Over the next week, Seris had become increasingly more affectionate. Although he still had bouts of anger, and would still sometimes choke or slap me and then roughly violate me, his moments of gentleness increased as well. Another woman would have easily fallen for him. Everyone knows this routine. It’s called Stockholm syndrome. You begin to fall in love with and sympathize with your capturer.
The abuse followed by the kindness would work on any sane person. It was too bad I had lost my sanity long ago. As for my heart, it was a shriveled dead thing that had no care in the world. While is kindness had its own charm, I enjoyed his aggressive side more. Yet, the more I acted willfully, the more kind he acted in response. Frankly, it was irritating.
Over the week, whenever I wasn’t satisfying Seris’s sexual desires, I was reworking my limbs. After my spine broke, I had been paralyzed by the waist down, but I was far from the level 1 human I had been when I first came to this world. My ability to heal was enhanced by many times and the heartiness of my body grew to insane amounts. It was inevitable that I regained the ability to use my lower half, but I had rejected this reality to wallow in my self-pity.
Perhaps, I had needed to be locked up and brutalized, just to feel alive again. I don’t know. I just knew that I could walk again, that I had overstayed my welcome at the Tibult mansion, and that it was probably time that I moved on with my life. I had dreams of making this my permanent home, but I came to understand something as I stayed here. I had no home.
I had tried to make a home traveling along with Min, but I had lost him. I tried to make a home with the cambions, but those burned to the ground. I tried to make a home as Tibult’s slave, but I was released. I tried to make a home in the labyrinth but it was destroyed. I was so desperate to find a home that I didn’t lose, that I willed myself to lose my legs and agency just so that I could stay, and even subjected myself to Seris’s brutality. Although I didn’t hate him or even feel regret, I could at least see how messed up it was. I wondered if there would be a time soon where I wouldn’t even be able to see that. When would my messed-up world view become normal?
Thus, I knew I needed to get going. Once my strength had returned, I would leave the baby with Synophany. Ultimately, unloading that monster was probably the best thing for me. Then, I would head off. Where would I go? I was thinking of the Capitol of the demon country might be interesting. Maybe I’d make some money prostituting. Heh. There was a time, not even a year ago, even when I was seductress sucking dick, where the idea of selling myself for coin crossed my line. I told myself that I could have sex to get things, but as long as it wasn’t money, then I wasn’t a whore. How quickly the line dropped, it seemed.
I dressed in a dress provided by Seris. It would be considered scandalous to wear such a dress in public, but all of my other clothing had been burned, discarded, or cut apart by Seris during our sex sessions. He had isolated me emotionally from others in many ways, and even if he wasn’t chaining me to the wall, it wasn’t like I was allowed to leave. This was the dress that covered the most, and it’d be sufficient until I reached the town and got something more suited for travel.
I packed up everything I had remaining in my sack. It wasn’t much. A few potions, some alchemy equipment, some dried rations, and a skin of water. The most valuable thing I had remaining on me was a single vial of elixir I had once managed to create and never had the heart to sell. Of course, I refused to use it to fix my legs either.
It didn’t matter anymore. I could now walk. I could make money wherever I went just with my body. Actually, if I was being honest, I didn’t need my body. Just my face, a smile, and a few words were enough to turn most men into a blubbering idiot. They’d hand me the shirt off their back if I just touched their arm and winked. There was no point in spreading my legs. I did that part just for the fun.
The other reason I had remained in the mansion for a solid week was that I wanted to observe Seris. When I was in my helpless state, he seemed like an omnipresent force that saw right through me. This was the impression I got because of his cold, calculating maliciousness. I had thought him a man above the boring sexual impulses of men. This had left me excited and curious about him. He had to ruin it all by falling in love with me. Now, in my eyes, he was just another man with a dick that could be led how I wanted.
Thus, I spent a week determining all of his movements and preparing for the day he wasn’t around to leave as quietly as possible. Synophany had barely noticed after I was taken away by Seris and restrained by him for a week. I don’t she’d notice when I left this time either. The baby monster was already over a year old in appearance and was starting to take its first steps. This level of growth was terrifying. I wanted nothing to do with it. As for saying goodbye to either, I had no desire whatsoever.
With a final look over the room to make sure that I had gotten everything, I grabbed my bag and left the prison Seris had created for me. I moved a route that I had already scoped out in my wheelchair the last week. It was a route unlikely to be seen by other maids. It was ultimately my desire to disappear without a trace. I worried that Seris would chase after me, so I intended to move as quickly as possible, and also change my appearance.
As I left, I resembled my normal appearance. Any woman who saw me would be stunned by my beauty. They would never guess I was that disabled maid who pushed out a monster and was now the young master’s unfortunate plaything. Of course, most of them knew or at least had heard rumors about what he did to his toys, and they were all mostly glad that they hadn’t drawn his interest. Considering the general feelings on the strange mistress who showed up at the door and then became a disabled wretch a few weeks later, most of the girls were likely glad it was me. Since I couldn’t even walk, let alone pick up the burden of cleaning, then being their master’s onahole was as kind of a fate as I deserved.
