Chapter 1: [Prologue] A writer with no talent

“Writing is not very hard, anyone can write, but what matters is, how well someone can write. Some people have an imaginative mind, but have poor vocabulary, some people have good vocabulary but not an imaginative mind. If you have a balance of these two, you can write stories that bend to your will, stories you can share with others which they can enjoy. I had a dream… that was becoming a novelist when I grow up. My mind imagined a lot of things, but I always had trouble expressing them through words. When I closed my eyes, I could imagine a fight scene that would send shivers down my spine. I tried improving my vocabulary which I was successful at. I could write stories, but I could not write a long story. Who would want to read a short story.

So I did, I poured in thousands of hours and finished writing a long novel. I went to a publishing company. They saw it and an editor there approved it. A few months later it was published…. Only for it to flop. I was wrong, people didn’t like what I wrote. I was depressed by this. My parents knew about this so they tried to console me, but it was of no use. I wanted to cry, but I couldn’t cry, the tears wouldn’t flow. I sat in my gloomy room, staring at the clear full moon. I saw something, was it my imagination, it was a red light that beamed on the moon. I thought I was too tired, but soon the red light came closer, I saw it and dodged it and then I woke up. I was still in my room. Suddenly my parents knocked on the door, they were trying to console me. I was confused, it felt like Deja vu as I know this has happened before. I stared at the moon again, it was still full moon. I noticed the red light again, it all went the same way, it came closer, I dodged and I woke up… again. My parents knocked at my door trying to console me. I quickly ran to my window and looked at the moon. The red light was seen again, only this time I didn’t dodge, and it pierced through me. That’s when something that I have imagined before happened…”
