Chapter 5: Step 4 – Chase The Thief Down That Happened To Be Plot Important Into The Back Alley

It's been few months since my appearance in this world. Despite that, I thought it was essentially which I will awake from at some point, blissfully unaware of my shortcomings.

So I was walking down one of the commercial districts along with my personal maid, Olivia. (AKA The one that was taking care of me back when I had a coma) As it was spring, I was approparety dressed in a special-made light green dress along with the wide brim hat.

I was here do to one of my dutes as heiress of the Vallita Household which is doing an annual inspection of the goods, making sure that the product quality is up for selling, this time I'm in the food district. Of course, it was more than just an inspection.

"There would be times when the traders would try to contest the verdict of the Quality Committee. As such there must be always someone that can step in." (Father)

"Okaaaay...But why would it has be me exactly? Aren't we suppose to be the managers?" (Me)

"A foolish question. We, the members of the Vallita Household are being expected of great things. One of such is a flawless usage of knowledge of everything related to the trade." (Father)

"Hmm...I don't think I get it." (Me)

"In time you will understand. Now go." (Father)

As expected from my father, he preferred to put me into the action rather than explain in a simple fashion. Although, I did find out what he meant. 

"What!? Those accusations are ludicrous! You are not allowed to this!" (Shady Trader)

"I'm afraid this is not up for debate. Recently we received many reports of quickly rotting ening fruits that happened to come from this stand. For the time of the re-inspection, your stand must be closed until you will be clean from all suspicion." (Quality Inspector)

"Hmm? What's the ruckus?" (Me)

"Ah, Milady. There were several reports abo---" (Quality Inspector)

"Please help me! I was falsely accused by my competitors. After they saw my success, they did everything to bring the business down. Surely you will understand, young miss." (Shady Trader)

Before the Inspector could explain the situation, that guy barged in with his excuses. Now I'm not that type of person to dismiss someone just based on appearance but even without that I knew I couldn't fully trust his words.

"Is it? I will be the judge of that." (Me)

As I took two nearest apples from the stand, I squised both fruits to see whenever my hypothesis is correct. Unsurprisingly one of the apples slightly got crushed under the force even though both looked good from the outside.

"I see. Inspector, apprehend the trader and banish him out of this city immediately. Do not concern yourselves with the  procedures." (Me)

"Yes Milady!" (Quality Inspector)

"You can't be serious! Get your hands off me! How come you all listen to words of the little girl!?" (Shady Trader)

While we went on our way, that guy was babbling something but frankly I wasn't paying much attention. Funny enough being 8 year old led to many situations when I was being severely underestimated by others sometimes they even try to curry favor with me.

"Hmph. What a trash. As expected from Milady, you saw right through him. " (Olivia)

"Oh no, you give far too much credit. That guy would get into trouble sooner or later. The only thing I did was saving some time for our hardworking officials. " (Me)

While I was talking with Olivia, someone bumped into me.

"Watch were you goi-- Huh? My bag! Olivia, after him!" (Me)

"Understood." (Olivia)

Whoever that was, he certainly picked the wrong target that's what I thought. Olivia was one of the highly skilled battle maids, aside the typical maid duties they are also very good escorts and assassins.

Unfortunately in this body I wasn't able to keep up with them. Even so, I eventually caught up and I saw Olivia successfully caught the thief however my eyes immediately were glued at the perpetrator. The person in question not only wasn't a boy, she had a white hair with the face I wouldn't be able to forget no matter how hard I would try.

"What are doing here!?" (Me)

Out of all people I could have met, I never expected to run into Heroine herself that quickly!
