"Oh, by god's grace, shall you become a brilliant star, soaring above else. You shall rise, and rise to new heights!"
His eyes snapped open, drenched in cold sweats. His heart restlessly pounded to no end, and his breaths were deep and sound. All of it coupled with an unclear mind filled with fading vestiges of what felt like an eternal slumber's vision.
"Here, drink some water," The dulcet voice of the person beside him comforted him as he rubbed his eyes to gain a clear view. "If you're wondering about the time, then it's around nine in the morning."
A clay pot was handed to him with cold-sweet water in it, which he drank with no thought. After that, he gave it back to the hand in front of him. The hand moved away with the pot, tip-toeing beneath the autumn sun under a cover of tall trees.
"I see," Whilst glimpsing his surrounding which seemed familiar, his eyes came across a woman who was busy gathering chunks of wood. "What are those for?" The man with only some old and torn rags to call his own posed a question to the peculiar woman who wore blue trousers with a black shirt atop. Her black hair stretched below her shoulder.
"Fire, gotta cook something."
"Cook what?"
"Fish maybe?"
"And who'll," Before the man could finish his statement whilst getting off the sandy ground, he was met with a stare that suggested the answer to his supposed question. "Fine, I'll go."
The man dusted his torn black trousers coupled with a white shirt, after which he turned about and marched towards the lake situated a few hundred metres away from the wilderness they found themselves amidst.
"Alan, we don't have much in store. Winter's approaching, so we'll need some in store for a few months."
The woman announced from behind, to which he continued walking with no response.
