Chen Xi and Kong Youran traveled side by side through an open field.
The fiery red setting sun in the sky glowed like fire, and it caused the ground to be covered in a layer of crimson red like the color of a rose.
When she wasn’t in battle, Kong Youran recovered that lazy appearance of hers. She wore a dress that was covered in rosy clouds, had a slender and long snow white neck, fluffy and beautiful hair, and a peerlessly gorgeous and exquisite appearance.
She was elegant, composed, beautiful, sexy, and emanated an extremely noble aura. Moreover, her bearing seemed to be extremely unique.
This was Kong Youran. As the number one expert in the Universe Enlightened Ancestral God Realm of Nuwa’s Dao Palace and a pure-blooded descendant of the primeval Peacock King, she was born worthy of being an extraordinary genius.
“Thank you for just now.” Kong Youran slowed down. Her starry eyes stared at the fiery red setting sun in the distance while her clear and soothing voice carried a trace of laziness.
Chen Xi replied casually. “There’s no need for that. Even if I didn’t make a move, with the strength you possess, escaping would be extremely easy for you.”
“No matter what, if you didn’t lend a hand this time, then I wouldn’t be able to vent my hatred.” Kong Youran grinned while her sexy and moist red lips parted lightly, and she revealed a form of unique beauty. “However, it’s strange. The disciples of the Dao Institute were just like the disciples of the Sovereign Sect and Divine Institute, all of them were able to converge together in advance. I even slightly suspect that the Dao Institute might be on the Divine Institute and Sovereign Sect’s side.”
Chen Xi thought for a moment and said, “I’m unable to confirm that as well. However, I can confirm that the Dao Institute ought to have been clearly aware of the Sovereign Sect and Divine Institute’s plot before the Dao Discussion had begun. Only our Oracle Mountain and Nuwa’s Dao Palace had been kept in the dark.”
A wisp of surprise flashed within Kong Youran’s starry eyes. “You noticed as well?”
Chen Xi nodded. His emotions were slightly heavy because he was worried about more than just this.
“Right, did you meet any disciples of my Oracle Mountain all along the way?” asked Chen Xi.
Kong Youran was stunned, and then she said with surprise, “Could it be that you haven’t encountered a single disciple from your Oracle Mountain until now?”
Chen Xi said, “Indeed.”
Kong Youran seemed to be lost in thought. “You suspect that there’s something fishy about this?”
Chen Xi pondered deeply for a moment, and then he suddenly asked. “Miss Kong, do you know what sort of force in this world is capable of affecting the Karmic Luck of cultivators?”
Kong Youran puckered her red lips, and then she stretched out her fair hand and pointed it towards the sky. “The Heaven Dao.”
Chen Xi chuckled. “I know about that.”
The Heaven Dao covered the entire cosmos, and it was the supreme law that maintained the circulation of the universe. It was supreme, boundless, and ethereal. The fate, karma, destiny, luck, and so on and so forth of a cultivator were all imperceptibly affected by it, and this was common knowledge in the entire cultivation world.
Kong Youran seemed to have thought of something. She suddenly stopped moving, fell silent for a moment, and then said abruptly, “Chen Xi, you think that someone took action in secret and affected your Karmic Luck during the Dao Discussion?”
Chen Xi shook his head. “I’m not worried about myself, and I’m worried about the other disciples of my Oracle Mountain instead.”
Kong Youran took a deep breath as she turned to stare at Chen Xi, and then she said, “There isn’t a huge difference between that. I’m unable to determine if your judgment is correct, but I can tell you that besides the Heaven Dao, there’s still one more treasure that’s capable of imperceptibly controlling the Karmic Luck of cultivators!”
Chen Xi’s eyes narrowed as he said, “What is it?”
Kong Youran spoke word by word. “The Sovereign Sect’s Ultimate Treasure — the Luck Reversing Disk!”
