Yamasaki muttered, "interesting."
The news was about Sword Saint and the strongest higher god, Nora Kroft.
A week ago, Goddess Nora visited the Sword Saint and attacked him. The reason was unknown and surprisingly, Venerable Edgar only defended. The aftermath of their battle was the destruction of a dead planet!
Only when Venerable Alwyn interfered did the higher god stop and leave.
This incident shocked the whole universe. After all, everyone knew the Sword Saint's temper and such a person just defended?!
People couldn't help but recall the scandal of the higher god. It was said that before the Sword Saint became a transcendent, he was in a relationship with her. At that time, Goddess Nora's husband mysteriously died and soon after, Emily was born,
She had also participated in the infamous battle of Erlen later on. A battle that chilled even a higher god. When the Sword Saint was just about to become a transcendent, Venerable Rudra led many higher gods and gods to attack him.
Having another transcendent in the world changed many things and the venerables had a tacit understanding not to allow another person to rise and disturb the delicate balance.
But then Edgar Ruth emerged right under Venerable Alwyn's nose. Why would he allow such a thing to happen? He couldn't understand and also didn't care about the reason. He publicly announced that he would definitely not allow Edgar to become the next venerable.
The result was the tragedy of Erlen. First ever war between two realms where two oldest venerables showed their might. At that time, demigods weren't even allowed to participate as even gods died like chickens and dogs.
The war had many complexities and the aftermath was the emergence of the youngest venerable but at the expense of countless lives and a no man zone.
Tessa asked with her eyes shining, "what do you think the reason is?"
Yamasaki rolled his eyes and said, "how will we know?"
Amelia started to consider it seriously. Tessa glanced at him and snorted, "boring."
She stood up and went on Amelia's side. Listening to their wild imagination, Yamasaki's lips curled up in a warm smile.
After some time, Tessa started ranting about different things. Though she looked cheerful, Amelia and Yasuo knew that she still hadn't completely recovered from her trauma so they spent a good amount of time with her.

One thing Yamasaki noted was when Tessa crossed her arms over her chest and grunted, "I heard that Sammy has become more overbearing lately. That idiot doesn't act like an adult at all."
After she reluctantly left, Yamasaki murmured, "guess I need to make Sammy a visit."
Amelia narrowed her eyes. "How big trouble will you create?"
He chuckled, "enough to stay at home in people's eyes."
Amelia hesitated but in the end didn't say anything. She knew that the reason he would be going through so much trouble was his lack of trust in Alan. She sighed.
Even if she threatened him, he never listened. Alan was so narrow minded that even she felt irritated. If not for all those damned restrictions, she would have long fought with that man.
Familial love? Unfortunately it was just an illusion to fool their poor mother. All of them had only one common point—their care for Melissa. So what if they had to put up an act for years?
Amelia side glanced at Yamasaki and thought that man would fail. Then only would their mother face the cruel reality. She had to make preparations for this. She would have to support her and stop Alan from doing something shitty. Even though that person was there, Amelia still felt worried about Alan's actions.
Eric would play a huge role in all of this; she would have to guide him properly. In her current life, the indifferent woman only had a soft spot for her mother, Eric, and Tessa. And two of them were involved in this mess thanks to that person.
She sighed again. "If not for the restrictions…."
Because of them, even though she was an ascender, her aura and capability was like a drifter. In short, she was useless. On the plus side, this deceived Alan into thinking that she was weak and could be controlled.
She felt his hand on her head, his gaze was gentle as he said, "don't worry about me. Everything will be fine."
Yamasaki had a wrong idea but she, of course, didn't correct him.
She hummed softly in response.
