Both his monster girls were positioned to pounce, she could feel the heavy tension in their posture. The stern girl on the other hand looked much more relaxed as if she was in no danger at all. That fact might as well be true.

She peered at him a bit more closely then twisted her neck to better check on his other monsters which made them even more rigid.

She looked curious about something before shaking her head and holding the gem between her palms and a blast of golden light shown through the gem before the drake ling was ejected out of the gem. 

The gem for its part now had an amber sheen to it and the small glow that signified it housed a monster was absent. The drake ling for her part looked bewildered and dizzy like she was drunk.

Looking at the new and improved gem in her palm, she gave a simple nod and in a blink, she was gone in her place a pouch lay on the ground.

She was now back in front of the crater chucking the gem into the crater. There was a small flash inside the crater and then she simply disappeared. 

All of this happened way too quickly for Simon's brain and he just stood there trying to digest it all. End the end it was the purring rub of Whiskers that brought him out of his paralysis.
