Chapter 85: 81

Sometime later, Yukan and his students reached their destination and started with their mission.

Yukan's main objective in coming on this mission was to fight and kill Madara once and for all before his "PLAN" even started.

This would help him have a safe life and more than him, he wanted a peaceful life for his family.

"So, are the instructions clear to you three?" Yukan asked looking at his students.

"Yes, sensei, we're good," Kakashi said. He stepped back and checked his pouch for the kunai and all the necessities he may need.

"Thank you, sensei," Rin said.

Yukan smiled and patted her head once before she too stepped back and went to Kakashi.

"*sigh* I'll go there too. Don't worry about us, sensei. I'll make sure that those two stay alive." Obito said.

"Yeah, you stay alive too. That's the only reason I came." Yukan mumbled.

"You said something, sensei?" Obito asked.

"Nope, definitely not," Yukan said.

He then walked to Kakashi and Rin and said loudly, "Alright, all the best to you three. Stay alive, we'll meet again soon."

As soon as Yukan said that, he jumped to a tree and then disappeared from the location.

-At an underground cave, Somewhere nearby Yukan-

"Madara-Sama, Yukan Norio has been closing into our location. What shall I do?" Zetsu asked.

"Lead him here. I shall meet him personally now." Madara said with his emotionless voice as always.

Zetsu bowed and left the cave, heading towards Yukan.

It took Zetsu only a few minutes before he reached where Yukan was.

"Hah! Why are these people coming again and again?" Yukan said as he pulled out his sword from a corpse.

"Hmm, wait. Why are they all coming one by one and not all at once? It's as if... they are leading me somewhere." Yukan said.

As he was saying this, another ninja hidden in the trees jumped out and attacked Yukan.

Yukan caught the sword the ninja was swinging, aiming to injure him.

"Hmm, a woman?" Yukan said as he looked at the ninja's face.

"...Whatever. We're equal." Yukan said as he looked the woman in her eyes with no feeling and cut the woman's neck using a normal kunai.

"She came...from there. So, I'll also head..." Yukan said as he ran in the same direction from where the female ninja came from.

"He is not too bad. It won't be bad having him," Zetsu said as he came up from the ground like a plant.

A few minutes later, Yukan reached the entrance of the cave and could feel some chakra inside the cave.

Yukan took out his sword, put up his multilayer barrier and walked inside the cave.

He walked through the cave of stones with absolutely no light and water dripping down from the small cracks.

'This one isn't safe' Yukan said in his mind as he continued walking.

The only reason he was able to walk so easily was because of the skill [Chakra sense] which helped him map out the whole area.

Yukan finally reached a large area with ample light entering from the top.

"Welcome, Yukan Norio." A strong but cold voice came from a small distance from Yukan.

As soon as Yukan's eyes adjusted the bright light once again, he saw Madara in his red battle armour.

He had the same terrifying pressure as he always had. He looked all the same but was just old now.

Madara said nothing, stood up and closed his eyes. The ten-tails husk behind him slowly got deader and more wrinkles appeared on it as the wrinkles on Madara's face reduced. His posture slowly straightened as he overall looked younger.

'Hmm, did he just absorb some life force from the ten-tails? He still looks pretty old.' Yukan thought as he started walking in Madara's direction.

"Who are you?" Yukan asked. He did not want anyone, not even someone who is soon going to drop dead, to know that he is not from this world.

"I am the Ghost of Uchiha, Uchiha Madara." Madara answered.

As soon as Madara said this, Yukan leapt in the air and tried to cut Madara's body in one go.

Madara quickly raised his sword and blocked Yukan's sword but ended up getting pushed back a little.

Madara raised his leg off the ground and kicked Yukan in his stomach, giving Madara some time to regain balance.

"I shall sa-" As Madara was speaking, Yukan once again came forward but this time, he tried to kick Madara's shoulder from the left side.

Madara raised both his hands and stopped Yukan's kick. He also caught his ankle.

Yukan laughed as he lifted his second foot off the ground and kicked Madara's face.

"That was har-" Before Madara could complete, Yukan kicked Madara's face, making Madara fall again.

By now, there was some blood dripping down from Madara's nose and mouth.

"Haha, why not use all your strength?" Madara asked as he laughed.

"You'll die quick," Yukan said as he clenched his fists and now tried to punch Madara.

Madara made a maniacal smile as he easily caught Yukan's fist and said," You see, I've fought for more years than you have lived for."

Madara pulled Yukan using his fist and used all his strength to punch Yukan's ribs.

Yukan fell to the ground with his back down.

"Now, you shall be down for a little whi-" As Madara was saying, Yukan stood up and moved his neck a little.

"I could almost feel that one. Nice. This, this is the only reason I didn't kill you quickly. It has been too long since I had a good fight." Yukan said as he stood there, unfazed while looking at Madara. His face and expression had a faint touch of lust for a fight.

Madara was confused and speechless for a few moments.

"Why shall you attack me like this?" Madara asked.

"Since you said that you are Uchiha Madara, someone who betrayed Konoha a lot of years ago, I, Yukan Norio, as a responsible ninja of Konoha, shall kill you."