So, I left under my normal face. The maids and lady would have no clue a certain maid was leaving, but if Seris heard about it, it’d send a clear message to him that I was done with him. By proudly walking out in all my beauty, I hope it caused him to hesitate from treating me like a doe he could hunt. Perhaps I was just overthinking things, but that happened when you were more or less restrained and imprisoned for weeks on end.
As I reached the front foyer, I became confident in my exit. I walked straight to the door, but just as I was halfway across the room, the door suddenly exploded open. A group of strange people burst in, leaving me confused. More confusing, their focus didn’t seem to be on me at all. There was a tall handsome man wearing armor, another shorter man with a large ax strapped over his shoulder, and a woman with long ram horns on her head in a riding dress.
“We need to get her in a bed! Servants!” The handsome man bellowed.
It was at this point I realized that the two men were holding another woman. Her arms were wrapped around each man. Blood was running down her front, and she looked seriously messed up. After he shouted in a roar that caused the entire mansion to shake, the very maids I was trying to avoid came running out. They went to try to help, but the woman suddenly lurched forward, vomiting blood onto the floor of the mansion.
“Damn!” he cursed, grabbing her and carefully laying her down on the floor. “Potions! I need potions!”
“Master,” one woman responded tearfully. “All the potions in stock were recently used up, and because of the war reparations, we aren’t able to buy more.”

“Used up?” The man glared. “On what?”
The woman bit her lip, but there was a clear flash of anger. I could already read her thoughts. The person the potions had been used up on was me. They had fed me several potions to keep me alive. Not everyone could make new potions like me, so the stuff they gave me was likely all the stock they had. How often did you expect to need to take a life-saving cure in a year? Given the cost, two-three potions would already be considered excessive. As far as replacing them in only two weeks, that might have been possible in normal times, but the humans and demons were still uneasy.
I hadn’t created peace when I destroyed the peace talks, I had instead made it impossible for war. The two sides were now replenishing their supplies, armor, and forces, preparing for a final battle that would decide the fates of the two nations. It had been delayed by a cease-fire, but that would only last a year. It might be a year or two beyond that before either side moved. However, it had not been stopped. The demons were still preparing, and thus supplies were hard to come by.
“Get a medkit! Get anything!” He yelled desperately.
It was clear that he cared for the woman. As for her, she was very near death now. Her breath was coming out in strained rattles, and she was staring at him with eyes that were starting to lose their lucidity. As Aria watched this scene, no one was watching her. If she walked out now, someone might vaguely recall a strange girl there, but she would likely be quickly forgotten. Come on, Aria. Just leave.
“You… you’re going to be fine.” The man said, grabbing the dying woman’s hand tightly and smiling down at her.
“L-liar…” She forced a smile, filled with blood.
“Tcht…” Aria made an irritated sound.
She hated such corny scenes the worst. Dropping her backpack with a thud that caught people’s eyes, she reached into her backpack noisily. A maid let out a cry of surprise noticing a young, scantily-clad woman standing in their foyer. They didn’t recognize where she came from at all. Had she come in with the party?
The lead-man frown, since he could see the maid’s confusion, and also knew that she hadn’t come with them. Her beauty was breathtaking, and if he didn’t wear an amulet that protected him from charms like all nobility, he might have been swept away by her beauty in an instant. Such a girl wouldn’t instantly bring suspicion to any man who saw her. Aria ignored the looks though, pulling out her vial of elixir. This thing was her greatest wealth. With a sigh, she offered it to the man.
“What is this?” He asked suspiciously, taking the vial from her and looking at it. “This is… an elixir!”
The uninjured woman beside him gasped. This was a top-grade medical potion. It was already strange for a strange beautiful woman to suddenly show up in a general’s mansion, but to also have such a potion, it was difficult to believe. He trusted in his Examine skill thought, which told him it wasn’t poisoned. Without hesitating, he poured the drink down his companion’s throat.
There were other less costly ways Aria could have repaired his companion, but they would be much more suspicious. Doing some kind of Restoration on her would require sexual contact. Although she had her sexual fortitude that turned everything sexual, not every skill could just casually be used from the other side of the room. The stronger skills still needed her to be in the moment. It might not need to be at the level of sex, but perhaps kissing and heavy petting at least. That’s why she hadn’t Black Widow’d every man in the demon army when she had the chance.
Her condition slowly began to recover, and when the man saw her wounds closing and her body healing, he let out a breath of relief. He then stood up and held his hand out to Aria.
“I don’t know who you are, stranger, but you saved my companion’s life. I owe you. I am Bradrick Tibult, oldest son and successor to my father, General Tibult. If you want anything, please, just ask.”
So, he was Seris’s brother. I looked him up and down. His body was much more impressive than his brother. He had large muscles, was about a foot taller, and while they both contained many handsome features in common, Bradrick was several levels more attractive. I reached out and grabbed his strong hand, a slight twitch to my lips.
Perhaps, there was a reason to stay, for just a bit longer.
