Chapter 92: 88

Kozuki looked at the roaring, raging Kurama waving his gigantic paws, destroying all the trees and land around it. Kozuki made a sigh of relief looking at Kurama destroying everything.

"So, will it be taking my life or saving your wife?" Kozuki asked looking at Yukan and Minato standing in front of him.

"..." Yukan disappeared from the scene without breaking the focus of his eyes from Kurama.

"Heyyy, it's not safe alone. Hey-" Minato was once again, not listened to as Yukan disappeared before Minato could complete.

"Haha, so now, what are you going to-" Kozuki was mockingly questioning Minato but, he really did not realize how fast Minato could be.

Minato appeared behind Kozuki and kicked Kozuki on his back.

'System, what if I accidentally kill Kurama? How long till he would revive?' Yukan asked the system as he ran towards Kurama at an astonishingly high speed.

[Worry not, Host, you cannot do it]

'What?'

[I mean, you cannot kill Kurama ACCIDENTALLY. It's a real monster]

'Alright, hmm, next question, are you going to protect my soul no matter what happens?' Yukan asked.

He had been planning out ideas and battle plans which would help him save Kushina, get out of the situation alive and would also be the most beneficial for the future.

[No, but, for once, the system can protect the Host's soul from anything. Just, it would cost the Host a penalty]

'Alright. It's alright. What's the penalty?'

[That will be revealed later]

'I mean, as long as it is not death, I'm fine with it.'

[Oh, worry not, the penalty would be the exact opposite of something like death]

'Hey system, I'll be using-'

As Yukan was talking to the system inside his head, he felt a heavy force kicking him down from above.

Yukan fell on the ground from the trees at a speed higher than what he was running at. A small crater was formed around the area he fell.

'Damn it, I didn't even sense him?' Yukan said as he looked around with his eyes.

Since he couldn't sense the man with [Chakra Sense], Yukan tried looking with his eyes and then, with his sensory eyes.

'Fuck, it's dark, so I can't see normally and the sensory eyes don't show any abnormality. It's a human.' 

Yukan looked around to find some kind of light but, he found nothing. He tried looking up and saw something he never expected to see.

He saw Kushina at the top of a mountain, her eyes closed as she wailed in pain. She was hung on a tall altar by a single rope.

As Kurama stood right in front of her, her life had a very large risk.

Yukan was about to jump up and get to Kushina but, he was once again punched and thrown back. He could not see where it came from at all.

'Damn no, I need someone who uses fire jutsu. My fire is black and I won't be able to see anything even if I used it... Minato, where is he?'

As Yukan was about to get up after falling down, he felt someone pressing weight down his chest using their knee.

"...Look here." The man said as he looked Yukan in the eyes. Yukan saw only two red dots amid the black night.

As he looked at the two red dots, slowly the pattern inside them changed.

'These- they are the-' Yukan's mind was now flooded with notifications from the system.

[Host is being attacked by an incredibly strong genjutsu]

"W-What? How?" The man said as his force eased a little.

Yukan took the advantage of the situation and threw himself up and stood up again.

"I sensed your chakra-" Minato, who just teleported right there put his hand on Yukan's shoulder.

"Oi, use  Fire-jutsu." Yukan said as he held Minato's hand which he had kept on his shoulder and stopped himself from breaking it.

Yukan disappeared again as soon as he said that.

"What? Alright..." Minato said as he used some large-scale fire jutsus and made the whole area catch fire.

'He must have needed light.' Minato thought in his mind. He was about to follow Yukan again but, the moment he was about to, Minato saw a man covering half his face and blood flowing from one of his eyes and red patterns in both his eyes.

"U-Uchiha...Shin?" Minato said as he took out one more kunai from his pockets and got ready to fight again.

'What's happening now?' Yukan thought as he looked up where Kushina was.

His speed slowed down when he looked up.

Kurama was now singing his paw at Kushina, aiming to stab her with his nails.

'There... we are almost a hundred meters away. What...What if I can't reach?' Yukan thought.

As he stood at one point, his height slowly started increasing and his face deformed very slightly. Changes started occurring in his physical self.

[Warning! The host's second template is awakening]  (A/N: To someone who might not know, let me explain shortly. The second template can awaken after a rush of emotions. The awakened state increases the physical abilities astronomically but, the awakened being loses all his intelligence, becoming a literal animal on a killing spree and no, once fully awakened, you cannot go back, even the plot armor doesn’t help)

"Half of you, go help in controlling the tailed beast. The rest come with me." Sakumo said as he led ANBU officers into the forest along with himself. He wore the normal ninja outfit he used to wear instead of the Hokage's attire.

"Hokage-Sama, we found a survivor." An officer from the left side of the formation yelled.

"Uncle, it's me." The sound came from the bushes as the person stood up and walked out.

"What happened? Tell me all the news. I just rushed here as soon as I saw the tailed beast. Are Yukan and Kushina fine?" Sakumo asked as he walked forward.

"Don't you know, uncle? We were betrayed. Ouch! My arm hurts. The enemies were too strong, they almost killed me. If it weren't for sensei's teachings, I wouldn't have survived." The person said as he tightened the bandage he had wrapped around his bleeding half-remaining arm.

"Hmm, take officers and scout the west. You go east. I'll go south." Sakumo ordered the ANBU officials. 

"Here, warm yourself up," Sakumo said as he brought a fire torch near him.

Sakumo then again asked, "Do you need to go to the hospital first...Kozuki?"
