I didn’t understand much of what that entity said, but I guess they allowed me to face that kid.
I get to have my revenge and a reward from those mysterious strangers in the end? I thought. This was a win-win situation for me.
I was somewhat sure that he held a grudge against me for no reason, he seemed like a pampered brat. Someone with a golden spoon up his ass, I would’ve killed him if not for his overpowered class.
I had a strong intuition that he looked down on me, thus he’ll aim to double his tutorial points.
That impudent kid won’t use his class, I thought. He’ll be nothing without it.
My scalp didn’t have any hair, and my eyebrows were no more. I admit that I looked more menacing this way, but this will hurt my prospects outside the tutorial.
The first fight didn’t end the way I expected it to. The kid seemed to be somewhat athletic, so he should’ve won easily against a regular woman. However, she went ahead and used her class.
Of course, someone with a class will beat a classless person, I thought. That’s why I am fighting the kid with my [Pugilist] class.
I knew that he wouldn’t stand a chance against me even without my class, but I had to make him suffer. I planned on toying with him till he begged for my mercy.
It didn’t take too long before the two people who had fought earlier appeared in the safe room. The guy’s injury seemed to have healed, but the grimace on his face implied that he felt pain.
After that, the bug called me and the spoiled kid. He said that explanations ‘won’t be needed’, because he already clarified the important points about the battle to the first two hosts.
“I am sure the two of you paid attention earlier, right?” he said, “Anyway, let’s get going!”
Suddenly, a system notice appeared in front of me.
[Welcome to the tutorial’s second phase! Would you like to use your class in the upcoming combat?] |
|
[Yes] |
[No] |
Hell yeah! Of course, I would. I tried to convey my intentions to the system. Another small notice appeared before me, saying that ‘the decision to use your class has been registered’.
I nodded at the small bug. Normally, I wouldn’t have respected such a disgusting creature, but I couldn’t wait to smash my prey.
“Look Muscle-head, I’ll tell you an important thing in front of everyone.” Said the brat, “I’ll fight you without using my class, and you’ll beg for mercy at the end!”
This kid’s arrogance knows no limits, I thought. He thinks he can trick me to reveal my decision?
I ignored the other people’s gazes and looked at my feet; I didn’t want him to realize that I’m using my class till he feels my fist on his face.
The fairy reprimanded him for revealing critical information to his opponent, but he didn’t seem to care. Then, he finally nodded to indicate that he made his decision.
Suddenly, I started feeling dizzy, before waking up in the forest of the tutorial.
Out of nowhere, another system notice appeared. This one had the shape of a map; it marked my current location with red color and my enemy’s location with green.
I opened my status screen to check if I truly kept my class.

Now that I confirmed that everything was in working order, I had a very simple strategy for facing the kid.
First, I’ll reach the kid’s current location. Second, I’ll use [Charge] to increase my strength by fifty percent. Third, I’ll keep hitting his limbs one by one until they break. Only after he’s close to death would I use [Strike] on his head.
I took a bit of time to understand how the system map worked, but I started running toward my target as soon as I did.
The distance wasn’t that short, and the rough nature of the terrain was somewhat problematic for my bulky body. Nonetheless, it didn’t take me too long to reach my destination.
Weird, I thought. Our locations are overlapping right now, so where is he?
At first, I thought that the system was lying about the kid’s location. However, I suddenly realized where he might be hiding.
As soon as I raised my head to look above myself, I felt a sharp pain in my forehead and the trees in front of me looked hazy.
Before long, I felt my eyelids getting heavier.
This feels similar to the time I drank five bottles of vodka in one go, I thought.

[Khapta’s Hard-Brick has been activated successfully!] |
Phew, I’ve done the first part of the plan successfully, I thought. Now comes the easier part.
Since I knew that some people were trying to crush me by making me fight this guy, I decided to give them a good show.
I descended from my tree and dragged the unconscious Chris closer to an area that had soft soil. I started digging a small hole using a broad dagger as a makeshift shovel. It was the same size as a grave and took me around three minutes to complete.
After finishing my task, I grabbed the [Bleeding Flask] from my bag of holding, then I opened it and held it with my left hand. I tried to open Chris’ mouth, but prying his jaw open using one of my daggers proved to be a hard task.
I was running out of time to find a practical method, so I chose violence. I picked up one of the rocks from the ground and inched closer to my victim.
I spread his lips a bit and smashed his front teeth repeatedly, till two of them broke leaving a gap in their place.
I am sorry man, I thought. I know you would’ve done worse to me if I didn’t ambush you.
