Beruhara replied,

“You’re absolutely right. The former Demon Kings had all underestimated the human race and were obsessed with power. But with this approach, perhaps world domination can, at last, be achieved. No, rather, it’s highly probable it will.”

Nodding at the observations of his skeleton servants’ answers, he continued on his long-held thoughts.

“But well…”

And then, as he tried to continue on, he suddenly fell silent.

He reconstructed the far-sight spell into one of a bird’s eye view and looked at the scene where the Demon King was giving food to humans, considered on par with cattle, with his very hands while being surrounded by them. In exchange, he got their thanks and adoration.

“It might be that Kengo-sama is not trying to win the humans’ lands, but rather the very heart of the human race itself.”

When he, Beruhara, stated his speculation, he understood that what he was thinking of might have not been just mere speculation.

“Truly a Demon King worthy of utmost fear. Even if I tried to, I can’t seem to grasp the very bottom of his being.”

He developed a new form of respect for Kengo as he dismissed the spell of far-sight altogether. And with that, he closed his eyes.

In comparison, he knew that the previous Demon King was not worthy of his, Beruhara, service at all.

He was one of the most warlike among all the previous Demon Kings and was extremely straightforward.

He was particularly reluctant to talk to Beruhara, who was fond of schemes, trickery and tactics, thus neglecting him and keeping him far away.

On the other hand, Beruhara decided to follow the ways of a Demon General of Sloth to exclude himself from being associated with him to a great extent. In other words, he would sit secluded in his castle and didn’t even move a finger for the previous Demon King per se.

“—In comparison, it’s really fun now. Kengo’s outrageous and kind behaviour made me curious. The thought of what else he would accomplish in the upcoming years really makes me excited despite my age. To be able to dream, whether sleeping or awake, is like the true nature of a Belphegor.”

While monologuing with a yawn, Beruhara started to fall asleep for the second time, with his stomach now in peace (after eating).

“Invasion operations, such as the reconstruction of logistics, are in for appraisal. I will have a good, proper, and long sleep while it’s completed.”

After finishing feeding the livestock, Kengo returned to the castle with the teleportation spell.

(As expected, I got really hungry.)

—When he returned, he was greeted by the three female attendants he had sent back ahead of him.

“The preparation for breakfast is complete, My King ♥.”

“It seems that Bellno-sama would also like to join you in your breakfast, My King ♥.”

“My King ♥.”

“Hmm? Will she also be joining us then?” Kengo asked in return.

Bellno was the demon general possessing the infamous name of Gluttony.

Her real name is Beelze… something this or that… in short, Beelzebub III.

Even among the Seven Demon Generals, she was among the youngest. She was a bit older than Sato, at about 60 years of age.

“What kind of meals will we be having?”

“It seems a new chef has joined us in the kitchen, so in order to test his skills, I invited her ♥.”

“IT’S THE FIRST TIME I HEARD OF THIS!”

He couldn’t stay without getting astonished.

Because, in contrast to the other demon generals, the Demon General of Gluttony was just like her image, continuously wanting to eat, even during meetings. The only thing she would say was, “… I’m hungry.”

Moreover, apart from the mandatory presence needed for the meeting, she would never make an appearance elsewhere, which made him have the impression, “Isn’t she even more of a sloth than Beruhara?” in just half a year of meeting.

“But when it comes to eating, why is she so diligent…?”

“That’s well, Beelzebub’s character ♥.”

“I don’t feel the slightest bit of happiness to have someone like her eat this, though—.”

Involuntarily, Kengo grumbled, returned to his original tone, and became murky.

(Of course, didn’t mean to say it like that but—)

“Hueeeeeee!? You don’t want to serve Miss Beelzebub’s food!?”

“Aa-a-a-a-a-r-r-r-r-r-e-e-e-e-e y-y-y-o-o-o-u-u r-r-e-a-l-l-y s-u-r-e a-b-o-u-t t-h-i-s, M-Y K-I-N-G!?”

“MY KING!!!!??????”

The attendants suddenly started trembling, huddled each together and hugged tightly.

What’s with that reaction?

“… Forgive me. It’s just a joke.”

“Is… is that so.. .Oh, it is like that eh…..”

“Don’t surprise us that much! My King is really evil… ♥.”

“My King…. ♥.”

The attendants were somehow relieved as they breathed a breath of relief, putting their hands over their chest, but were still pale and shaking.
