole set was near 3,000 points.

With people at the forefront blocking the damage from the upcoming arrows, it was no wonder why Mu Clan’s formation had never suffered any damage. Aside from dealing some damage with Life and Death Realm bow techniques, Class One Hall and Towering Palace had no way to break their line of defense.

The arrows were of little to no threat to the archers behind the human wall!

Blood Robes quickly made an assessment in his heart. The situation was different from the first time when he fought against Happy’s sect. Mu Clan was no longer a clan that relied on Happy’s fame to stand tall in the Chinese world of martial artists. Mu Clan had already built up its own foundation through the series of events such as the fifty billion plan and competition for the top one hundred.

Mu Clan had developed to a point where they could fight against Class One Hall in all aspects. In fact, they were even showing signs that they could win over them.

But they were in Yangzhou right now, where Towering Palace’s headquarters were!

If they worked together and remained fully determined in their goal to destroy Mu Clan, Blood Robes believed that as long as nothing unexpected happened, with the people from two top-class sects and the mysterious elites who had once ambushed Mu Clan’s branch, it would be difficult for Mu Clan to escape their disaster.

But through the tiny holes, they could only see a small part of Mu Clan’s branch.

Blood Robes had still not seen Mu Clan’s true aces.

As the holes in the wall connected, the outer wall finally collapsed to the point where a gap that was sixty-five feet long opened up.

Boom!

A loud bang rose, and the broken tiles as well as crumbled bits of the wall fell to the ground. The situation inside Mu Clan was now completely revealed to Class One Hall!

Upon seeing it, everyone fell into an abnormal silence!

The people from Mu Clan were also silent, just like wild beasts. Only the sounds of bowstrings being drawn to their limit could be heard. Everyone stared at the black mass of people under the light outside the branch without daring to even breathe.

“Heh…”

A smirk finally appeared on Blood Robes’ lips. He tilted his gaze forty-five degrees upward to cast a glance at the group of people on the roof of the branch, and without even turning his head around, he gave an order to his brothers behind him. “Release Five Venoms.”

The Class One Hall members shuddered, but they did not dare to be negligent. “Understood!”

A group of people quickly appeared in front of the formation, and they brought out pots in their hands.

For a period of time, the ghastly cold wind was tainted by a foul stench, and it was accompanied by snake hisses that soon spread through every corner outside Mu Clan’s branch.

When everyone in Mu Clan narrowed their eyes, a dense wave of venomous snakes, insects, centipedes, scorpions, and some strange looking flying insects either flew or crawled out with buzzing sounds. They were a black stream that swiftly spread out and charged toward Mu Clan’s branch.