I tried to ignore the grotesque sight of his busted lips and kept striking until his teeth made loud cracking sounds. Now that he lacked some of his incisors, I poured the liquid from the flask inside his mouth.
I was about to start climbing the tree again, before I decided to use all the items that I had to maximize my chance of winning against him.
I grabbed the two slimes’ essences from my bag of holding, one of them had radioactive properties and the other was filled with corrupted mana. The [Bleeding] status ailment should be too much to handle on its own, let alone coupled with the [Corrupted] and [Contaminated] ailments.
I poured the two essences into his mouth, my heart aching at the loss of my precious items.
When I finished the preparations, I put the glassware into my bag of holding and climbed a different tree from the one I climbed earlier.
I kept an eye on him from above. His ears, nose, and eyes already started bleeding before he woke up. It took him a couple of minutes before he woke up, and then a lot of drama started.
I knew that Chris had a skill that increased his strength a lot, but had a long cooldown, and an offensive skill that he could use once a day only. As a result, I decided to wait on top of the tree until he used both skills before proceeding with my plan.
Suddenly he started screaming. His voice was muffled due to the great damage that his lips and teeth suffered, but he didn’t seem to notice yet.
“No, Pops! No,” he said, guarding his head with both of his arms. “Don’t hit me please!”
I’d never seen this side of Chris before, so I found it quite amusing, till he started wailing like a baby.
“Please… Please!” He kept whimpering, before his eyes took on a look of focus. He jumped at the space in front of him, his already bloody body releasing steam.
“[Charge!]” He shouted, then he threw a supersonic punch at the imaginary foe, screaming ‘[Strike!]’ as he did so.
His body now was a bloody mess, he was bleeding from all of his orifices. He was still crying like a baby and talking to his imaginary dad.
“How do you feel now?” he said, “This is for all the pain! All those years! But don’t worry, the world will pay for letting me be your son.”
Childhood trauma, I thought. This was very common in our society, but people’s responses to it differed.
Some people ended up like Chris, others became pushovers and others became more compassionate and upstanding.
I shook off the intrusive thoughts and descended from the tree. At this point, the radiation started kicking in; his muscles cramped visibly and his skin extended, and his left hand even grew another finger.
I estimated his HP loss to be around one hundred points, so his strength was dwindling at this point.
I walked towards him with slow steps, his eyes regaining some lucidity when he saw me.
“What do you want now…” he managed to utter with a muffled voice, he couldn’t keep a grimace off his face as he spoke.
“I am here to fulfill my promise to our audience of course!” I said energetically, “If you beg my mercy, then I’ll give you a healing potion.”
Then I took out the HP potion from the bag of holding and dangled it in front of him. I felt good about my decision to borrow one from Petra, as I didn’t have enough funds to buy one after getting the items that I needed from the shop.
His eyes suddenly seemed reinvigorated, but he didn’t reply immediately. Instead, he seemed to be absent-minded for about ten seconds.
“I am sorry, Master Jason. I misjudged you on the first day, and that might be the reason you got angry with me.” He said, his tone of voice seemed sincere. “I will never cross you from now on, and I’ll make sure to stay away from you so as not to anger you further.”
He then made a bowing gesture with his head, and he clasped his hands together.
But I didn’t buy it, I knew for sure that he’ll destroy me the moment he gets healed.
Pitiful, I thought. He’s only faking this apology to backstab me later.
I started laughing hysterically, then I threw a large rock at his face. The projectile struck his nose and a loud breaking noise could be heard.
He tried to raise his hand to clutch his nose, but he couldn’t. His arms looked as if they were limp.
Right in time, I thought. He must’ve lost the capacity to move due to the accumulated damage.
“You disappointed me!” I said, shaking my head and clicking my tongue. “I thought you’d resist for a bit, but you went ahead and started begging right off the bat.”
I approached him and dragged him by the legs to the hole that I dug earlier. I put him inside it and started filling it with dirt.
“Hey! What the hell are you doing!” his voice was akin to a whisper as he said.
I ignored him and kept on burying him alive.
As soon as I filled the grave with dirt, I dusted off my hands and started looking at the sky.
“I hope you liked this show!” I said, “I’ve done my best to make it as enjoyable as possible!”
Then I started rubbing my hands together and smirked.
“I hope we get to know each other soon,” I added with a large grin on my face.
After that, I started walking away from the crime scene.
Now, I’ve made my move, I thought. It’s your turn, bastards. Let’s see what you have in store for me.
A system notice appeared in front of me after walking for a while.
[Opponent’s HP reached zero! You are the victor! You’ll be rewarded for your efforts after reaching the safe room. |
