Chapter 39: Chapter 33:Seeds of a breakout

Inside one of the personal rooms of an angel barracks, three souls were plotting the breakout of an unfortunate inmate. They had passed the emotional phase though Simon was still not clear why it happened in the first place.

"We need to remove our master from the hold of the order as soon as possible. Their plans for him are... not pretty." 

The feathers of fluff around him tightened ever so slightly. 

'What do you mean?' Rawr asked dawning her curious persona.

"He is a 'Fallen' project. Which roughly translates to, the order wants to do something the public will disagree with and needs someone to take the fall."

Maria said as she held on to Simon like he would disappear if she let go

'See! That accursed order is really evil. Destroy it, that will be the right thing to do!' Rawr was instantly enraged, Simon could feel the fury through the mental connection

"No, I would prefer if we did not but I am willing to follow to the ends of hell if my master does so." She said a sad acceptance in her tone. 

'Why?!' Rawr shouted, very indignant.

"Yes, there are a lot of corrupt people in the order and many of the things they do are questionable at best but everything they do is in the name of the greater good. For all their faults, they have done more good than harm and if we destroy the institution something else will take its place and we might not like the next one. Unless... Do you wish to take it over?"

Maria replied, it sounded as though she had given this a lot of thought. Simon wanted to pick at her brain for some juicy details but the end of her sentence demanded an immediate reply.

'PASS!'

"PASS!"

Both demon and dragon replied in unison, very aware of their distaste for authority even if they themselves were the ones in charge. Simon voiced his opinions clearly.

"I want to fuck my monster girls all day. Not sit on some throne and act like an evil overlord. And I agree with Maria, taking down the celestial order is both too stupid and too herculean in scope. I just wanna fuck off and do my own thing."

Simon believed in Maria, he had seen that man and that angel. Those two gave him the same vibes as his dad. He knew he would not be a match for his dad even if a million years have passed, he believed his father to be simply that strong. Was he a bit salty at the order? Sure. Was he going to wage war against an entity older than most of the empire? Hell no.

'Grr! Wait till I make everyone tier 7! I will show you herculean!' Rawr bit back, clearly believing themselves to be stronger than the order, or was it the arrogance of the dragon speaking?

"Hmm... I can actually do something... If the goal is to be free of the order." Maria intoned, clearly contemplative. 

"What?"

'What?'

Both asked in unison once more.

"If you show that you are 'indoctrinated' I can convince them to send you on a quest to remove your sentence. I can even drag that dark enchanter you are eyeing using the excuse that I was bonded to you due to an overflow and was partially compromised. After you are free, we flee the city and wash our hands of all the nonsense that accompanies it."

She gave her explanation, becoming more sure of herself the more she said it.

"That sounds a little too convenient..."

Simon answered back. That came out of the left field and he did not know of any precedent. Granted he avoided the order like the plague and was in no way an expert.

"That is because you are an outlier, you are not the first half-demon the order made 'disappear' and you will not be the last. Those of you that survive tend to be very very strong."

Maria replied her melodic voice sure of itself. Something clicked in Simon. Maria had been around a lot longer than both Simon and Rawr and had a well of experience to draw from, especially about the order. In doing so something else came to the forefront of his mind.

"I have so many more questions. But I think we have to get back soon. I do not know how long we have been out but it was not short. We will discuss the rest upon our return"

Maria looked at him with wide eyes before reluctantly sliding off his dick and getting dressed. Unlike her clothes before which had a more ethereal feel this one was a lot more mundane. 

"Right! We need to move!" Maria rapidly said as she got dressed, though quite clumsily.

'Awww... That means I have to leave.' Rawr pouted turning back to cute.

"Why? There is no reason you can simply hide in the temple, this is not a dragon-focused site." She said as Simon started helping her get dressed. He too was a bit out of his depth but he had seen his aunts do it often enough to help.

'Better to still not risk it. Besides I have been hunting 'rare drops' for Whiskers and Itsy.' Rawr replied psyching herself to go on her own.

Maria made a face when she heard both his tames' names.

"Master... You have unique naming conventions."

She said looking at him in relief.

"Thank you," Simon replied completely unaware. 

"...Never mind. Let us move, I have an excuse I can use if we are late but the less the valkyries are questioned the better." 

Both of them left quickly, on the way to the temple Simon chucked the dagger in a secluded alleyway as both of them resumed their roles in the temple. But the seeds were in place. Now it only needed to be iterated and executed.
