Chapter 25: Chapter 26: Ether and Chaos

Sasha blinked, calming down a little. She hadn't started yet and she knew that Eric had a good music sense. But it was the first time he said that he wanted to play something.

Her interest was piqued; still she proved, "it's not related to sex, right?"

"Sasha, come on. Who do you think I am?"

"A sex fiend."

"... Anyways." He took out a drum from the spatial ring. It was pretty big with its height reaching Yamasaki's waistline.

Its frame was made of rimun tree and was covered at one end by a tightly stretched membrane. Yamasaki held a pair of sticks and smiled at Sasha whose gaze was even brighter than when he wanted to buy wine in bulk.

She asked him, "where did you get it?"

"In the manor's storeroom."

"Can you take me there?"

He chuckled, "this was the only musical instrument there."

"It's a pity."

Yamasaki suddenly said in an excited voice, "Sasha let's make something out of nothing."

She blinked; it was challenging yet interesting.

Sasha nodded and made herself clear, "but we will give it a try only once. After that, I'll kick you out."

He nodded, "cool."

Seeing his confidence, she wondered where he learned to play the drum. He must have done it in secret and was too embarrassed to talk about it until he became good enough; that was cute. Her lips curled up.

In truth, Eric had wasted his many talents. Yamasaki actually played eastern classic instruments in his college days. Music was special for him because through it, Megumi and he became friends back then. After her death, he stopped playing. But now things were different.

Then they got into their respective positions; Yamasaki said that he'd start and Sasha didn't mind.

Yamasaki took a deep breath and started drumming; as he was doing it after a long time, he struck the sticks lightly but he still maintained a tempo. Sasha nodded and thought, 'Not bad.'

She also started playing; strumming the strings gently, matching his tempo. Their eyes met and a natural smile formed on their lips. Sasha's light touch suddenly became firm and her speed increased. Yamasaki's eyes widened with the sudden change but he quickly adapted and assisted her. Some beats sounded strange but they didn't stop.

As time passed, they got engrossed in playing and having fun. Out of the blue, an unnatural feeling rose inside of them. They looked at each other at the same time. No words were spoken but they knew that the next moment was really important.

And so they started playing; the resulting melody was something they had never even imagined before. The tap of the sticks, the thumping sound of the drum, the plucking of the strings—everything synchronized to form a piece that touched their souls.

A phenomenon appeared in the room. A circle of light divided into two teardrop-shaped swirls, one black and one white, enveloped them. The black section had a white 'dot' encircling Yamasaki and the white section had a black dot surrounding Sasha. Both of them went into a state of enlightenment.

Yamasaki's comprehension of Ether and Chaos deepened. The black swirl represented chaos, which was associated with femininity, darkness, and passivity. The white swirl represented ether, which was associated with masculinity, light, and aggression.

It was a concept where two seemingly opposite or conflicting forces could actually be interconnected and interdependent, and how they could work together to create a harmonious whole. These two forces were constantly in a state of dynamic balance and interdependence, with one constantly giving way to the other. For example, day turning into night and winter turning into summer.

Yamasaki could also understand his physique more properly. In a lifeforms body, ether and chaos were also in constant balance, with chaos representing the more passive and receptive aspects of the body and ether representing the more active and assertive aspects.

The physical and spiritual aspects of a person were interconnected and must be balanced in order to achieve optimal health. When the physical and spiritual aspects were in harmony, an individual could experience greater vitality, mental clarity, and overall well-being. This could be achieved by various techniques and practices which may or may not include physical touch. And because of his physique, he could increase his cultivation faster than anyone with either method.

This meant that the seemingly complete techniques and arts were actually incomplete. No, it was not like that. Yamasaki took out the jade tablet and observed it. He was surprised by his finding.

Many astral arts that didn't involve touch were also redesigned and incorporated in this damned sexual encyclopedia. Yamasaki was amazed by the creator; just how thirsty that person was?

He focused more trying to find some abnormality, but failed to do so. He had no choice left but to experiment things according to his plan. He sighed and looked ahead. The phenomenon had long disappeared and Sasha stood in front of him with a flushed face.

She jumped at him and embraced him tightly. With an excited voice, she said, "I love you! I love you so much!"