The Luck Reversing Disk! The Sovereign Sect!Chen Xi’s heart shook while a wisp of extremely shocking and piercingly cold light suddenly flashed in his eyes.
“This treasure resides in the Sovereign Sect and possesses unfathomable divine might. According to legend, one can directly form a connection with the energy of the Heaven Dao by relying on this treasure and cause all sorts of forces like calamities, slaughter, and heavenly punishment to descend. It’s formidable and mysterious to the extreme. Most importantly, the rumors of the outside world say that one of its most formidable effects is its ability to imperceptibly control and affect a cultivator’s Karmic Luck!”
Kong Youran’s explanation allowed Chen Xi to be even more certain that the reason he was unable to converge with the other disciples of Oracle Mountain until now was probably because of the Sovereign Sect’s plot!
When he thought up to here, Chen Xi couldn’t help but laugh coldly. “I never expected that they actually didn’t hesitate to utilize such a precious treasure just to deal with my Oracle Mountain.”
Kong Youran didn’t speak because she was thinking about whether her Nuwa’s Dao Palace had been plotted against like this as well. However, after thinking about it over and over again, she was still unable to figure it out.
Chen Xi took a deep breath, discarded the distracting thoughts in his mind, and then he said, “Miss Kong, thank you for the reminder. If there’s nothing else, then I’ll be bidding my farewells.”
“Actually, you can come with me. In this way, even if we encounter danger, we wouldn’t have to worry about being eliminated by others.” Kong Youran suggested.
Chen Xi smiled. “There’s no need for that. I’m still concerned about the other disciples from my sect, and I’m truly unable to rest at ease unless I find them.”
Kong Youran stopped persuading him when she heard this, and she said, “Then take care of yourself. It would be slightly boring if you weren’t in the second round of the Dao Discussion.”
Chen Xi smiled lightheartedly. “You too.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned around and left.
Under the rays of the setting sun, his tall figure was covered in a layer of blood red light. He was all alone yet not lonely because he had his own convictions in his heart.
With conviction in the heart, one wouldn’t be lonely any longer.
“He really is an interesting fellow.” A wisp of a smile suffused the corners of Kong Youran’s mouth. When Chen Xi’s figure vanished completely, she finally stretched her figure for some time, and then her clothes fluttered as she swiftly vanished on the spot.
…
In the second month of the Dao Discussion, the atmosphere in the Dao Cauldron World had been very calm, and battles hadn’t erupted successively like it had during the first month.
So, when the unprecedented battle of Chen Xi and Kong Youran against those 26 disciples of the Dao Institute erupted, it seemed to be so shocking.
However, along with the end of the battle, the atmosphere within the Dao Cauldron World had fallen into a strange form of deathly silence again.
No matter which power it was, all of their disciples adopted conservative strategies and moved about carefully.

But along with the passage of time, everyone in the outside world sensed that a storm was about to arrive.
Because under their gazes, all the 25 Ancient Dao Engraved Cauldrons had been obtained, and there wasn’t a single one that remained without an owner.
Presently, all the disciples of Oracle Mountain had obtained one each. They seemed to have become the biggest winner amongst the five great powers, but one had to remember that only Chen Xi, Gu Yan, and Tu Meng remained from amongst the disciples of Oracle Mountain!
Nuwa’s Dao Palace had obtained four cauldrons.
The Dao Institute had obtained six.
The Sovereign Sect possessed five.
The Divine Institute had seven.
When compared in this way, Oracle Mountain was clearly in a disadvantaged position when it came to the fight for the Ancient Dao Engraved Cauldrons.
Nuwa’s Dao Palace was merely inferior to Oracle Mountain, whereas, the Divine Institute had become the biggest winner.
Of course, this was merely in terms of the number of Ancient Dao Engraved Cauldrons. There was over a month of time until the Dao Discussion actually came to an end, and if nothing unexpected happened, then extremely intense battles for the sake of seizing the Ancient Dao Engraved Cauldrons in their possessions would definitely occur between these five great powers.
