Chapter 1230: The Awakening

Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios

Wang Zheng was in the “coma” for the entire week. It was torment for a good number of people. The good news was that Wang Zheng’s body had recovered at an alarming rate, which shocked even the doctors. The Aslan doctor was not ignorant; he had seen many warriors who possessed astounding recovery rates, usually as a result of bioengineering. However, none of them were as fast as Wang Zheng. It was rather strange as well. It seemed as though his body generated a strong internal restoration force with a superb absorption of nutrients. His body had absorbed more than five times the usual amount of nutrients that an injured person would absorb. Generally, the injured would have a slower absorption rate than that of a healthy person, but it was the opposite for his case. His body seemed as though it understood the situation he was in and was repairing itself with scary efficiency.

Wang Zheng needed only to open his eyes and ready his mind when he woke up.

Wang Zheng got up slowly. His attending physician, George Brownie, was so shocked that he couldn’t speak at first. He managed to speak only when Wang Zheng was trying to get out of bed. “Wang Zheng, we need to do an overall check up on you. Please don’t move.”

Wang Zheng smiled. “Doctor, I’m fine.”

“That’s for me to decide. A check up is necessary. I understand how you feel, but I have my responsibility as well. You should understand, more haste less speed,” George Brownie said.

Wang Zheng could only nod helplessly. George Brownie immediately conducted his check up excitedly. This was a fairly comprehensive checkup which included a basic strength test for Wang Zheng’s broken arm. The recovery of the arm was shocking. George Brownie was very clear that any bodily repair would be as fragile as porcelain. However, Wang Zheng didn’t seem to notice that.

The nutrient solution in the petri dish he used was simply… indescribable. It seemed to be excreted after it was absorbed. The taste was horrible, but the absorption was scary. Luckily, the Prime Minister was there as well and provided them with the best. Honestly, in normal circumstances, he could be cured as long as he didn’t die. The only thing was that to resume fighting in such a short period of time was no longer the problem of the doctors.

Wang Zheng frowned slightly when the needle was stuck into his veins. He had not felt pain for such a long time and wasn’t used to it. Excitement followed after nonetheless.

He knew many people were waiting for him. His brothers and his enemies. He was looking forward to both.

A short seven days was indeed a long period to Wang Zheng.

He was out.

George Brownie was amazed at the data. Wang Zheng didn’t want to stay in the ward for too long, sd he didn’t like it in there.

“Doctor, can I be discharged?”

“Erm, there’s no problem, but, Wang Zheng, do you want to do further…”

“Doctor, goodbye,” Wang Zheng said with a smile.

This doctor was looking at him as though he was a lab rat. Wang Zheng didn’t have any interest in being dissected.

Charcoal had dragged his spirit into the Rubik’s Cube to let his body repair at the fastest possible speed. Now there was a need to familiarize himself with the changes in his body.

George Brownie couldn’t stop him, so he got the nurse to help Wang Zheng with his discharge. He started his Skylink immediately after Wang Zheng left. It was connected in no time. Doctor George’s expression turned solemn.

Kashawen’s image appeared.

“Has he recovered?”

“Yes, Prime Minister. His recovery is almost 100%, it’s a miracle. Not one super warrior I’ve handled could rival him,” George Brownie said respectfully.

“Did you find anything out of the ordinary?” Kashawen asked.

“We didn’t find anything abnormal in his cells, genes, or brain. However, his life force is unusually strong. I think that this should be a sign that the branding on his life is more outstanding. However, this is just my preliminary findings.”

Kashawen nodded, a little disappointed. She had always felt that there was something wrong with Wang Zheng. His strength was abnormal. He didn’t have the support of any country, but he could become someone so alarming. She wanted to find the reason for it, though, unfortunately, she didn’t manage to.

The Branding on Life, eh. Kashawen wasn’t interested in something akin to a soul. She wanted data on the source of his strength.

Almost recovered must mean that there was some place still not right with him. That was fine too. The best way to destroy someone was to give him hope and then extinguish it.

The news of Wang Zheng’s discharge spread like wildfire throughout the whole SIG. There was still four days till the big match. Did that mean Wang Zheng would be able to participate in the semi-finals?

Wang Zheng was at Zhang Shan’s. Zhang Shan was still in the capsule. He would need to be in there for an extended period of time since his injuries were more serious. Also, his absorption was not as good as Wang Zheng’s. Wang Zheng spoke to the doctors. They were optimistic about Zhang Shan’s condition, but it wasn’t the time to wake Zhang Shan up. It would be best to let him recover in his current state.

Achilles was in a much better situation. He was reading a book when Wang Zheng came. The Sun God was always so elegant. The nurses were delighted to take care of him.

Achilles put down his book and gave Wang Zheng a huge beam when he came.

“Looks like you’re doing fine. Can I expect you to be on the semi-finals?” Achilles asked.

Wang Zheng nodded. “We need your power if we want to defeat Aslan. We have not officially cooperated in the truest sense of the word.”

“Haha, I’m looking forward to it, but how do you plan on dealing with Atlantis? Their spiritual powers are C Level and above and their teamwork is basically seamless. I suspect that Dina Atlas’ spiritual power might be above B level now.”

What Achilles meant was they would need a similar strength to deal with them. The Atlanteans had always been in control of their strengths.

Wang Zheng smiled. “I don’t have absolute confidence, but haven’t we been like this throughout the whole journey?”

“That’s true. I’ll be a good spectator, all the best!”

Achilles grinned and both of them broke into laughter. This was friendship and trust!

Achilles shook his head helplessly as he watched Wang Zheng leave. Only Wang Zheng would continue to be so determined in such a situation. Nonetheless, Achilles wasn’t lying when he said he was looking forward to it.

“Achilles, was that Wang Zheng?” a cute nurse asked with a face full of disbelief.

“Yes, why? Doesn’t he look like him?” Achilles couldn’t help but laugh.

“Everyone said that he is the Great Demon with a strong, murderous intent. That guy just now looked very mild though.”

“Great Demon King? That guy is indeed a demon at times,” Achilles replied with a laugh.

Wang Zheng had returned!