It was inevitable.
After all, besides Oracle Mountain, the other four great powers still had numerous disciples who hadn’t obtained a cauldron.
This means that battles were bound to be unavoidable during the following period of time!
All the cultivators in the outside world had realized this, and they were watching closely with anticipation. Even if the atmosphere within the Dao Cauldron World seemed to be slightly depressing, it still hadn’t dispersed their fervor.
…
When the third month of the Dao Discussion arrived, the depressing atmosphere that had continued for numerous days was finally destroyed by a string of battled that erupted abruptly!
On the 1st day of the third month.
Shi Yu’s group from Nuwa’s Dao Palace encountered Donghuang Yinxuan’s group from the Divine Institute, and an intense battle erupted.
In the end, Nuwa’s Dao palace lost three disciples, had one of their Ancient Dao Engraved Cauldrons seized, and had no choice but to retreat.
On the Divine Institute’s side, the remaining 10 Black Officers were completely eliminated while the other 12 Powerseal Disciples weren’t harmed at all.
…
On the 4th day of the third month.
Gu Yan who was ranked at the 1st amongst the third generation disciples of Oracle Mountain encounter an encirclement by the group of disciples from the Sovereign Sect led by Leng Xinghun. Gu Yan eliminated two of their disciples but was defeated by Leng Xinghun in the end, and he left while heavily injured.
All the cultivators in the outside world were shocked when they witnessed this battle.
Oracle Mountain’s Gu Yan was reputed to be an existence on par with Kong Youran, Donghuang Yinxuan, Leng Xinghun, and Yea Chen, yet he was almost eliminated from the Dao Discussion. So, how could all of them not be shocked?
The reason for this wasn’t that Gu Yan was weak, and it was because Leng Xinghun wasn’t his only opponents, there were numerous other disciples of the Sovereign Sect as well. While under a situation of being encircled and besieged, he was still able to eliminate two of his enemies, break through the tight encirclement, and flee. This clearly displayed how formidable his strength was.
…
On the 13th day of the third month.
A conflict arose between the Dao Institute’s Yea Chen and the disciples of the Divine Institute, and Donghuang Yinxuan led the other 11 Powerseal Disciples to fight Yea Chen to the point of having no choice but to flee.
On the 15th day of the third month.
It was Yea Chen again who entered into conflict with Kong Youran, Shi Yu, and the others from Nuwa’s Dao Palace, and he fled helplessly in the end.
On the 19th day of the third month.
It was Yea Chen once more. He noticed a conflict that arose between Yu Jiuhui and Leng Xinghun’s group, and he rushed over in time to lend Yu Jiuhui a hand and allow Yu Jiuhui to avoid facing the risk of elimination.
…
This string of battles had erupted on practically every other day, and it caused the situation with the Dao Cauldron World to be completely turbulent, confrontational, and explosive. It wasn’t depressing any longer.
On the other hand, the cultivators in the outside world seethed with excitement after they witnessed all of this, and they were simply bedazzled by this feast for the eyes and clamored endlessly.
The sounds of exclaims of surprise, pity, admiration, shock…. All sorts of voices practically didn’t stop resounding throughout these few days of time, and this clearly showed how tense and intense the situation within the Dao Cauldron World was.
Amongst these, the most striking wasn’t Gu Yan but Yea Chen instead.
In these past few days, he hadn’t just fought the Divine Institute and Sovereign Sect, he’d even fought Nuwa’s Dao Palace. Even though he had no choice but to flee every single time, he’d successfully drawn the attention of all the cultivators in the outside world.
No one dared to underestimate him.
Conversely, practically all their discussions about him were filled with praise and admiration.
Because all the cultivators were clearly aware that not everyone could accomplish what Yea Chen had and leave safely while against a group of opponents that were respectively led by Donghuang Yinxuan, Leng Xinghun, and Kong Youran!
